At dark castle (dark clan’s residence) :

“siwon hyung is just so crazy.. all of this wont happened if not for him keep pursuing the plan although we’ve decided to halt it for a moment!” sungmin furiously said, while donghae calmly sitting by his side, tending to sungmin’s half torn bicep shredded by the glass during the battle happening.

“yah lee donghae, did you even know about kyuhyun being the direct descendent? I mean.. for GodSake! He even inherited the death blow! Would he be announced as the leader after this?” sungmin asked while grabbing donghae’s hand to stop him half way while bandaging sungmin’s wound.

“more than that..” donghae push sungmin’s hand down and continue what he was doing just now, even clipping the bandage clip, sighing “I’m more worried about han mae ri.. its been 2 days since they got her away to only they know where..” he then get up from the seat, throwing his gaze far away to the dark forest visible by the large mirror wall of the dark castle.

“and so is siwon hyung.. I don’t even know what’s gonna happened to the dark clan now.. things just get out of its portion” sungmin lay back on the seat, closing his eyes, swallowing the lump in his throat.

“I don’t think siwon is ever going to come back.. I mean, he wouldn’t dare to, now that things even been proven to the committee..” donghae said, turning away to leave the hall

“han kyuhyun!” both sungmin and donghae rush to the latter seeing how he limp his step into the castle

“oh hyung..” kyuhyun answer lifelessly

“where have you been since these past 2 days?” sungmin throw questions and a lots more but kyuhyun didn’t even hear it for he’s having all sorts of thought going on.

“hyung..” donghae stop sungmin “go and rest first kyuhyun.. talk when you are ready..” donghae pats kyuhyun shoulder.

Kyuhyun gave a thankful nod to donghae and left to his room at the second floor.

“donghae ah!.. we have to at least find out where is mae ri!” sungmin protest

“slowly.. let’s wait for him to calm down first..” donghae said, looking to kyuhyun’s disappearing shadow when he ascend the stairs.

Reaching his room, he walk in and sit on his bed side, looking at the picture on his night stand, it’s a picture of mae ri pulling his ear and he’s just laughing to it.

“one more petals.. one more petals..” he said, holding the picture frame in his hand

“noona… what do I do? What would be the best for you?” he take a deep breath in, pain engulfing, over bearing in his heart, tears b at the corner of his eyes

“I’m sorry noona but I guess this time..” he breath out “ betraying you seems to be the best options if I wanna keep you by my side..” tears rolling down at his cheek.

At emerald’s:

“are you sure about this han mae ri?” sehun said while handing you a bottle of potion he’s made

You take the potion in your hand

“would there be any other better choices than this uncle?” you look to him, smiling but tears building up

“rather than doing this.. why don’t we tell yunho everything?” sehun pats your hair. He loves you as much as he loves his son. He knows there wouldn’t be another best for yunho, he wanted you to be his son’s sovereign.

“no uncle.. all the things that have happened.. is at the past.. what good would it bring if it were to be brought upon the light again? In the end.. it only going to hurt him and..” you wipe tears that been falling on your face “that would be the last thing I would want to happened.” You smile again

“maybe things are better off this way..”

“in the end, it is still all about him huh?” both of you startled to the voice at the door

“choi siwon!” sehun stand on his demeanor, being careful for any stunts if siwon ever going to pull one

“let’s end all of this siwon.. I don’t want to do this anymore.. I don’t want to hurt him anymore.. I don’t even have the strength to even pretend to do that anymore..” you said it all at once.

The fact is you are feeling so tired right now.. just so tired of everything.

Tired of pretending, tired of protecting, tired of caring, just so tired to even continue loving anyone right now.

“who told you about emerald? How could have you get in here?” sehun stand right in front of siwon’s face, facing his back to you, with hands signaling for you to get away from there in attempt to sneak you out.

“you think I’m stupid jung sehun? Don’t forget that I’m the dark clan leader!” siwon wave his hand and sehun falls on his back when a vase on his left hits him by siwon’s power command.

“uncle jung!” you shout, shocked, you try to get on your legs but you are just still so weak that you fall on your legs.

He smirked “let me remind you, my wrath would cost you a life” he said to sehun before proceeds to you

Your eyes bulging to siwon who stands in front of you

“you stupid reckless woman, you were hiding your brother all this while!” he pull your hair

“choi siwon! You’re crossing your boundaries!” sehun get on his feet and try to grab siwon’s hand which grabbing your hair but his hand unable to reach it as his hand burns

“argh!!!” sehun shrieked

“might I forget to tell you, I dive in the dark ocean just now.. which is fatal to the white clan..” he smirk

“you collected the black pearl..” you stuttered… unbelievable at the fact

“and may I tell you woman.. you’re dead..” he throw you to the wall and your head crash fast, sending you feeling dizzy as blood dripping out at your side.

You laugh though. “kill me if you can choi siwon..” you said sinisterly

He feels weird at your tone.

You smile bitterly, opening the potion cork, attempting to drink it when the bottle you were holding burst. All of you turn to hot vibe you were feeling travel fast beside you sending siwon on his knee at the back side of the door.

“jung yunho..” you don’t want to believe your eyes but it is indeed yunho, with his hand burning while grasping siwon’s neck

“no.. no.. yunho no..” you try to get to him but you only manage to crawl before throwing a blow to him and  collapsing.

