Chapter 3

On the Wrong Block

I don't have much to say, except thank you to the subscribers! I'll try to keep up with the updates!

Ah, I was very tired after U-Kwon teaching me how to krump, but it was nice to step out of my comfort zone of ballet and contemporary. I went to change, hiding myself from other girls. I stepped out in my uniform and found Minhyuk and U-Kwon talking by the door.

"Ye~! Was today fun?" U-Kwon asked, walking up to me.

"It was, except I don't think krumping is in my blood." I chuckled.

"Don't worry, he looks weird trying it too. He's more of a smooth, y dancer." U-Kwon said, pointing to Minhyuk. I blushed and Minhyuk cleared his throat.

"Let's get her back now." he said, looking away. U-Kwon kept trying to talk to Minhyuk and he kept ignoring every comment.

"Kwonnie!" I heard Yunhee yell from the hall. The three of us turned to see her and Jaehyo.

"Hey Ye, you're the new rumour in the school." Jaehyo said, hugging me.

"Ew, I'm sweating, Jaehyo-ssi."

"Yah, you said my name wrong. It's Jaehyo oppa." he corrected. I heard Minhyuk mumble something.

"Um... Jaehyo oppa, what are the rumours?" I asked.

"There's one saying you cheated for the scholarship, one says you're a in the boys dorm, one says you actually are a boy and one says you're anorexic or bulimic." Yunhee named a few.

"Aw, I'm sorry. It's probably people who are jealous." U-Kwon said, trying to comfort me. I shrugged it off.

"I don't really mind, I was expecting them anyway."

"Are you sure?" Jaehyo asked. I nodded.

"Okay... well, I wanna make sure you get back without you getting attacked, but I have to go to boxing practice." Yunhee said. My eyes grew twice its size.

"Y-y-you box?!" I shouted. Everybody laughed.

"Yep, I sure do! I have to train with the guys though, because there isn't a girls team. It though because the boys here are weaker than a twig." she complained. She trained with boys? No wonder why everybody gets scared of her.

"I swear, you're a guy." Minhyuk said.

"Yah, you're just saying that because you know I could beat you any day." Yunhee retorted. Minhyuk made a face at her.

"Well, hyung has piano today with Jaehyo..." Yunhee thought.

"Is my existance forgotten?" U-Kwon pouted.

"Oh yeah, Kwonnie! Can you take Yeseul back?" Yunhee's face brightened along with U-Kwon.

"Totally! Let's go, Ye!" he smiled. Minhyuk mumbled something again and left.

"I'll see you back at the dorm, Ye." Jaehyo winked.

"Take her back safe, Kwonnie!" Yunhee yelled before she ran off to her practice.

"So, do you want to go strait home? Or do you want to explore?" U-Kwon asked. I remembered I actually needed to go shopping for some food, and it wouldn't hurt to go around for a little bit.

"Do you mind giving me a tour of places to go here?" I asked. He nodded his head very fast.

"Of course! But let's go to the dorm once to drop your school stuff off. You don't want to carry that heavy bag around either, do you?" he asked. I shook my head, realizing it was in the way.

"Here, I'll hold it. Let's go!" he said, taking the bag from my shoulder. I blushed when his body got close to mine. He rested the bag strap on his shoulder and led me out of the school.

"Ye~ I have a question~." U-Kwon said, looking at my bag.

"I hope I have an answer." I said.

"I thought you were a dancer, but this bag says rhythmic gymnastics." He read.

"Oh, when I was in ballet, a teacher said I'm lacking flexibility, so my umma got angry and took me to rhythmics." I explained.

"That explains your flexibility in the dance you did today!" he exclaimed, puzzling things together in his mind.

"I guess so~." I said as we entered the dorm.

"I'll be back really quick, I just need to grab my wallet." I said, before walking in my room.

"Are you sure? You should change. I'm going to, this uniform's too constricting." he said.

"Oh, then I guess I'll change too. I'll really try to be fast." I said.

"No, take your time!" He said and walked in his room. I walked in mine and almost ran to my still unpacked suit case. I looked for a cute shirt. I pulled out a white undershirt and a yellow crop-top that covered my upper arms. I got a pair of jeans out and checked myself in the mirror. I grabbed a necklace with a fake citrine (sorry, I'm too poor to afford a real one), and put it on quickly. I got my wallet and a small purse to carry. I slowly walked back to the door, afraid to stand there awkwardly. I opened the door, and found U-Kwon standing by his door. He was wearing a pair of dark jeans and a white tank top with a black flannel over it. Just standing there, he could be a model. It was too much. He saw me and a smile grew on his face.

