“What is this, some kind of drama?” Rubbing her temples and attempting to concentrate on her work, Miya just couldn’t believe the events that had taken place last night.

A mysterious good looking guy had suddenly appeared just outside her house one night, unconscious, and she had taken him in after much turmoil and thought. Once he woke up, he acted rather cold towards her and stormed out soon after, leaving behind no trace or evidence.

Thinking about it now, it was hard to believe it had all happened in a span of six hours ago!

But… it wasn’t a dream though… right? The working student let out a sigh as she continued to clean her work station and organize the products in front of her.

Miya couldn’t help but slightly scoff as she started to think of possible scenes that one would find in a drama.

The events of last night seemed pretty drama worthy.

If this handsome guy had suddenly appeared into her life by some unlikely scenario and left afterwards, he would surely appear again because fate willed it to happen.

Laughing at her silliness, Miya shook her head and smiled.

What are the chances of that happening though?

“Do you have any reservations?”

“Um… no,”
 

“Would you like to book a room?”

“Yes,”

“May I see your license?” Kai immediately froze on the spot as the question was asked.

The desperate teenager had never really considered too much about running away other than grabbing some money to buy all his essentials later. He had forgotten the strict rules of society and wasn’t too prepared for what was to come.

“… Would it be alright to just book the room and pay?” At Kai’s question, the service man quirked an eyebrow, narrowing his eyes at the troublesome young man. “I’m sorry, sir, but I will need to take down information if you plan on staying at Hotel Sunbee,”

“Oh I see, thank you,” Giving a rather awkward final nod, Kai left the sign-in desk and exited the building, slapping a hand to his face and shaking his head.

This was not something he was used to.

Damn, I should have planned this out more… Though the action had been done during a “in the heat” kind of moment, the distressed boy couldn’t help but curse at himself for his lack of thought. He took a seat at a near-by bench and bent forward to observe the scene in front of him, hoping to calm his nerves and get some ideas.

With only the clothes on his back and handfuls of ₩ 50000 bills in his pocket, Kai figured that the items in hand were all that he needed since, in this world, everything seemed to be about money. He would be able to buy clothes, a new phone, and food with the money and he would leave behind anything that could possibly aid in his family tracing him.

He thought he had everything all planned out… but Kai had forgotten that, when booking a room or renting a place, information was to be taken and the escapee couldn’t afford revealing his true identity.

If he did, he would surely be caught.

After going through his thought process, Kai could only smack himself once more.

Why the hell was running away so hard?
 

....

Oh.

That’s right.

He was an heir to one of South Korea’s most prominent hotel chains.

As the statement came to mind, Kai was faced with yet another dilemma: His family would surely be reporting his disappearance and this meant that he could easily be discovered strolling casually out in public with his face being identified.

Damn it…  I can’t be out here like this.

He took a dash to the nearest convenience store he could find.

“Miya, your break time will be in about fifteen minutes!”
 

“Yes, boss!” Carefully, Miya stacked a brand new shipment of glass soda bottles onto one of the store’s metal shelves as she responded to her manager. Finishing up her work, she gave an approving nod and proceeded to pick up the box full of almost expired sodas to carry them back.

The store is fairly quiet today… well I needed to do some inventory, anyways!

Kai was unsure what to think of the situation.

He had, once again, bumped into the same girl that had taken him in last night.

The wary girl who could very well be a spy for all he knew.

“Sir?” Being pulled out of his trance, the troubled teenager looked over to see a friendly old looking man, who, he assumed, was the manager of the store. “Oh, sorry, I’m just a bit tired and need a drink, that’s all,”

“Well, we have lots of drinks you can choose from. Take your pick and have a seat!” The boss motioned over to an aisle which refrigerators were was filled with varieties of colorful bottles and then to a few seats which sat near the cash register of the convenience store.

Nodding his head, Kai followed the route which Mr. Jung had laid out for him and grabbed a sports drink. He then proceeded to walk over to the cash register and took out one of his ₩ 50000, scratching the back of his head as he knew that it was a rather large bill to use and split.

