“I feel so lonely already!” I groaned thinking on what to do. “Ugh! What am I going to do with my A life?”

I stared at the ceiling groaning from time to time, hoping something would come to mind. “Oh I know! Why don’t I draw a design for mom!” I jumped out of my bed and sat at my desk, I took out my sketchbook and started drawing the outline.

10 minutes flew by, my head was aching already. “Screw this! I can’t even think of a proper design.” I yelled dropping my pencil. “Maybe I should go out! Mm, with Jieun?” I took my phone, looked through my contacts and called Jieun.

“Jieun-ah! Annyeong.” I exclaimed through the phone.

Before replying she sniffled and blew her nose, “Oh, hey Hyunmi.” 

“OH MY GOSH, are you sick?” I asked concerned. I guess hanging out with Jieun is a big ‘NO-NO’. I hope Sooyeon is available.

“Yeah, I got it from Sooyeon.” Jieun said, dropping my hopes.

My mind went blank from not knowing what else to say, so I stated the most stupidest thing yet. “Awh, so that mean’s she’s sick too.”

“Duh, Logic Hyunmi.” She sassed. 

“Wow, for a sick person like you, you sure can have a lot of attitude.” I laughed.

“Hahaha, funny. But Hyunmi, I got to go now. See you at school.” She hung up leaving me bored once again.

“Now I have nothing again. Hmm, who to call, who to call. OH, Miyoung! It’s a chance for me and her to bond.”

Miyoung and I became really close after that “incident.” It’s somehow really weird how we both just connected. It feels like we’ve known each other for ages despite the fact we only met yesterday.

The ringing of the phone made me excited, I really hope she’s available today! When I heard her pick up I loudly exclaimed, “MIYOUNGIE~!”

“OH! Hyunmi-ah, wae?” 

“Well you see, I really have nothing to do. So will you hang out with me today?” I pleaded.

“Yeah sure, what time?” She asked cheerfully. 

“At 4:30, at COEX Underground mall?” 

“Why not? Sure! I haven’t been out with a friend before.”

“Great, see you!” I hung up and excitement washed through my body. “Finally! Someone to be with! I can get out of the bored zone!”

I wore my denim shirt and skinny jeans with pink flats. I took my Gucci purse stuffed my wallet, phone and went out of my apartment. I walked towards the street of Gangnam and reached the underground mall. My mouth dropped at the size of the building. It was huge!

A lot of people were there, having fun and spending their money. I looked at my watch, “Hmm, it’s already 4:20. I wonder where Miyoung is.”

And in cue I saw Miyoung running towards me. I smiled widely as soon as she reached me.

“So, where do you want to go first?” I asked excitedly, I haven’t been out with a friend ever since moving. And friends weren’t really my thing back in Canada. Yeah, I was a loner.

“How ‘bout H&M? Or Forever 21?” Miyoung suggested. “I’ve always wanted to see their clothes. I don’t really shop a lot that’s why.”

“Really?! Well, don’t you worry. We’re going to every store and buy all their clothes. My treat!” I linked my arms around Miyoung and saw her startled expression. “Don’t worry, I’m rich.” I winked.

It’s not like I was actually going to spend a lot of money, right? My mom owns a clothing line, so I get things for free.

As expected we walked in at every store and bought each and every one of the pieces of clothes. But there was one last store to visit, Gorgeous, my mom’s clothing line.

Everything was going on great until I saw 7 familiar guys. We were getting closer and closer then it hit me, it’s EXO! Pabo!

Miyoung noticed I was staring at someone she turned her head to where I was looking. She squinted her eyes and gasped at the person she saw, she then ran towards them. My eyes widened at the sudden action. She’s a fan?

“Hyunmi! What are you doing? Come here!” She yelled. I sighed and came closer to her.

As our distance were getting short, I noticed a tall scary guy… linking arms with Miyoung! “You guys know each other?” I asked dumbly. 

“Uh, yeah.” She giggled, “He’s my cousin.” 

“WHAT? You’re cousin’s part of EXO? So that means you’re close with them too! Why didn’t you tell me? Oh my gosh, this is so sudden I’m sweating already.”

“NO! Don’t misunderstand Hyunmi, he’s not part of EXO and he doesn’t even go to our school. Their childhood friends, that’s it.”

