Chapter 29

[Outside the Cabin]

            Yoseob exhaled as he walks outside the cabin. Everyone looked up. EunHee ran up to Yoseob and asked, “Oppa, how’s Min unnie?” Yoseob responded, “She’s fine. She just woke up. I’m going to bring her some food and water. Sorry I couldn’t help you guys.” HaeNi walked up to EunHee and Yoseob and said, “Kwaenchana. Don’t worry about it. There are a lot of us.” SeungHo watched from afar in anger. The amount of jealousy he is feeling right now is burning. It is taking him a lot of self-control to not cause a scene. He doesn’t want to ruin everyone’s mood. This is supposed to be a mini-vacation. JunHyung said, “Yoseob-ah, most of the food is done. You can grab some for MinKyung.” EunHee said, “I will help you gather some food for her.”

            MinKyung’s voice then interrupted everyone. MinKyung said weakly, “Guys…” Yoseob immediately ran to her and scolded, “Yah! What are you doing? You shouldn’t be forcing yourself to walk right now. You just woke up from fainting too. Come on, I’m taking you back inside.” MinKyung said, “Anio, oppa. I don’t want to be stuck inside the whole trip. Plus, I feel fine. I just have to hold onto something and walk slowly. I feel like I already ruined everyone’s mood. We should all be having fun. I can’t even help everyone out.” DongWoon said, “MinKyung-ah, don’t say that. We are friends.  It’s not your fault. We are just glad that it wasn’t serious.” EunHee said with a frown, “Yeah unnie! Don’t say that. We all care about you very much.” MinKyung said with a smile, “Araso araso. I really don’t want to go back inside though. I can just sit here. I will be good.”

            Yoseob went to grab his camping chair and set it near the campfire. He walks back to MinKyung and carries her bridal style. Everyone gasps, including MinKyung. MinKyung’s heart starts beating rapidly and her face turned bright red. Yoseob walks to his chair and set her down. MinKyung said still blushing, “O-oppa…you didn’t have to carry me. I could have walked here or I could have walked while holding onto your arm or something.” Yoseob said, “And risk you hurting your ankle again? Don’t speak such nonsense. Just sit here. If you need anything, tell us.” MinKyung nod her head and smiled in response. Before Yoseob walks away, MinKyung grabs his hand. Yoseob turn to her with a questioning look. MinKyung looks at him in the eyes and said, “Komawo, oppa.” Yoseob smiled in response and then join the rest of them. SeungHo said to himself as he watches MinKyung and Yoseob’s interaction, “Her smile…is so genuine and beautiful. Yet it’s not for me… It hurts
