“I can help the next person in line~” You call, waving your hand. Your eyes meet with someone you weren’t expecting.

“Hello. Two chocolate chunk cookies-“

“-and a white milk with a straw.” You flash him a grin as you ring in his order. He looks a little stunned before he nods his head. You laugh while leaving to grab his order.

When you come back with his order, he’s gone.

“What the heck…” You look around the store, wondering if he just took a seat. But you see the back of his figure walking out of the store. You frown, but you spot a napkin with scribbles on it. You pick it up and try to make out what’s written.

Sorry, no money. Something to make up for it.

Now you’re stunned. You smile to yourself, tucking the napkin into your apron before serving the next customer.