“Yeah, I’m not part of, whatever their group name is. I just came and visited, from China.” Miyoung’s cousin finally spoke up. “By the way, I’m Tao. Nice to meet to you.”

“This is so confusing! So let me sum this whole thing up. You two are cousins and he’s childhood friends with EXO. Did you know he was coming Miyoung?” I asked still not getting the situation.

“Actually, no I didn’t. When you were looking at EXO, I spotted my cousin. He doesn’t really tell me whenever he visits.” Miyoung smiled. “Get it now?”

“Kind of…”

“Uh guys, we’re still kind of here.” One of the EXO guys said, that caught my attention. I stared at him intensively, tilting my head to one side.

GASP! It’s… “CHAN CHAN?”

He turned his head, now looking at me with his shocked eyes. “Mimi?!” He asked surprised as well.

I nodded as a response, then he ran towards me and gave me a bone crushing hug.

“C..an’t b..rea..th!”

“Sorry, I just really missed you. Ho-” I cut him off  by putting my hand over his mouth.

“I’ll explain later, okay?”

“Got it.” He whispered. “Well in the mean time let me introduce you to EXO!” He cheerfully suggested.

“Guys, this is my cousin, Park HyunMi!” He screamed earning glares from strangers. “Yah, introduce yourself.” He nudged.

“Annyeonghaseyo, Park Hyunmi-imnida” I bowed 90 degrees.

Chanyeol told them to introduce themselves too. They did what they were told. 

“Annyeonghaseyo, Kim Joon Myun-imnida, but you could call me Suho.” I nodded in response.

“I’m Wu Fan, but you can call me Kris.” He said trying to be cool, but drastically failed.

“Wait, you’re not Korean?” I interrupted.

“Mhmm, there’s 3 of us that’s half Chinese.” He explained.

“Continue.” I said with hand gestures.

“Annyeonghaseyo, Zhang Yixing-imnida, but please call me Lay.”

I started to giggle. They looked at me like I’m some kind of crazy psycho. I stopped and just kept a straight face.

“Have you gone crazy?” Chanyeol asked while torturing my ears with his yelling.

“No! He’s name just reminds me of food.”

“I was right! You did turn crazy.” My dumb cousin exclaimed.

“HEY! SHUT UP!” I glared at him then immediately smiled turning my head towards the other EXO members, “Please do continue.”

“Okay? Well, I’m Kim Jong In, but call me Kai. Only close friends call me by my real name.”

“I’m  Byun Baekhyun, but I don’t think I need to introduce myself anymore. Since we met already, right Hyunmi-shi?”

“Shut it Bacon!” I groaned, “You piece of meat, you really annoy me.” I muttered.

“Is that how you talk to a person who helped you get back home?” Baekhyun dramatically gasped, “By the way, your apartment was real nice.” He winked. 

“Aigoo, I think you need a psychiatrist. You’re getting weirder.” I rolled my eyes. 

Everyone laughed at our sudden closeness.

“You guys are like a married couple.” Kris managed to say. “You really are funny Hyunmi-shi.”

“Yeah, Kris is right. Mind if we all become friends?” Lay asked.

Shocked from the sudden question, I stuttered not knowing how to respond. Should I? Well, it’s better to be friends with my cousin’s friends, right? And they don’t seem so bad than I thought. “Sure, I guess.”

Everyone cheered, well except for one of them.

“Yah! You haven’t introduced yourself yet.” Suho commanded Luhan, but he ignored him.

“Nah, its fine I know him. His my partner in a project.” I stated.

“OOOOH, well. Have fun with Luhan.” Kris chuckled. “So, how about we all hang out?”

“But, me and Miyoung..”

“It’s okay Hyunmi, you need to catch up with your cousin and it’s the same for me. Today was really fun but I have to go back home with Tao. My mom found out he came so she said we were having a family dinner. Have fun!”

I exhaled realizing she really needed to go, “Okay, but we’ll do this again, right?”

She smiled gently and said, “Of course.”

I spent the rest of the evening with my mental cousin and potentially a really great group of guys. Yeah, even that piece of meat. But throughout the trip Luhan didn’t say one word. He didn’t even try to woo me like how Miyoung said he would usually do. He really is a confusing guy.
