Goodbye Kim Ryeowook
Sing Me A Song
It’s been a whole week since Ryeowook had seen, or talked to Jongwoon.
He never came to school.
Ryeowook had called him over 200 times within the 7 days, but every single call went directly to the voice message.
He finally texted the elder to meet him at the park in 10 minutes, but he got no reply.
He called him for the 20thtime that day, but it said the number was no longer available.
Did Jongwoon really hate Ryeowook that much?
Ryeowook wiped hastily at his tear stained cheeks before picking himself up off the bed, and grabbed his phone and keys.
He didn’t care that the boy wouldn’t come.
But he hoped he would.
Ryeowook was so numb from the internal pain; he didn’t feel the cold, crisp winter air and snow that wrapped around him like icy fingers as he walked outside in the cold only in black skinnies, sneakers, and a thin, red, turtle-neck sweater.
He dusted the white snow off a park bench before sitting down softly, and waited patiently.
Not a single soul was out and about in the cold, except for little Ryeowook.
The boy sat there, waiting for his lover.
10 minutes passed.
30 minutes passed.
1 hour passed.
2 hours passed.
But Ryeowook still sat there on the bench, waiting.
Ryeowook curled up tightly and buried his face against his knees, crying silently to himself as the time reached the third hour; knowing that his lover probably won’t come.
Suddenly, Ryeowook felt something warm drape across his shoulder and wrap around him snuggly.
Ryeowook’s head snapped up when a familiar scent reached his nose, to see a familiar black pea coat draped across his small frame.
He looked up with wide eyes, to see Jongwoon standing in front of him, expressionless.
“Jongwoon.” Ryeowook breathed, standing up immediately and wrapped his arms tightly around his lover’s warm body.
Jongwoon just stood there stiffly in the boy’s arms, making no move to hug Ryeowook back.
“I told you to never walk away from me again!” RyeoWook cried against his lover’s chest.
Jongwoon still said nothing, staring down at the boy blankly.
“You’re mine! Forever mine!” the boy sobbed out loudly, digging his fingers into the elder’s back as he held him closer.
Ryeowook clung on tighter to his lover when he didn’t react at all.
“I know you still love me. You won’t just leave me. I know you won’t.” RyeoWook whispered.
Though he actually didn’t know.
He didn’t know how much Jongwoon actually loves him now.
He didn’t know how much longer he’ll stay with little Ryeowook.
He didn’t know, if there love was strong enough to hold them together anymore.
He was only just telling that to himself, to reassure himself.
Ryeowook’s heart fluttered when Jongwoon reached up, and wrapped his arms around the boy, pulling him tightly against his chest.
Is Jongwoon staying with him?
Does he still love the young boy?
Ryeowook felt the elder’s warm breath tickle his neck lightly, before feeling the soft lips he loved, brush against his ear softly.
“Goodbye, Kim Ryeowook.”
Ryeowook’s blood ran cold, and he stood frozen to the spot as Jongwoon pulled back away.
“No, Jongwoon, please, no! This can’t be! You love me. YOU LOVE ME!” the younger screamed, slipping and stumbling through the snow after his lover, but Jongwoon’s dark silhouette blurred within the large snowflakes that fell from the sky, and disappeared into the night.
And that was the last he saw, of Kim Jongwoon.
