I went outside the SM Building. It just felt like everything was smiling at me, even the little fluffy clouds.

I was so happy; I only wanted to jump around like group of children next to me. I couldn’t believe that
I’m going to join the new SM girl group as a member of them. “But it’s the truth;” a little voice
whispered inside me “it’s going to happen… it’s REALITY!”

While I came closer to my parents’ house, I became more and more nervous.
“Mum! Dad! Where are you?” I just shouted whileclosing the door and running upstairs to our small kitchen.
“We are here-““Mum, Dad I’m accepted!”

“Honey what do you mean?” my mum asked.  

“I am going to be a member. A member of the new SM girl group!” I jigged around the table,
paying attention not to hit on one of the chairs.

“Calm down; breath Dami.” my dad said slowly “We are very proud of you.”

My mum neared to me “Just let me hug you”. After hugging me my mum suddenly turned around
“We have to call your aunt and uncle, Dami. They have to hear the news.”
Taking the telephone my mum left the room and dad began to read the newspaper.

A few days later in the morning my mum deposited a little piece of paper for me on the table.

Here is a letter for you. It’s addressed on your name.

Under the note was a letter from SM Entertainment. With my name on it.
Should I open it? Maybe they just want to tell me that I’m too bad? That they made a mistake and I couldn’t join the group?

Open it. Just open it.

Dear Kim Dami,

You already know; you are going to become a member of the new SM girl group;
that's why you will live together with the other girls in your new dorm. Here is the address:

Gangnam

Flaxton St 40

Floor 32, No. 329

You are going to move to the new dorm on next week’s Friday.
If you live far away from the dorm please call us so we can pick you up.

Okay, I thought to myself, take a long breath; but at this moment were just too many thoughts in my head.

Preparing a list for things I have to take with me, packing my bag,…

Then I realized that a new period of time will start from now on. A whole untouched and inexperienced lifestyle for me.
