Baekhyun and Chanyeol fly through Sehun’s memories making their final checks before they send Sehun off to the next life. It’s all changed.

Sehun no longer waits outside the theatre, sitting hunched over on the ground.

There’s no Luhan for him to wait for, no Luhan to run out of the cinema and ask why he left.

Instead, he’s flanked by Lay and Junmyeon, as the three run through the food court and into the darkened room.

They’re all excited to see a new movie about space, Sehun the most.

Junmyeon carries the popcorn whilst his younger brother carries the drinks. Lay kicks up dirt and laughs at something Junmyeon said.

Luhan is still in the theatre sitting with the stuffed teddy bear on the seat next to him, but he is a ghost.






The scene fades to a classroom. People are shouting out their ambitions. Sehun sits at the back next to Lay, and Junmyeon sits at the front.

Junmyeon announces to the class he wants to become a writer, and Sehun gives him the thumbs up. Lay says he wants to be a firefighter.

“What do you want to be, Sehun?” the teacher asks.

“An astronaut!”

Luhan stands at the back of the room, his book on lighthouses in hand, waiting to be noticed. But there’s nothing.

His name’s been scratched off the class list, and no one talks to him anymore.

He’s like a stranger.






The lighthouse sits unattended; instead a green car drives by. Sehun and Junmyeon are sitting in the backseat, away at ice cream after their trip to the carnival.

Luhan sits under the lighthouse, looking down from the top of the cliff. He watches as Sehun drives by, and a tear slips down his cheek.






Sehun and Junmyeon are sitting in their shared room.

Sehun occupies the top bunk, and Junmyeon is at the desk.

“Finished!” the older exclaims.

It’s his first draft.

His first, real draft.

He’s going to send it in to a publishing company and hope it’s good enough. Sehun has been there every step of the way, encouraging his older brother.

He doesn’t realise that Luhan is still waiting for him, underneath the lighthouse, tearing away at the flecks that need to be repainted.






Junmyeon keeps dropping envelopes in the mail, envelopes to N.A.S.A.

Sehun had almost given up trying to get in, but Junmyeon would have none of it.

He’ll keep trying for his younger brother until he gets in. He knows Sehun can make it.

Once a week, in rain, hail, or shine, Junmyeon is at the letterbox with another package to send.

Luhan is sitting on the bench, unseen.






They’re at the library, and it’s a warm sunny day. Junmyeon sits behind a desk as a line snakes its way slowly towards him.

A copy of his new release sits in the window, and avid readers jump over one another to grab their copy.

Sehun and Lay watch on behind him, happiness clearly written all over their faces.

Sehun gives his brother the thumbs up when an attractive looking woman scrawls her number on a slip of paper and flings it in his direction, over the tabletop.

Luhan is in the library too, a copy of Hans Christian Andersen sitting open on his lap as he sits cross-legged on the carpet.

He can’t stop staring at Sehun, waiting for him to notice his presence; that he’s still there.

Sehun’s eyes flicker over in his direction, and Luhan’s heart rate picks up. But it’s nothing. As quickly as the glance comes, it is once again gone.

Sehun doesn’t notice him.

Instead, Sehun pulls a vibrating phone out of his pocket and answers it, placing it close to his ear.

He lets out a strangled cry of joy and is hushed by the librarian.

He doesn’t care; Sehun runs over to Junmyeon and pulls him into a warm embrace.

He’s made it.

After all this time, he’s finally made it into N.A.S.A.






Places fade and change. There is no lighthouse and no mansion. Instead, there is a large, white building.

The green car makes its way down the road, turning off before this building. Sehun gets out, slams the door behind him, and runs up the steps.

He’s in training.

He’s going to be an astronaut.

He’s going to the moon.

But Luhan still waits.
