Chapter 7- Meeting Taeyeon

******

(Yoona POV)

9:00 a.m.

Sooyoung's Apartment

"Ehmmm." I stifled a yawn. I raised my back from the plump couch, sliding down the fluffy blankets from my neckline. "Never had I slept in such a bed that feels like clouds from home."

"Sooyoung unnie?" I called out while I was brushing my tangled hair. "Sooyoung?"

But there was no answer.

I slid off the couch; my feet touched the cool wooden floor. I shuffled my feet towards the kitchen. When I arrived at the small area, I saw a bowl of milk with many brown crusty spheres floating inside at the small table. Next to it was a hand-written note.

I approached the table and grabbed the note, reading it.

I had to go for work. Down below, here's my code for our apartment. Don't be late to your first day of work! P.S: Your breakfast is called "Cereal." - Sooyoung

"C-e-real?" I scrunched my face and looked back to my meal. It was sitting there innocently; a silver spoon was next to me, tempting my growling stomach to eat.

"Better than nothing." I grumbled.

--------

After breakfast, I stepped outside to the nauseous city again; wrinkling my nose at the pollutions from the vast herd Taxis zooming down the crowded road. I opened my mouth but closed them again, remembering Sooyoung's advice to never complain about this city's dump.

"I guess I can waste my time by visiting the park." I sighed. I walked towards the left side, where a spot of bright greenery could be seen.

I was wearing a pair of jeans with a white flowing blouse, trying to match it with my brown hair. Yes, I was too lazy to bother learning about Earth from the heaven but ask my friends! I am an expert with the Earth's diverse fashions.

After a few minutes of walking, I finally reached my favorite place. I took a deep breath and smiled at the fresh air. In the daylight, this place looks even more beautiful than what I saw at night. Little kids were chasing each other through the grass, laughing and chattering like the chipmunks who were watching them from their safe haven. There were some couple humans jogging on the sidewalk through the trees, listening from their uncanny little machines that were called "mp3 players." Surrounded by the ambience of peace and happiness, I skipped myself away to one of the nearby benches.

"Hello Hello Angel." Along the way, the park's trees were swaying their strong branches, waving their green foil leaves in the wind to say their hellos to me.

I caught their hellos and waved back with my own hand, smiling at their friendly hospitality. "Hello! Today's my first day of work!" I signaled to the peaceful trees excitedly.

After my news, the gentle breeze came between my companions again, shaking their wide leaves with a brushing sound as if they were laughing heartily at my joy.

I waved back my good-byes and plopped myself down on the bench that I arrived. Once seated, I pulled out my Earth's guide, flipping to the middle of the book.

How to do your Main job:

While working in a human's job is one of the rules, you also need to send us your reports on any acts of sin that you see! VERY IMPORTANT! Here's on how to do it!

1) Bring out the notebook from your satchel and a golden pen.
2) Name the description of the person committing the sin, and the sin that they were doing.

It is the most quick, efficient way to report the acts of sins on Earth. Good luck! And remember, the notebook paper never runs out of paper!

"Hmm sounds easy enough." I said. I returned the guide back to my brown satchel, replacing it with a very plain white notebook and brilliant gold pen. "Since when did they arrive in my bag? I never had seen them before."

Before I could open the book, I perked my head up at the cries of a woman. The female and the male were marching on the pathway in the park, only it feels like I'm watching the game of cat and mouse.

"Just leave me alone! Please just go back to your friends!" A female cried.

"Queer. I can't leave you alone you stupid gay." The male stalked her even closer. "Your kind is really disgusting."

"I told you a million times! I am not gay!" The female replied desperately.

"Oh yeah? Are you sure you’re not gay? Thanks to you freak! My girlfriend is in love with you so much that she wants to break up with me!"

The female stopped, turning her back towards the tall male. "It's not my fault okay? I never met your girlfriend but maybe she wants to break up with her dirty slobbery pig boyfriend."

"YAH!" The male grabbed the female's shirt, making the girl shriek while his other arm was pulled behind him. "You ****! I'm going to show you how gays shouldn't even be allow being here!"

When the girl kept on screaming, attracting the visitors at the park to turn around at the scene, I slammed my body onto his, pushing his body towards the ground.

"Oh my god!"

Fortunately, he did let go of her, leaving the girl speechless as I brush off the dirt casual off my top. "Are you okay?" I asked her in my reassuring tone.

"F-Fine thank you." The girl replied shakily; hearing her voice closer sounded so elegant, so mature for a girl like her at a young age.

"What's your name?"

"Taeyeon. Kim Taeyeon."

"Hi T-T-a-e-Yeon!" I smiled and brought out my hand. "My name is Yoona!"

I mentally cursed at my pronunciation of her name but I still had my hand out. Usually, I thought humans will shake each other hands immediately when one brought out theirs but Taeyeon hesitated. She gave me skeptical looks at my beaming self but in the end, she took my outstretched hand. "Uh nice to meet you Yoona."

"Ugh..." The beefy guy groaned.

