Before I start the chapter I would like to highlight a few things. First, this incident is taking place after Jennie and EXO's comeback in 2018. Second, I editted a part of prologue, so please do check it out, though it is not of such importance but just so you guys know.

"Ayana, you cannot, at any cost, move out of this room, okay?" I explained to my daughter who was looking at me with a big toothy smile. 

"Ne appa!" She shouted. I crouched down to her level and kissed her plump cheeks.

"Good girl," I praised as I ruffled her hair. She giggled as she held her head.

"Ayana~" Jongdae hyung came from behind me and picked her up in his arms. "Uncle is going to be back in a jiffy okay? Don't miss me too much~" He said animatedly.

"I won't uncle! Do your best not to miss me," she said as she held his face in her tiny palms, directing his attention only to her. God, she is so adorable. 

"I will do my best~" He sang, giving her an eskimo kiss. The rest of the members couldn't help but laugh at the cute exchange.

Our manager had to practically throw us out of the room as we were reluctant to leave Ayana. And after a long tom-and-jerry fight with our manager we left for the shoot. I made sure Ayana was safe with our manager before we moved to the backstage.

I already miss my angel.

"I miss her," Minseok hyung pouted.

"Me too," Chanyeol hyung added.

"Me three," Jongin said as he laid his head on my shoulder.

"I know, even I do, but please don't ruin this. Now everyone, say cheese~" Junmyeon hyung said trying to lift our mood up but the opposite happened. Because that's what my angel says every time we have to leave her behind.

We were backstage so we could hear the song playing right now. The moment we heard the singer's voice we all turned to look at Jongin with a smirk.

" naneun solo~" Chanyeol hyung teased Jongin. 

"Hyung!" Jongin whined. We couldn't help but laugh.

"Waah, Jongin-ah, your girlfriend just said she is single. Mind if I court her?" Baekhyun hyung further.

"NE? No way!" Jongin screamed.

"Yah! Keep it down." Kyungsoo hyung hissed. He was extra pissy as he couldn't play with Ayana. Out of all of them, Kyungsoo was the closest to her. He loved her inevitably. Thinking about that brought back memories.

[Flashback]

"Ayana, what is wrong dear? Does your tummy hurt?" I asked the beautiful baby, now all pale in her small little bed. 

It was midnight and I was tired of shooting Busted. It was very hectic considering the constant change of location. I was fast asleep when I heard some whimpers coming from the baby bed attached to mine. I immediately shot up to see a crying Ayana.

"Appa," she cried a bit louder. I got so scared that I started sweating even when the A/C was on.

"What happened dear? If you don't tell appa what is wrong, how can appa take your pain away?" I said softly as I pushed back her long auburn locks. I had already checked her fever but it was normal. I had no idea what all kinds of health problems a 2 year old angel can have.

"My tummy, appa. It hults, vely bad." She cried. Tummy? Oh God, can a 2 year old have appendicitis? 

[*it hurts, very bad]

"Okay, look at appa." I tried to calm her down first. "Appa will press on tummy, okay? Tell me if it hurts more," I said as I softly pressed her tummy on the right side. But she didn't scream as I expected her to.

"What is wrong?" I thought to myself. Should I take her to the hospital? Just when I thought that and stood up lifting Ayana with me I heard a knock on my door.

"Oh Sehun, is everything fine?" Kyungsoo hyung entered the room. His eyes were a bit swollen showing that he just woke up.

"Hyung, why are you up? Go sleep." I said as quietly as I could. Ayana whimpered as I shifted her in my arms to get a better hold.

"Is she fine? I heard her crying on the baby monitor." He walked closer. Of course he would keep his monitor on. He was worried that I would be too deep in slumber as I was tired and wouldn't notice if something went wrong.

"She keeps complaining that her tummy aches." I explained as hyung felt her forehead to check if she had a temperature. 

"No fever." He said. I just nodded. "Aya, baby, can you tell Kyung uncle something?" He asked her softly. Ayana looked up from my shoulder and nodded at hyung.

"What did Aya eat today?" 