“han mae ri..” yunho finally release siwon from his grip as the blow thrown him and siwon away from each other and travel as his fast as he can to you, holding you in his arm.

“your hands..” is all that you managed to stutter as you turn to his bleeding hand which seems to be melting right now.

Sehun run to both of you and take siwon hands before he heals it by the white beam light appearing from his palm.

You choke on your breath as you feel the pain on your chest over-bearing.

“what.. what happened to her?” yunho panicked

“what did you do to my noona you bastard?” all of them throw their sight to kyuhyun who throw a blow sending siwon overturn on air.

“uncle jung! He gave her heart a blow by the black pearl!” kyuhyun said as he rush to your side

“looks like I would really be dead now..” you said, smiling

Yunho face stricken with fear, he pulls the neck of your shirt down roughly, shocking kyuhyun who try to protest

What he see, made his heart thaw.

“one petals..” he said

“appa.. any way to save her? Please! I would even switch my life with hers!” yunho grab sehun’s collar

“no!” you said sternly, and cough out blood

“noona!” kyuhyun shout

“this time around.. we won’t listen to you..” yunho last word is all that you heard before your sight blurs and disappear.

At white clan residence::

“what do you mean yunho follows kyuhyun out?” jaejoong pissed off at what did he heard from Jina

“hyung.. you shouldn’t raise your voice to Jina noona like that! It’s not like it is her fault that yunho follow kyuhyun out.” Yoochun interfere

“I don’t get it oppa.. what exactly happening here?” Ha neul asked, puzzled with everything that she heard since she arrived in the house this morning.

“ha neul.. the dark forest is not safe. Go and stay at our villa at the town and don’t come down here until I give you notice!” jaejoong gave order

“what?!” Ha neul rage up by her brother’s tone

“Junsu, you ha neul and protect her. Be her guardian for a while. I’ll trust you..” Jaejoong said, pat Junsu’s shoulder.

“you know what? You all are just being ridiculous right now! Why should I go out and live there alone when my family is here in danger?!” Ha neul throw her car key which she’s been holding on from the moment she reached when she heard from Jina that Jaejoong is injured

“Because you are nothing like us!” Jaejoong shout, making everyone shocked

Ha neul’s wear a deeply hurt expression

“oh I see..” she said painfully

“Jae..” Jina said sternly before go to ha neul and trying to comfort the latter

“its ok unni.. I’m fine.. I know I am nothing like them.. I’m just a human being and I am just powerless.. not like them..” ha neul said painfully before grabbing her car key and rush out of the house, speeding away in a second

Jaejoong close his eyes for a moment

“hyung.. this is very wrong..” yoochun said while leaning against the door frame, judging look on his face, judging jaejoong

“hyung, if you are not ha neul’s brother, I would have snap your throat into two..” Junsu said before he teleport to ha neul’s place

“get yunho home yoochun..” jaejoong last word before he teleport away from the house.

Jina sigh deeply and follow Jaejoong

Jina switch to her butterfly form and stay on Jaejoong’s shoulder for a while when she feel Jaejoong is seething in anger.

“you’re okay now?” Jina said as she switch to her human form, sitting beside Jaejoong on the tree trunk which is a tallest canopy at the dark forest.

“I-I didn’t mean to say that to ha neul..”

“I know..” Jina traced her hand up and down on Jae’s arm, soothing him

“it doesn’t even cross my mind that there would be a day which I would say that to her.. I didn’t mean it that way.. I just want to keep her safe..” Jina hold Jaejoong arm and just let it be when Jaejoong clasped her hand

“she’s the one who I want to put out of danger the most.. it is just too dangerous for her here. With yunho still being unstable and going back and forth like this, with everything that happened during committee meeting, the fact that even the dark clan is upside down right now.. nothing is ensure to be safe in the dark forest right now Jina.. I even have the thought to send you away for a while..” he finish his line, looking into Jina eyes

“I understand you Jae.. you just want everyone to be safe.. you just want to do something to keep everything in control.. but Jae.. don’t blame yourself on anything that happened.. things can’t always be in control.” Jina gave him a squeeze through her hold on his hand, ensuring him that things will be fine.

“I’m sure Junsu will help her to understand and.. ha neul will.. trust me..” Jina smile

Jaejoong smile bitterly “thank you Jina..”

“but the part where you even thought of sending me away doesn’t rest well with me Jae.. we did this knowing that even worse could come out but we promised that we’ll stay together throughout everything so don’t you let that kind of thought cross over your mind again okay? I would forgive you this once.. but not the other..” Jina said with a firm voice at the end..

“and about Yunho.. let him be.. he will come around I believe.. let he settle his feeling first.. don’t worry too much about him.. he is a grown up man, with power almost like you or could be more than you so.. don’t worry much.. he might have not remember how to use all his power but his body have not forget.. ok?” Jina reassures Jae.

Jaejoong smile, holding Jina’s cheek on her left, caressing her cheek

“what do I do to deserve you?” Jae said, eyes lost in his stare in Jina’s eyes.

“well.. you love me..” Jina caress Jae’s right cheek, smiling.

“thank you..” Jaejoong sincerely said, leaning and capture Jina in a tender kiss

“I love you Jina..”

“I love you too Jae..” Jina smile
