Year: 2005

            Kim Hyun Soo stared at the flat screen that was the only one in the whole country to stream South Korean news. There was some big news apparently about this new Korean boy band called Super Junior that is apparently the next big thing.

            He sighed. Being one of the main officials in Hyunteria, he knew the desperate situation the country had. They might as well give up and go to the South in order to get food. He picked up the phone and called the Spy Intelligence office.

            “Yes Mr. Kim?”

            “Please send several of our best teenage operatives to the meeting room.”

            “Yes Sir.”

            A few moments later, ____ teenage boys showed up in front of him. They were around 15. Not old enough to draw suspicion, yet.

            “Good, I have a mission for all of you. South Korea is starting something called kpop and I have big plans for this. Are you all decently talented?”

            They shrugged and said they had some talents. He studied them and noted that all of them were fitter than most of the citizens and had decently looking faces. “Okay, here’s the plan.”

            Year: 2012

            Kim Hyun Soo sat in front of the television for one more check before setting the plan in motion. The young reporter was interviewing American fans all around the world, US, UK, France, China, Japan, Australia, everywhere.

            “We love Super Junior!”

            He smirked. So his suspicions had turned out after all. But there were plenty of others.

            “Shinee!”

            “Big Bang is debak!”

            “SNSD!!!”

            “Mblaq!”

            “I love Infinite!”

            “I learned Korean so I can live in Korea and meet Beast!”

            “2NE1!”

            “f(x)”

            “2am and 2pm!”

            “CN Blue!”

            The list went on and on… Kim Hyun Soo took a deep breath before looking at the trained operatives in front of him and the operatives already planted inside South Korea. He didn’t know how popular these ‘idols’ were… but even if they weren’t the gods that everyone thought they were, they could get some decent money out of this.

            “Okay. Everyone knows their jobs and their targets, correct?”

            The agents nodded.

            “Remember not to kill anyone, we don’t want a war on our hands.”

            He sighed as the agents bowed and strode from the room. He looked at the poor citizens and then the happy ones on the television screen. Nothing could go wrong, right?”

            ___ phones dinged in the middle of various practices and concerts. When the messages were received, they were met by grim faces, regretful sighs, and then a bitter determination.