We both jumped at his croaky voice. "Oh crap." I said. "Let's just go away from this bad man now!"

Taeyeon nodded and we both run off away from the park. While running away, packs of little children were tottering towards the man on the ground. They observed him with their big eyes as they poked him like if he was a lumpy caterpillar.

"Bad Bad man is funny. Angel is a hero hero today." The trees we passed by cheered for my act, shaking their leaves again like the sounds of their wondrous applause.

I grinned and took a bow in front of them. "Yes bad man deserved what he got. You are all wonderful companions!"

"Uh... Yoona-ssi? What are you doing?"

I froze at my curtsy, turning my head around to meet the short girl staring at me with a peculiar expression on her face. I laughed uneasily and straighten up my body. "Umm... I was taking a stretch? My body does ache from pushing that guy."

False. I didn't feel like my bones were about to break while pushing him. But, my body was kind of aching after the collision but it was only just a feeling. A small message that is easy to ignore.

"Well anyways, thanks again." Taeyeon sighed. "He always hates gays in his life. I don't know why he would just accuse me like that even though I'm not. Gays are just people like us."

"I agree." I nodded. "He's just doesn't have enough knowledge to get through."

"Yes! You are exactly right!" Taeyeon agreed. "Oh! Thank you so much again! I have to go to my boss Yuri now!"

"Yuri?" I repeated the name excitedly. "The one who sell flowers? I work there too!"

"Jinga?" Taeyeon widened her eyes in surprise. "Wow! We have another worker? This is great!"

"This is going to be so much fun!" I smiled at my new friend. "Can you show me the store there again? I can't really remember where it is."

"Sure Yoona-ssi!" She smiled. "Just follow me!"

As the short blonde took a lead, I happily skipped around with her, scribbling my words behind her on my white notebook.

Today, a man was trying to hurt a woman in the park because he thought she was gay.

-------

"Ah! We are here!" Taeyeon opened the door for us, jingling the same bells that I almost missed to hear yesterday along with the owner's enchanting voice.

"Hmm." I inhaled the sweet flowers. "It's great to be back at this place again."

"I know right? It relieves my stress from college." Taeyeon sighed. "Well I will see you later! I have to start making deliveries. Be back in minutes!" She waved at me and disappeared into the back door.

"C-C-o-llege?" I stuttered when the door finally closed. "What the heck is that?"

Glancing from side to side, I checked if Yuri was on the same floor as me. Seeing that I'm finally alone in the store, I excitedly fluttered my legs from plant to plant, observing and introducing myself to the flowers that I will be taking care of now. "Hello! My name is Yoona!"

"Angel angel is here." A chorus of many different type of flowers; all of them was quite glad that they met me. "Hello Hello."

"Do you know what a college is?"

"College! College! A school school maybe Angel? The white daisies cheered quite friendly.

"Yes yes! It might be a school!" I laughed at the cute daises' answer. "I can't wait to take care of you all!"

"Yoona-ssi?"

I felt a tap on my shoulder, breaking me apart from my conversation with the flowers. Panic was streaming through my brain when I saw her beautiful face staring at me. "Wow, you are just on time!"

"Oh! I didn't see you there Yuri-ssi." I apologized, immediately bringing up my hand to comb my hair. "I'm ready for work now!"

"Good!" Yuri laughed. "Thank you for applying here! I can see that you really like the flowers considering how you treat them on your first visit."

"Nah, they are just too friendly." I giggled and glance to the daisies beside her who was laughing silently with me too.

"Alright! So um..." Yuri cleared . "This is your worker's apron." She brought out green clothing in front of me. "You can change in the back okay?"

"Okay!" I said, taking the rough material in front of me. "Where again?"

"Right there, behind the door where it keeps the pots of all sorts." Yuri pointed at the door beside the stairs. "After that, come out so I can assign you your first work."

"Yes ma’am!" I playfully saluted to her with my hand and walk away to the closet, slighting skipping away as if I'm five years old. Why am I acting so friendly to her? So friendly like a baby's first laughter?

"Oh! Yoona-ssi! What is your last name by the way?" Yuri said.

"My last name?" I turned around and tilt my head to the side. "It's Im Yoona! Sorry... That headache really got to me yesterday."

Big big lie. Thank goodness Sooyoung helped me with my last name! She gave that last name "Im" because she found it on a rice cake package she bought from the supermarket last name.

"Im Yoona..." She nodded with sympathy and walk back to the counter, keeping her head down. I confusingly stared at her, pouting my lips together when I suddenly heard her talking to herself. "Yuri-yah you can do this! Fighting Yuri! Fighting!" The owner pulls out her fist and gave herself an encouraging gesture.

Wow... You are so cute. I dreamily said, sighing at her presence. It's good to be here, especially around you Yuri.

Before I stayed too long, I unlocked the door in front of me and went inside. As soon as I was closing the door, the flowers in the room were chanting together to me again.

"The flower girl girl has pink pink cheeks. Angel? Why why?"