"Eggs," she moaned. Jesus, she is in so much pain. I almost teared up watching her face frown.

"And? What more did you eat?" Hyung continued to interrogate. I finally got where hyung was going. Indigestion. 

"Milk and banana," 

"Is that all? Nothing else?" He asked rubbing her tummy trying to soothe the pain.

"A-and, and..." she looked at me hesitantly and then at hyung.

"What is it baby? Say it, nobody is going to scold you," I assured her. She looked at me with glassy eyes indicating the new wave of tears on their way.

"Why Aya, why are you crying?" I asked as I held her close. She held onto my shirt tightly as she settled in the crook of my neck. Her sniffles grew louder by time. "Baby, like I said nobody is going to say anything okay? It is alright," I patted her small head. I looked at hyung in worry who smiled reassuringly.

"A-appa and unc-cle bill shcold* B-baekkie uncle," came her muffled voice. So she was worried about Baekhyun hyung? I couldn't help but chuckle at her cuteness.

[*will scold]

"What did this do now," hyung murmured. I looked at him in horror. 

Don't curse around her! I mouthed to him.

"Ayana, nobody is going to scold you nor that 5 year old kid uncle of yours. So tell me what more did you eat." Hyung went into his momma-mode. That's what I call it, cuz it always worked on her.

"Popcon and mashmallowch*," she whispered so softly that if it weren't for the quietness of the room, nobody could have heard her.

[* popcorn and marshmallows]

"WHAT?!" Hyung shouted, making Ayana shiver in fear.

"Hyung," I warned him. He sometimes loses his temper when the members mess up with her dietary regimen. She was a kid and isn't allowed to do anything as her tiny stomach cannot handle all the garbage we manage to gobble down our throats. That's why the moment Ayana was eligible to eat normal food other than her lactose diet, he immediately went to the shop to get the best pediatric food book. He made a well planned diet so that she could get all the nutrients she requires. That's how much he adored her.

"Sorry," He whispered and then looked at Ayana. "It's okay dear. What happened, you cannot change it, so for now, let us take medicine okay?" He said softly to Ayana. She slowly peeked from my neck and asked softly, "really? Uncle ish not angly*?"

[*uncle is not angry?]

"No baby, uncle and appa both are not angry." He explained with a soft smile. "Now, let us get some medicine and warm milk, okay?" He said to which Ayana nodded. She then looked at me for approval. I couldn't help but smile.

"My naughty little girl, you scared appa." I tweaked her nose. She smiled shyly at me.

That night hyung slept in our room to make sure that nothing was wrong. Even though he had an early morning shoot, he stayed up with us till 3 waiting for Ayana to sleep.

The next day Baekhyun hyung kept on mumbling about it was just one marshmallow and how his head has a bump now. Without a doubt, it was Kyungsoo hyung's doing.

[End of flashback]

It was just one of the many incidents when hyung stayed by me. I could never say it in words about how grateful I was. He always supported us silently, and that was more than enough for me.

"Hello," came a small voice from our right. We turned to look at a petite lady with headphones and a walkie talkie in her hand. She bowed to us as we returned politely. "EXO is after the next artist for the shoot, hope you are ready," She informed us. As soon as she left Jennie-ssi entered the room. The moment she noticed us she bowed. 

"Hello sunbaenim," she greeted us. 

"Hello~ Jennie-ssi," Beakhyun hyung sang. She smiled shyly, stealing glances at Jongin. I turned to look at Jongin who looked anywhere but her. He was too shy to talk to her infront of us. I couldn't help but smile at their interaction.

"Waah, Jennie-ssi, your debut was awesome!" Chanyeol hyung said, lifting both his thumbs. 

"Ne, I loved the vocals!" Jongdae hyung added.

"Oh, thank you so much for listening to my song," she bowed again.

"Oh dear, we have been listening to that song from the day it got released. Jongin had been playing it all around the home." Minseok hyung teased, to which Baekhyun hyung and I cracked up.

"Hyung!" Jongin shouted. His and Jennie-ssi's ears were all red in embarrassment.
