Chapter Eight
Fishy Hae is mine!'Let's watch some tv, Hae.' Hyuk proposed.
Hae nodded eagerly as he dropped himself next to his best friend. He leaned his head against the other's shoulder.
'Are you still sleepy, Hae Hae?' Hyuk frowned.
'No, Hyukkie but you are the best pillow!'
Hyuk grumbled but couldn't hold back a blush.
He was changing the channels until he found what he was looking for.
Hae pouted. 'No cartoon?'
'Look Hae, those two guys are really really close no?' Hyuk started.
'Yes, they look like the bestest of friends.'
'Uhhu.'
Suddenly one of the guys pecked the other on the cheek.
'See Hae, they are more than just friends. I think they will get married when they are old.' Hyuk said while observing his fish closely.
Hae frowned. 'But they are two boys.'
'Yes, boys can love boys. They don't need wives.' Hyuk hinted.
Hae just shrugged and ran off.
'Hae, where are you going?'
'Strawberry juice!'
Hyuk sighed and threw the remote control away.
'Kids, soon the school festival will be happening.' The teacher said excited.
'Yayyyyyyy' Hae was jumping up and down.
'We prepared a dance this year.' The teacher continued. 'We'll divide you up in pairs of two. Any suggestion's how to split you all up?'
Hyuk immediately lifted his finger.
'Hyukjae?'
'Alphabetically!'
'Okay, we can do it like that.' The teacher smiled.
Hyuk ran up to Hae and grabbed his arm. 'You are with me.'
Hae grinned widely.
Hae was playing at Hyuk's house. They were doing hide and seek, which Hae loved. Hyuk not so much.
It was Hae's turn to search for the monkey.
Hyuk had hidden in his closet, like usual and was going through his treasure box. He held up the plastic ring Hae had given him a while ago. He smiled and pecked it.
Suddenly, sooner than expected, the closet door opened and Hae peeked in. 'Found you!' Hae beamed.
Hyuk quickly hid the ring behind his back.
'Hey what is that?' Hae frowned.
'N-nothing!' Hyuk stuttered, getting up and pushing Hae aside.
'Show me!' Hae begged.
'N-no, let's have chocolate.' Hyuk tried to distract the fish. He walked backwards.
Hae still tried to catch a glimpse of what the monkey was hiding.
Hyuk stumbled and the ring fell outside on the edge of the window.
Both boys gasped.
'Oh no!!!' Hae yelled. 'It could drop in the bushes and then you'll never find it again!'
Hae quickly climbed to the window and leaned out.
'Hae stop it!' Hyuk screamed.
'Hyukkie, it's the ring I gave you, I have to save it!'
Dangerously he was hanging out the window.
'Hae, please, don't.' Hyuk tried to pull the other in. Tears already welling up.
Hae still stretched and was about to lose his balance, Hyuk grabbed him by the pants just in time. The ring dropped down.
'Nooooooooooo' Hae cried out.
Hyuk quickly pulled Hae completely inside.
'Don't do that again.' Hyuk sobbed and hugged Hae tight.
Hae started crying too. 'It's gone, Hyukkie.'
'I don't care!' Hyuk screamed and held on to his fish.
