“Sing a song for me, Kyungsoo. Please?” Jongin pleaded. “Just one?”

“Oh, fine,” Kyungsoo sighed. He started to sing a slow lullaby as he absentmindedly brushed his fingers through Jongin’s hair. Jongin reached up to touch the silky smooth, milk-white skin on Kyungsoo’s cheek. Kyungsoo stopped singing, and Jongin didn’t protest. He looked up from his resting place in Kyungsoo’s lap, his gaze met with Kyungsoo’s trademark wide-eyed stare.

“Kyungsoo,” Jongin breathed, and Kyungsoo’s eyes fluttered closed as Jongin’s fingers grazed his jawline. Jongin moved his fingers and ran them over Kyungsoo’s soft, pink lips, which Kyungsoo parted slightly as Jongin took Kyungsoo’s chin in his hand. Kyungsoo opened his eyes and looked at Jongin again, whose gaze was fixed on Kyungsoo’s face.

They both stayed silent as Jongin’s hand crept to the back of Kyungsoo’s neck, pulling him down towards his face. Their lips came together slowly at first, both of them savoring the distinct feel of the other’s lips. Kyungsoo parted his lips as Jongin’s tongue pressed against them, and Jongin pushed himself up to deepen their kiss as their pace increased.

Kyungsoo could still taste the peppermint on Jongin’s tongue as he wrapped his arms around Jongin’s torso, pulling him closer. Jongin responded by taking Kyungsoo’s head in both of his hands, his fingers in Kyungsoo’s hair. Their mouths meshed together perfectly at such close proximity.

Finally they pulled away, slowly, as Jongin looked into Kyungsoo’s round eyes. They were both breathing deeply and steadily but not desperately, and Jongin gave Kyungsoo a tiny smile. Kyungsoo returned the gesture as Jongin took him in his arms and held him close.

They both could have said something to the other, but neither of them did. They could hear each other’s heartbeats in the silence, and those sounds held more meaning than any number of words could ever hope to.
