Jongin’s POV

(LOOK AT YOU< JOENG DONG HA)

I was in the midst of nowhere, lying on my bed, sleep doesn’t bother to call me. The President (Grandfather) called me about the scandal I was involve to, it was about the dating issue between me and Jihyun. He was furious and angry, he even threatened me to go back to Europe… For all of my life, my grandfather always give me a tough love…Suho hyung was an orphan, they said Suho hyung’s parent died because of a car accident when he was still 7,while me, I grew without meeting any father, Mom said he left us when she was still pregnant.

  I felt envy towards Suho hyung because he was treated like he was only the grandson of the household. Whenever he has theatre play or any related contest, he was there, all smile…. It was a relief that grandma Kim always patch up the love and support I need.

I grew alarm when the door creaked open, a few steps was heard, I felt a  weight on the bed, I didn’t move as silence dominated.

“Kim jongin……

       You’re selfish, do you that?”,

That voice……  it’s Minjung…..the girl I used to like,  the friend I used to laugh and cry with ,and  the woman I used to love….. I didn’t know how we became like this, but we treated each other like a stranger now, Everything we had were wrecked and neglected when I opted to give up.

FLASHBACK

A 18 year old Kim Jongin were sitting in a large couch, he was called by his grandfather disregarding that he has a class to attend, He wander his eyes around the spacious office of the President, he grew determined that someday he can work here. The double door opened, his grandfather and Secretary Min entered the room, the sound of the cane as it hits the floor made him double nervous, He made a bow as a sign of respect but he was ignored.

“Young Master, please take a sit…”, the secretary gestured

Jongin walk up on the chair near the office table, his grandfather were sitting in his chair with it’s back facing him.

“how’s your studies?”, a deep voice shocks Jongin,

“I can handle it well haraboeji….”, he answered with his head down, the chair turned,

“Is that so? If I tell you right now that I will be sending you to Spain, would you agree?”,

“Deh?”,

“In Spain, you can do anything you want, you can study and enter university whatever you like. You can get your MBA in EL Madrid University like me… And of course you can visit specialist for your mother’s illness.. it wont be a problem….”,

“Haraboeji…”,

Secretary Min hand over a brown envelope, “Young Master, that envelope contains all your passports and tickets, the house and car keys, your entrance application is already filled up, everything is settled. Classes starts 2 weeks from now”,

“I am not asking for any of your opinion, I am commanding you to go…. Jongin…”,

“But how about the school, the year will end already, I just need to take the final exam..”,

“I can fix that up… I can talk to President Park about it.”,

Jongin kept quiet, his phone beep, it was a a text message from Minjung,
“And one more thing Jongin….”,

Jongin look up, “ I want you to break up with Minjung before you go….”,

His eyes went wide as soon as he heard it, “Wae? Why is it Minjung has to be involve?”,

‘simply, Suho likes Minjung… I already tackled it with Madam Park about the arrange marriage… Suho will come back home a week from now and I want you to go as soon as possible…”,

Jongin’s knuckles turns to white, his hands were trembling in hatred,

He stood up infront, “Why is it always me to sacrifice???!! It was all favoured to Suho hyung, then how about me? Did I not deserve a so called happiness too haraboeji??”, the young Jongin was crying in pain and in hatred.

The President stood up from his seat, “You will understand soon, Jongin….”, and there he left his grandson drowned with agony and tears.

“You left me hanging for freaking 4 years….without telling everybody your whereabouts…Don’t you know how ing hurts me? It drives me crazy thinking of you.. I cant even sleep nor eat! Im blaming myself for all those years for being not a good girlfriend……. and that you choose to leave”,

Her voice became hoarse, I can hear her breath hitch…. She’s crying….she was broken…..and so do I.

Flashback

After what happen yesterday, jongin seems not in his normalself. He was spacing out, Exo K and Minjung notice his silence which grew in worries.

“SO! Minjung, whats your plan on your birthday next Friday?”, Chanyeol broke the silence, they were in the school cafeteria.
