The once dark sky receded as a peachy pink colour bloomed showcasing the rising of the sun and with it the early dawn. Birds chirped happily in the distance, nature unaware of the war or the troubles of the people sleeping soundly. Everyone had laid their troubles aside in preference for the comfort of sleeping, everyone that is aside from the young Dragon Emperor of the West who sat by the Koi Gardens thinking.   He sat absentmindedly, staring off into the distance, replying the scenes of last night. He sighed again trying to comprehend the bizarre events of last night. He gazed at the ring on his left hand; the symbol of a silver dragon*, it had been passed down through generations to the next Dragon Emperor of the West.     A soft humming shook him out of his thoughts and he turned slightly to see the source of the welcome disturbance; the slave who had been plaguing his mind bumbled unaware carrying a bowl of fish food. A serene smile pushing his plump cheeks making him look more adorable than he already was. Still unaware of the Dragon Lord sitting just a few feet away Xiumin walked over to the Koi pond ad started cooing.   Yi Fan raised an eyebrow, a smile threatening to break out, it was normal for people to coo at cute beings such as dogs or cats or even horses but large Koi fish? That was a first. He watched amused as the slave started sprinkling the fish food into the pond, giggling as the fish gathered around the food. Placing the food by his side, he began to sing softly as if to soothe the feeding fish, his voice soft and gentle and yet so beautiful.   Stopping the singing he continued to hum the beautiful melody. Taking the food bowl back into his hands he turned around to leave before falling back in shock as he finally noticed the young Dragon Lord in front of him who looked at him amused.   ‘M-My L-Lord! I am terribly sorry for disturbing! I did not notice you!’ Xiumin stuttered out hurriedly bowing in front of the Emperor.   ‘It’s fine, there is nothing to apologise. Straighten up Xiumin.’ The man ordered. Xiumin straightened as told before bowing several times as an apology.   ‘You may be excused. You might want to let the Prince know that he needs to control himself and his emotions. We cannot win this war if he endangers his own troops.’   Xiumin’s eyes widened as he came to understand that Emperor had seen the ordeal from last night. Bowing his head again he all but stumbled his way out of the gardens leaving the young Dragon Lord thinking again. He realised that something strange was going on and he was determined to find out especially if it was going to affect their progress during the war.   Meanwhile Xiumin felt as though his internal organs were swapped around in the wrong places because he could somehow feel his stomach up
