“So this is your idea of a date huh?”

“Uh huh…why? Don’t you like it?”

“Of course I like it, I would not have liked the idea of going to posh restaurants at all.”

“So, eating pizza take out at the beach is not a bad idea after all huh?”

“No, not a bad idea at all, in fact it is a very good idea…” I said, munching on my pizza slice.

“Isn’t it freaky  how we can’t see the water and it feels like we are sitting in front of absolutely nothing?” he asked, as we looked ahead at the dark waters.

“Hmm…”

“Can I ask you something…if you don’t mind, it’s personal.”

“Yeah…go ahead, what do you want to ask?” I asked, wondering where he was leading the topic to.

“Have you ever cared about anyone else…other than Sunny?”

I knew exactly where he was getting the topic to. I put my pizza slice down and hugged my knees.

“Uh huh…before running away, there was this guy. I really thought he cared about me just like I cared about him, I probably even loved him.” I chuckled, hugging my knees tighter.

“…and then?”

“Then…the usual, I caught him with another girl at his place.”

“oh…”

“…”

“OH!”

“Hmm…never saw his face after that.”

“That !”

“Pretty much yeah. What about you?”

He took a deep breathe and smiled a bittersweet smile as though he was reliving his old memories.

“It was about two years ago, maybe, the first time I saw her I knew it was love, and I knew I just had to have her. I fought for her, till at last we were in a beautiful relationship together. She moved into my house with me, we would go jogging together early in the morning, eat together, watch movies together, it was perfect.”

“So…what happened?”

“WHAT HAPPENED? The went and got herself pregnant “

“NO WAY!”

“Yeah…she gave birth to five babies.”

“FIVE?!”

“Yeah….too bad I had to sell them.”

“SELL THEM?”

“Yeah…the puppies were so cute though,”

“PUPPIES.”

“Yes, Roxy gave birth to puppies.”

“ROXY??”

“Yes, Roxy, my dog. Would you please stop screaming, my ears are hurting and its annoying.”

I  looked at him with sheer disbelief before I burst out laughing.

“What? Did I say something funny?”

I continued to laugh till my sides hurt and tears rolled down my eyes.

“WHAT?” he protested.

“Whew…” I sighed, wiping my tears. “A dog?”

“Yeah…what’s wrong with that?”

“Nothing….nothing at all.” I replied, smiling at him.

We remained for a while watching the sea, till I saw the time, it was five to ten. I silently yawned and shivered. It was getting windier by the minute, to stop myself from shivering I hugged my knees tighter.

I rested my head on my knees, closed my eyes and slowly started breathing in the salty flavor of the sea, when I felt something warm around my shoulders. I cracked open an eye and saw Yoochun’s coat over me.

“You didn’t have to-“

“You were shivering.”

“I think its time we get back.”

“Hmm…” he nodded his head.

I got up and started dusting sand off me, when I realized that he was staring at me.

“What happened? Is everything ok?”

“Yeah…everything is ok. Let’s go.” Something about his voice was very stone like and cold.

Throughout the whole limo ride, we sat in silence, not the usual silence we sat previously in. This was a very cold and awkward silence.

As we reached my place, I turned to him to wish me good night.

“Alright…thank you for the day Yoochun. I really had a great time, good night.”

He briskly nodded; “Good night.”

I was a bit taken aback by how cold he had turned, I frowned and got off the car.

As I shut door, the car drove off. Watching the car disappear in the night, for some reason I felt like he had to tell me something, something made me feel empty, really empty. Something didn’t feel right.

This was when I realized, I still had Yoochun’s coat around my shoulders and Micky was still in his car.
