Kyuhyun sat outside in the lobby, hands trembling, and palms together in a silent prayer for his wife and baby. His eyes kept darting to the emergency room door, the room to which he had been denied access to. His wife was in that room.

He clenched his hands together again, hoping, praying that they were okay.

Kyuhyun looked down at his hands as he remembered how he had lifted Eunhyuks limp body up, the way Eunhyuks head had rolled back and arms splayed. His breathing had been shallow and he had looked so pale…ghostly even…even his normally rosy red lips were white.

And he had been so light. Was he supposed to be this light? He is pregnant…seven months almost…shouldn’t he weigh more than that?

He used to weigh more than that before…and he wasn’t even pregnant then.

Kyuhyun stood up, walking to the door and touching it with his fingertips, wishing for it to open and then settle for pacing in front of it. Time seemed to be crawling by and it seemed as if Eunhyuk had been in there for hours when it was just a little more than half an hour. Kyuhyun’s eyes suddenly registered the pregnancy poster and mannequins on display. He saw the various stages of pregnancy shown. Eunhyuk’s baby bump was much smaller than that of the seven month pregnant person shown on the picture. He was thinner too.

The poster and those mannequins seem to be mocking him. He knew nothing about the pregnancy. He was trying to make himself a better person and in the process had almost completely overlooked the needs of a pregnant person, in this case a pregnant man. He rushed to the rows of pamphlets and grabbed each one. He had to know what to do, all the stages.

He had missed so much of it.

He sat back down in the chair, opening the leaflet to do what he should have done from the start; he started to read about pregnancy.

Had Eunhyuk ever had morning sickness? He remembered him always running to the bathroom before he had run away from home but Kyuhyun had always assumed the he was running away from him and had beaten him up brutally because of it. Was it because he was feeling sick?

Had he ever had cravings? Did he ever want to eat anything special? But he wasn’t eating at all. Was there anything that he wanted? Did he keep everything inside thinking that if he asked for something
