A/N - Surprised? :)

Eunhyuk woke up to two beeps resounding continuously, rhythmically in the room, one for his baby and another for him. Just like the last time he found himself waking up in the hospital. He sighed in relief when he saw his swollen middle.

He hadn’t lost his baby.

He remembered how the contractions had started. It was too early. It wasn’t supposed to start just yet. He had tried to get up and walk to the door to call the maid but the pain was too much...too intense…and he found himself quivering on the floor, praying that his baby was okay.

His presence was the only thing keeping him alive through all that he had been through. He couldn’t lose him. Not now. Not ever.

…because then he would lose himself.

Eunhyuk moved slightly, wanting to shift his position because the weight from his belly was hurting his back a little but there was something holding him back. He turned to his arm, the one that did not have an IV line residing in it and saw Kyuhyun there with a tight grip still on his hand.

A shiver went through the pregnant man, chilling his insides as the need to run and hide ran over him.

He is going to hurt my baby.

No I can’t let him. I won’t let him

Eunhyuk stared at his tormentor, his husband. The one that had also given him the only thing that was keeping him alive, his baby.

He was sleeping, his head at an awkward angle as he laid his head on the bed while he sat on the chair. His eyelids were swollen and there were tear stains at the edges and for some reason Eunhyuk felt guilty.

He felt guilty for causing Kyuhyun pain….but why? Hadn’t Kyuhyun given him more pain? Hadn’t he caused more tears? So why was he feeling sorry for Kyuhyun?

Eunhyuk turns when the door abruptly opens, revealing a nurse, the same one who had treated him so nicely before when he fainted outside the Obs & Gynae after running away from home…and from Kyuhyun.

She smiled warmly at him and he smiled back, feeling a small feeling of safely and security wash over him at her presence.

“How are you feeling now Eunhyuk-shi?” she asked as she neared, gently caressing his shoulder, as if telling him that everything was okay…that everything was going to be fine.

“I’m okay. Just feeling a little thirsty.” he answered and the nurse chuckled. “Well we would hope so since you have been sleeping for a little more than 36 hours. Wait, let me get yo