"Wow, you look pretty!"

"I-I do? I just changed my clothes..." I said, surprised.

"I know, but you look really nice in that shirt! Your necklace is pretty too." he complimented.

"Thank you..." I blushed. He laughed a little.

"Anyway, where do you need to go?" he asked while walking.

"Something I really need to do is grocery shopping. Other than that, I just wanted to look around."

"Okay! I'll take you to the mall first, then we can go shopping!" he planned. I nodded as we got off the elevator. He walked me to the bus stop and we had to wait for about five minutes. The time passed quickly with him, though; he was so fun to talk with. He truly reminded me of my old friend back home and he made me really happy. We stepped off the bus and he walked me to the mall.

"Ye, you should link arms with me... it'll get crowded and I don't want you getting lost." he said.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah~ I don't want to lose you." he said, looking at me with his innocent eyes. I smiled and linked arms. He smiled back.

"So, what's this place known for?" I asked.

"Hm... mainly the clothes. They're really flashy, but they're all really nice. Like those!" he said and pointed to a store. The displayed clothes were bright neon colors, but they didn't really catch my eye.

"I agree, they don't suit you." he said. I nodded and he showed me more stores, and he was right. They were all very flashy, and some were awkwardly revealing. The two of us laughed at people attempting to look nice in the clothes.

"Ye, I think you'd like this store." he said and I turned to see a nice store with calm pastel colors, and moderate skin showing clothes. Those looked nice and comfortable at the same time.

"Do you want to look inside?" he asked.

"Are you sure? I don't want to bore you..." I said, feeling bad I was taking his time already.

"I'm not bored. Seeing your smile is enough for me." he said. I blushed.

"Come on, let's go inside!" he said and pulled me in. He stopped and gravity made me run in to his body.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I said, pulling back. He put his arm on my shoulder.

"It's okay. And I know what Jaehyo meant by how you're huggable!" he said, leading me to different clothes. I wondered what they meant about that fact. I hardly got hugged by anyone but my female friends.

"Ye, I want to see you try this on. I think you'll look nice in it." he said and pointed to a yellow shirt that would stretch to your thighs.

"I'm not sure..." I said.

"I'm pretty sure you'd look nice in it. Here, I'm guessing you're a small." he said and got a shirt for me. I took it and I walked to the changing room, finding there would be no point in arguing. I sighed and tried the shirt on, and he was right. I stepped out, finding U-Kwon. His expression was more surprised than mine.

"Wow... I guess I was right. You look nice!" he smiled, a slight blush on his face.

"Thank you, U-Kwon oppa." I said. His smile grew again.

"You called me oppa without me making you! Yay!" he said. I nodded, proud of myself to grow the courage. I turned back to the dressing room and went back to my original clothes. I mentally debated about buying the shirt. After seeing U-Kwon's reaction, I felt the need to buy it. I my breath in and looked at the price tag. 10,000 won! (About $10, please correct me if I'm wrong) I walked out to see a still happy U-Kwon.

"So will you buy it?" he asked me. I nodded happily.

"Yay!" he cheered and walked me to the register. I bought the shirt and walked out of the store before I wanted to buy anything else.

"Ye, I want to show you more, but we should go buy your food before it gets dark." U-Kwon said, putting his arm around me again.

"O-okay..." he led me out of the mall and walked me to a nearby supermarket.

"So, what food are you looking for?" he asked me.

"Vegetables, fruit, bread, just basic food to live with." I answered.

"Ye, I think it's great, but why are you so healthy?"

"I'm just-,"

"I'm just hoping those rumours aren't true...  The ones about the eating disorders... I saw how all you ate was a salad for lunch and you barely ate breakfast... I think you're pretty, if that's what you're worried about." he said, looking in my eyes. I was speechless. No one had ever said that to me, and I didn't know how to reply to him. I sighed.

"I'm sorry... but I promise it's not that. I just grew up eating this way." I told him.

"Are you sure?" he said, gaining some happiness in his eyes. I nodded. He gave his smile again.

"Okay. Sorry if I accused you of anything." he said.

