Dagger
Sing Me A SongRyeowook was sitting on the red, velvet couch of the ‘Tuxes’ shared mansion, crying his eyes out.
“No he won’t! the doctor’s said that even though he survived this time, he won’t live the second!” RyeoWook cried, pulling his legs close to his chest and buried his face into his hands, rocking back and forth.
“He’ll wake up soon, don’t worry. I’m sure he misses seeing you.” Sungmin sighed, taking a seat next to Ryeowook.
“Well when’s soon!?” RyeoWook yelled.
The room fell silent, except for the constant sniffle or hiccup from Ryeowook.
No one had an answer for the younger, for they don’t know either.
“I want him to wake now!” the younger whined.
“Control yourself, Kim Ryeowook!” A voice snapped.
Everyone turned to see their leader descending the spiral staircase, staring down sternly at the crying boy.
“Heechul hyung.” They all said formally except for Ryeowook.
“You are here to learn to fight so you could take revenge. Dwelling in self pity will not get you anywhere.” Heechul said, walking up to the sniffling younger.
“But I don’t want to hurt anyone! I just want Jongwoon to wake up!” RyeoWook cried, looking up at the elder.
“He won’t wake!” Heechul snapped suddenly, causing everyone to turn to look at him in surprise.
“Not until you’ve taken revenge! Look at your lover! He was so handsome and happy, until those people came around! Make those people regret they’ve laid even a finger on your black butterfly!”
Ryeowook glared down at the ground, curling up tighter.
Kim Heechul was right.
Jongwoon didn’t deserve all of this.
He was innocent.
“If you love him, do something for him.” Heechul continued, before pulling something out from his coat pocket.
“Take revenge with this. It will bring justice to you. It is yours to keep and learn to use.”
Ryeowook looked up from the black wooden floorboards, and to the item in the elder’s hands.
Resting lightly on the feline’s hands, was a shining dagger that was only 9 inches long, easy to conceal. The blade was made of fine stainless silver, the words ‘Tuxes’ engraved on it in messy, but fancy cursive.
The hilt was made of sturdy, black wood, curved perfectly so it was comfortable in one’s hands for fighting.
Ryeowook slowly reached up, and ran his fingers down the flat of the cold blade.
Jongwoon would never want Ryeowook to kill or to hurt anyone.
He would be extremely disappointed and horrified at the younger.
But Ryeowook doesn’t care.
Whoever did any harm to RyeoWook’s property, he will kill.
“Look, Jongwoon. It’s my dagger now. Heechul hyung gave it to me. Isn’t it pretty?” Ryeowook whispered softly, holding the weapon out in front of him so that the sunlight streaming in through the hospital window hit it directly from where he sat next to Jongwoon.
Ryeowook came to visit the elder every other day now.
The other days that he didn’t spend at the hospital, he was busy learning how to fight with ZhouMi or Heechul.
It had been a whole 2 months since Jongwoon has been in a deep coma, and Ryeowook was feeling lonelier and lonelier by each day.
“You remember when we first became friends on the roof, and you sang to me? I miss your voice.” Ryeowook sniffled, setting the weapon down and gently rested his cheek onto the sleeping boy’s chest, listening to the dull thud of his lover’s heart.
“Sing me a song, JongWoon. Sing me a song.” He cried, burying his face against the elder’s chest, but of course, he got no response but the ‘beep’ of the heart monitor.
The younger sighed and reached up to touch Jongwoon’s cheek lightly, admiring the beauty that is all his.
The elder’s skin was flawless and milky white, extremely soft at the touch.
His dark hair draped lightly down upon the boys beautiful eyes, his dark, long lashes casting a crescent shadow on his cheeks.
“Yesung…..” Ryeowook whispered softly, giving the elder a nickname that fit him well, but the quiet moment was interrupted by a loud ringing.
The younger jumped in surprise, and pulled his hand back to answer his phone.
“Yoboseyo?”
“Wook! You’re late for practice!” Sungmin scolded on the other line.
“Practice? I had practice today?” Ryeowook asked, furrowing his brows together in confusion.
“Yes! Don’t you remember?! You requested for extra lessons! Slacker…….”
“Oh! Oh yeah……sorry! I’m coming.”
“You better! You’re a whole hour late!”
“aish! Okay! Bye!”
Ryeowook flipped his phone shut and got up quickly, grabbing his backpack.
He leaned down and pecked the elder’s lips softly.
“Bye Jongwoon. I’ll come visit you Saturday. “RyeoWook sighed, before quickly turning and left the room.
Sadly, he did not see the small movement of Jongwoon’s finger just as he left.
