Prompt 6: Petty

Pairing: Luna/Onew

Luna wakes up bright and early on a particularly beautiful spring morning in May, and decides she should go for a bike ride around the neighborhood. She hasn't exercised in a while, and finds herself missing the rush of whizzing by trees and houses and the sounds of the birds chirping sweet melodies. Luna throws her blonde hair up into a high ponytail and steals her mom's bike--Mom is still asleep, and she wouldn't mind, much.

As she pedals faster and faster, she realizes that there is someone who is following behind her, trying their hardest to catch up to her. She slows, as the stranger finally catches up to her.

“Hello! I noticed you riding your bike and thought you would enjoy some company; nice weather, huh?”

Luna is unable to suppress the smile evident on her face as she replies, “Yes, it’s very pretty today.”

"My name's Jinki, but my friends call me Onew! You can call me Onew if you'd like!" the boy beams happily, sticking a hand out to her.

He loses his handling on the bike and swerves, almost crashing into a nearby shrub; Luna stifles her giggle. "Whoops! I guess I'm a bit of a klutz."

"I'm Luna," she introduces herself with a slight nod of her head.

"Are you from around here?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"No," Onew shakes his head. "I just moved here."

"Oh, I see."

"You seem like a nice person; wanna be friends?" Onew suggests.

Luna purses her lips in thought. "But didn't we just meet?"

"Don't you think it'd be cool if we could just bond over the petty things, like the weather, and bike-riding?"

"You're a weird person, Onew."

"That's what everyone says. Friends?" he grins goofily.

"...Friends."
