Chapter 34: Even If I Die

I ran and ran as fast as I could. I could feel the heat of the fire behind, slowly burning my skin as I ran in the very difficult intricate maze.

I screamed at the top of my lungs for help, but no sound would come out. I made a quick left turn and continued running for my life.

The ends of my hair, shrivelling, and falling off due to the extreme impact. It was becoming difficult for me to breathe, my eyes painfully drying up.

At each blink, I flinched in pain. As I took another turn, the worst of my nightmare appeared. A dead end.

I pushed myself against the wall, in hope of staying away from the fire. But the fire immersed me, sending electric waves of pain all over.

The touch of the flames brought blood curdling screams through me, the voice sounded like nothing I have ever heard before.

I could slowly see my eyelashes burning, and my skin slowly melting revealing the bone that is supposed to be kept hidden. My veins were burning. I was dying.

My eyes fluttered open at the disastrous and horrifying dream that occurred. My hands all clammy and my mind all jumbled as I tried to readjust my eyes to the dark.

I think I need a glass of water as my mouth was very dry.