"It's fine." I said. I felt terrible though, for not telling him the complete truth. He smiled the entire time we were shopping and I ended up buying quite a lot to last me the week. I went to the register to pay for my food, and my bags ended up being heavier than expected. I felt U-Kwon's hand take them from mine.

"Don't play the 'are-you-sure' game, I can hold them." he smiled and carried the bags in just one arm. Ah, even under his flannel, I could see his flexed bicepts. He used his free arm to hold me closer to him again.

"U-Kwon oppa, I have a question this time." I said. I saw him grin at me.

"What's your question?"

"I was wondering why you went to another class when it was the math period. Everything else, you were my seat partner." I said, replaying the day. His smile slowly diminished.

"That's because..." he looked for ways to explain.

"I'm sorry, you don't have to answer." I said.

"No, I want to tell you, but it's a little embarrassing." he said.

"I don't judge." Trust me, I know that feeling.

"I'm not smart. I'm barely in the grade for my age right now. I was held back just for math, because I kept failing it." he said shyly. It hurt to see him sad. I stopped walking and faced him to wrap my arms around his waist.

"Don't worry, oppa. I don't mind. I'm not that smart, and you're still U-Kwon oppa." I said softly. I felt his chin rest on my head.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Of course!" I said. I felt him grin.

"Thank you, Ye." he hugged me back with his free arm. We stayed like that for a while and when we let go, he smiled to me for a while.

"Ye, you're really nice." He said and walked me to the bus stop. I felt my heart skip when he locked his eyes with mine and smiled. When the bus got us back to the dorm, he still held me in his arm, which made me worry about what other people were thinking.

"Don't worry about the girls. They need a life." he assured me. I nodded as we walked in, seeing Jihoon by the vending machine.

"Oh, hi noona! I remembered how you got orange juice last time, so I'm trying it." he said, taking it out from the bottom. That reminded me, that I should have some too, feeling my body's faigue.

"Do you want one too?" U-Kwon asked. I nodded, walking towards the machine. U-Kwon stepped in front of me, putting his money in.

"Don't play the game, Ye~." he said before I could stop him. He got the juice for me and handed it to me.

"Let's go back to your dorm." he smiled, taking my groceries again. Jihoon went up the elevator with us, but skipped back to his room on his own.

"Thanks for taking me today, oppa." I said as I walked down the hall.

"Don't thank me! It was fun!" he said, stopping at my door. I opened the door, having him follow me.

"You don't have to come in, aren't you tired of me?" I said.

"Of course not! I could never get tired of you." he almost pouted. He set my groceries on my counter. I got a few out, and put them in the fridge.

"Ye, do you need me to put the frozen veggies in the freezer?" U-Kwon asked.

"No!" I said, immediately regretting the way I shouted. I couldn't help but fear him opening the freezer and seeing my insulin.

"I-I'm so sorry to yell at you like that. I'm not angry, I just can't have you see anything." I tried to explain.

"It's okay, I'm not mad either." he said, smiling. I let a breath out. He handed me the frozen things and put them away myself, making sure nothing was seen. After everything was put away, I drank more of my juice.

"Hey Ye, I know you just bought all of this, but you should come have dinner with us again." U-Kwon said to me.

"But I don't want to continue to intrude and take your food all the time."

"Taeil won't care. At least today!" he said, almost begging.

"Okay, if it's fine with everybody..."

"Alright!" he jumped, taking my shoulder. I closed the door behind me, and walked across the hall with U-Kwon holding me. This was the first time I've been close to a boy, my heart skipped everytime he held on to me. I couldn't help but smile with happiness. He opened the door to his dorm, only to be greeted my an angry Taeil.

"Thank goodness you guys are back!" he said.

"Sorry~, but she's back safe, that's all that matters, right?" U-Kwon said, grinning. I saw Minhyuk walk up.

"Glad you're back alright." he half smiled. I nodded to him, wondering if he was irritated again.

"Anyway, are you here for dinner again?" Taeil asked me.

"If that's okay with you guys..." I said.

"We don't mind~. I'm still getting it ready, so make yourself comfortable here." he said and walked away. I awkwardly stood there, not knowing what to do.

"Ye, do you want to see my room?" U-Kwon suggested. Before I could answer, he led me to a room with two beds, one neatly made, the other slightly messy.

"Yeah, I should've cleaned before inviting you." U-Kwon scratched his head.

