10 Things to avoid in kpop fanfiction!

See what I did there?..and A/N in the title, do you know what's even more disturbing? Authors notes in the middle of the fanfiction.

Problem: Authors notes

Example:
 

 - You ing don't ever come near me again!

L.joe shouted and punched Ricky ( A/N: ugh, I hate homophobic people) who started crying (A/N: poor ricky ;_;)


Why I should avoid this?

This very quick example is full of things I would like to comment on but will be leaved to the other chapters.

So, did you see those author's notes? talk about ruining the mode. Every time an author's note appears in the middle of a fanfiction it's like you're being pulled back to reality and away from the fanfiction. The readers understand that you're against what the character in your story is doing without you adding it in an authors note in the middle of the fanfic. And don't even get me going at the smiley faces thing.

How do I avoid this?

IF any authors note is necessary, add them all in ONE authors note at the end, so people can skip it if they're not interested. Also, long rants about your personal life belongs in your blog, not in the middle of the fanfiction.

A tip, use gmail or word when writing new chapters to be safe. I accidentally erased a brand new chapter.

I think u can say "crashed their lips together" sometimes its good to overdo a few things. It's kind of the same as "he throwed himseft out the door". They dont litteraly crash their lips together, it's just a way to describe that the really want each other or something like that.

But I think all of the other things you say here are true! Ughh i hate when people make Chunji call Ljoe "Oppa" >.<

Chapter 6: Oh my god... Right after I read this for the first time I immediately saw/noticed pretty much all of these problems on other fanfics... I was really tempted to link them all to this guide in a comment, but I though that would be rude so I didn't. Either way, your guide is really funny and helpful :)

It's ur old reader and I have two small questions to ask
1)When I write bout school, should I put alot of thought to it like: school's name( I'm thinkin' of HSM high, what do u think? or maybe I should search bout korean school's name and make up one that abit like others in real life X~X)
2)Do u know in korean 9th grade student is freshman~(that's what search on google but should follow it?)
