It's him. The guy with the beautiful voice.

What was he thinking? He had an hour live show to run and what is he doing right now? I can't help but panicked.

I'm doomed. Boss is gonna fire me for sure. He's doomed too. He ruined tonight's show.

We're doomed.

He held my hands tightly as we ran. Although he was a stranger whom I don't even know his name, and I had no idea what just happened a minute ago, I felt safe with him. We worked our way through the crowd at Hongdae. I constantly looked back to see the man was still after us. After a while, the man gave up but we didn't stop.

I can't breathe. After running for what seemed like 10 minutes, he suddenly pulled me into the alley and gently pulled me behind him as he checked if the coast was clear.

Then our eyes met. He looked at me apologetically and somewhat confused too. He had the eyes of a puppy.

"I.. I didn't like the way he treated you. I mean I despise him for treating girls like that. He was such a bully..." he started.

Not quite the sporty type, that distance we ran could have easily knocked me out right now. But it's funny how we both seem so confused at what just happened. "Thank you,' I laughed.

He seemed a little more relaxed after hearing my laughter. "Sorry I pulled you out of a sudden earlier. I... I ..." he apologised.

"Don't worry about it. Glad we're both safe for now," I said. At that moment, I totally forgot about how screwed we were.

"I'm Jonghyun. Kim Jonghyun," he said as he reached out his hand.

"Jessica. Jessica Jung," I said as I shook his hand. His hands were warm and gave me a sense of security.

Just then, I recalled that we hve a problem to solve. "Oh my god! What are we going to do now? We've caused so much trouble," I panicked.

"We'll go back a little later. When your boss cools down and all," he said. "Wait here," he went off and disappeared in the crowd.

I squatted down and hugged my legs as I imagined what was gonna happen later. To both of us.

About 15 minutes later, a pair of feet appeared before me. I looked up and saw Jonghyun, offering me a piece of hottok. "Here," he offered as he cooly took a bite in his share.

"Thanks," I accepted it though I didn't have the appetite. I slowly nibbled the hottok and unknowingly, I ate the entire thing. It tasted heavenly.

It was almost 10. Fortunately, I had my phone with me and Hyoyeon sent me a text: Come back now. So we slowly made our way back to the cafe together, chatting a little but most of the time we just walked silently.

When we were back, the cafe was already closed. Boss and the rest, including Jinki, were waiting for us.