He sat down on of the padded chairs and twisted the cap of the bottle, taking large gulps of the cool beverage.

After downing about half of the contents of the bottle, Kai wiped his mouth of any liquid that may have dripped from the lid and began to think of his position once more. He had been shortly reminded again of the girl who he had coincidentally bumped into once again, but momentarily forgot about her.

Kai knew that if he started to think of all his options again, it would prove to be useless and there would just be a repeat of disappointment.

He really had no options left and there was nowhere to go.

… What am I supposed to do?

“You seem troubled there,” At the sound of a familiar voice, Kai raised his bowed head to see the manager in all his glory. Mr. Jung took a seat himself next to the teenager and looked to Kai in a slightly concerned manner.

“… Just a bit,”

“What seems to be the problem?” The younger blinked as he debated on whether or not to tell the wise boss some of his troubles, but ended up dropping some hints as to help relieve some of his stress. “I… don’t have anywhere to go,”

“A young man like yourself? That’s unfortunate. Are you a student?”

“…” A pause. “Yeah,”

“Hmm…” Mr. Jung was scanning the area for something… or someone which left Kai a bit puzzled and wondering about the particular thing or person until…

“Miya! Come here!”

Crash.

“A-Ah… yes!” Shaking his head, the manager turned towards Kai whom was sitting on his right side. “I know she was a bit rude just a while ago, but Miya’s a really nice girl and she’s a student as well. I think you should talk to her, seeing as though you two are probably in similar situations and she can help you out,”

As if on cue, Miya had paced her way to the two men talking and bowed slightly with her hands neatly folded together. “Yes, boss?”

“This fellow here has some problems with finding a place. He’s a student, so I’m sure you can help him find a place,”

… That cannot be the case…

“S-Sure thing,”

“I’ll leave you two youngsters to talk. It’s your break anyways, Miya!” With that, Mr. Jung left the two teenagers in a familiar awkward silence once again as Miya cringed, knowing the discomfort that was to come.

“Would you… like to take a walk?”

Kai narrowed his eyes as Miya was once again brought to his attention.

He just couldn’t concentrate on his problem anymore and it seemed that this one girl was going to be popping up in his life a lot more.

It had already happened twice for God’s sake!

It was getting just a bit annoying, considering the runaway really couldn’t afford any more distractions or problems in his life.

“Would you… like to take a walk?” The response was an immediate “No,”

The rather aloof teenager saw the girl flinch at the directness of his answer and she fidgeted a little on the spot. “Um…”

“…”

In all honesty, neither of the two knew how to reconcile after what had happened between them so far. It was all a delicate and unique situation that probably no one would ever encounter.

Well, except for Kai and Miya, that is.

…

A sigh.

Miya finally decided to address the situation at hand.

“Um… I’m really sorry and I know it was a bit awkward with last night and this morning… but I was honestly just trying to help and if I offended you in any way… I’m really, really sorry. I’ll pretend as if this never happened,”

After hearing her plea, well, it seemed that this small girl was normal enough…
 

She seemed way too apologetic and naïve to be a spy and Kai believed this due to the sincerity in her voice and the shine in her eyes.

There was a short silence once again.

“I’m… not sure what your situation is and all, but… is there any way I can help you?”

Help?

… Wait…

It was at that moment, Kai thought of the perfect solution to his problem.

“... Could I stay at your place?”

“Huh!?”

I hope you enjoyed the chapter~ This chapter was honestly a bit choppy, I know, and... well, it didn't have nearly as much description or detail as the previous chapter. So, excuse me for that, but I wasn't too sure of any other way to write this chapter? Forgive me~ *bows* Of course, I am still looking for a beta-reader if anyone would like to be mine!

I would like to let you guys know that I will probably not be able to update another chapter until... well after May. May is going to be a busy month for me since I am graduating this year!
