Chapter 14

[Kwon’s Sweets Palace]

            When MinKyung walked in, her family looked up and gasped. MinKyung’s mother said, “Omo, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!” HaeNi and EunHee greeted and bowed, “Annyonghaseyo ajumma, ajusshi, haraboji, halmoni, TaeJoon-ah, HyeKyung-ah.” Yoseob did the same thing. The other guys just bowed and said, “Annyonghaseyo.” Yoseob then bowed apologetically, “Mianhamnida, it’s my fault that MinKyung-ah is like that.” MinKyung said, “Anio. It wasn’t oppa’s fault.” Her family then ran up to MinKyung and observed the injuries. MinKyung’s grandmother asked worriedly, “What happened?” MinKyung replied with a smile, “It’s nothing. Kwaenchanayo. Yoseob oppa treated the wounds.” Yoseob looked away flustered. MinKyung’s grandparents and parents bowed. MinKyung’s mother said, “Kamsahamnida Yoseob-sshi.” Yoseob replied, “A-anio. Kwaenchanayo, ajumma. It was my fault to begin with.” TaeJoon then teased, “Noona, you look like a panda now.” MinKyung said, “Yah!” Everyone laughed. MinKyung frowned. MinKyung’s mother said with a frown, “Before you sleep I’m going to need to apply antibiotics on it.” MinKyung said, “Kwaenchana omma.” MinKyung’s grandfather said, “Your mother is right. Or else it will take a long time to heal. That’s not good.” MinKyung’s father added, “Thank god it’s not too severe or else I’m going to get a heart attack.”

            MinKyung then set up a table for everyone with TaeJoon and her mother. MinKyung then told her family to gather around for a bit for introductions. MinKyung introduced to the guys, “This is nae omma, appa, haraboji, halmoni, namdongsaeng, and yeodongsaeng.” Her family said, “Nice to meet you!” DuJun introduced himself, “Annyonghaseyo, Yoon DuJun-imnida!” KiKwang introduced, “Lee KiKwang-imnida.” JunHyung introduced, “Yong JunHyung-imnida.” DongWoon said with a smile, “Son DongWoon-imnida.” Lastly, HyunSeung said, “Jang HyunSeung-imnida.” After the introductions, MinKyung said to her family, “They’re Yoseob oppa’s best friends. They are also seniors.” HyeKyung then asked, “So that means they’re from rich families too?” MinKyung said, “Ne.” HyeKyung’s mouth formed an ‘O’ shape.  MinKyung’s mother said with a smile, “Welcome to our sweets shop.
