Long ago lived a wise king who was adored by all. Together with his beloved queen, he lived a wonderful and humble life. After several failed attempts to conceive, her majesty finally announced that she was pregnant. Ofourse, the king was ecstatic, happy to have someone continue his legacy after he steps down from his throne.

Everything went well, that is, until the queen lost her life during labor. The king was drowned in despair. Nothing could cheer him up, not even the arrival of his beloved son. Soon, the aching of his heart clouded his more than intelligent mind. Demented, he executed the entire female population within his kingdom, wanting all the husbands to suffer and feel his grief. 

However, his barbaric actions were not left without any consequences. He had angered the most powerful of all the witches, dawning a curse on his little boy. Now, every full moon, when the spell takes effect, the child is forced to retreat into the woods where he will suffer a punishment for a crime in which he took no part of.