"It's fine, I'm pretty messy too." I laughed. I looked at his bookcase, filled with manga and anime dvds.

"I'm guessing you like manga?" I said, looking at them.

"Yep! That explains why I'm not smart." he said.

"No, oppa, you're smart. And if you don't think so, you're still a very good person." I told him. He hugged me from behind.

"Thank you, Ye. You're a very nice person too." he said.

"Oh, I guess someone's getting close to the girl." Jiho said, walking in. I felt my face blush, but U-Kwon didn't let go.

"Don't worry, we're just best friends, right?" he said to me. I slightly nodded.

"Was your first day okay?" Jiho asked.

"Yes, I had an interesting day filled with females raging at me." I said.

"Ah, the girls. They're strange." Jiho said and walked away.

"Dinner's ready!" Taeil called from the kitchen. U-Kwon let go and walked with me to the table, which was covered with lightly cooked chicken with salad and rice.

"Kyung wouldn't shut up about Lucy's chicken today so he made me make some for today, but don't worry, it has hardly any sodium or fat." Taeil announced. The boys looked a little more excited this time.

"Kyung-oppa, do you possibly have a crush on Lucy?" I asked. He dropped his chopsticks.

"N-n-n-n-noooo!! I t-t-totally don't!" he stuttered, dropping his chopsticks everytime he tried picking them up. I smiled at his denial, which made it obvious he does.

"Okay, I won't tell her anything." I said as I took a bite of salad.

Dinner went pretty smooth, and was filled with talks about the annoying "fan girls". I lingered around for a little bit after dinner, not wanting to go back to a lonely dorm. It eventually came time for me to go back and U-Kwon offered to walk me back again.

"Yeseul, just letting you know, tomorrow we don't have dance, we just have a PE class, so just take gym clothes." Minhyuk said before we left the room.

"Thank you for telling me again! I'll see you tomorrow." I turned to look at him, but he seemed annoyed again. I shrugged it off as U-Kwon closed the door behind him.

"Ye, I hope you had a nice day." U-Kwon said as we stopped at my door.

"I really did, thank you for taking me everywhere." I said to him.

"It's fine, it was a lot of fun!" he said and hugged me. He stayed that way for a long time.

"Ye, I'm really glad you moved here." he said.

"Really?"

"Yep~." he let go of me and looked in my eyes again.

"Remember, if you have a nightmare, I'm just a call away." he smiled. I blushed a little bit.

"But oppa, I don't have your phone number..."

"Oh man... I was supposed to be the man and ask for yours." he mumbled.

"Hm?"

"Nothing! Here, put your number in and I'll message you." he said, handing me his phone.

"Okay." I said and tapped my number in. I gave it back, and his hand brushed mine as he took it back. My heart skipped and my face reddened.

"Good night Ye, sweet dreams." he said and walked away with his hands in his pocket. I closed my door and slid to the floor, my heart pretty much melting. I felt my cheeks, almost burning my hands.

"I'm glad I moved too..."

 Meanwhile in the boys room....

U-Kwon walked across the hall, a little shy. He squeezed his phone happy he was closer to Yeseul now. When he opened the door, many eyes were turned to him.

"You like Yeseul, don't you?" Jiho accused. U-Kwon clammed up, not knowing what to say. He was a bad liar.

"Hyung likes noona! Hyung likes Noona!" Jihoon cheered.

"Yah, shut up!" U-Kwon snapped back, his face turning red. He walked away to his room and shut the door.

"Don't get mad at me, I didn't say anything." Minhyuk said. U-Kwon's face cooled as he lay on his bed. He pulled his phone out, and typed a message.

"I know I just saw you, but I wanted to wish you a good night one more time. Sweet dreams :3" U-Kwon sighed.

"Hyung, I'm happy."

"Good for you." Minhyuk said, a little irritated. He was tired of Jaehyo and U-Kwon talking to Yeseul constantly. He had to ask himself a few things before falling asleep. U-Kwon's phone buzzed, and he opened the message immediately.

"Thank you, oppa~ I hope you have sweet dreams too. Good night!-Ye :D" U-Kwon couldn't help grinning, and let the phone fall to his face. He hugged his pillow thinking about Yeseul.

'It's gonna be hard to hide it... but I have a huge crush on Ye...' he thought and drifted to a peaceful sleep.
