Lovers Inside [Rewritten]
Description
Foreword
The rain came down, slowly at first and then becoming quicker and quicker as time passed by.
Jonghyun walked through the rain, his bangs covering half his face as rain droplets began to soak through his hair and slide gracefully down his hair.
“Nothing…nothing has changed…” Jonghyun said to himself quietly.
If a passerby had walked by, they would’ve have thought that Jonghyun was the dead.
His skin was a pale white which glimmered in the rain, not in a pretty nor exotic way but in a dark and odd way which made people get goose bumps by staring at him.
“Sarah…why did you have to leave me…why…?” Jonghyun said to himself again, in that same hoarse and empty voice.
Sarah was Jonghyun’s exgirlfriend. The girl that changed his life. The girl that changed him. Without her, Jonghyun was just a body with no soul.
Jonghyun’s life, to him, was meaningless without her. He felt as if everything was going to revert back to normal again. Normal…he thought to himself and he felt the corners of his mouth lift up.
Nothing will ever be normal again.
Just as Jonghyun turned a corner, he heard a scream and a voice plead for mercy.
“Please…please don’t hurt me! I’ll give you all my money…please! Don’t –AH!”
Jonghyun stopped.
He wanted to forget.
He needed a distraction.
“Hey…you. “ Jonghyun said softly, his voice with no energy behind them.
The gang of men that was crowding around another turned around and saw Jonghyun.
The leader, Jonghyun recognized, was Danger. Danger was his enemy. A guy who always wanted to beat Jonghyun in a fight.
“My, my. Isn’t this Kim Jonghyun? How nice to see,”
Jonghyun felt Danger’s fist dig into his stomach and upon reflex, the top half of his body moved forward.
“You.” Danger said.
Jonghyun knew that he should just give Danger a head start before he hurt him back.
Danger took a step back and looked at Jonghyun.
“You’re not going to return it? Well, that’s fine by me-“
Jonghyun looked up at Danger.
“You really think so?”
Before Danger got a chance to reply however, Jonghyun was already onto him, punching him in the stomach twice as hard.
After a few more punches, Danger was lying on the floor, his nose bloody from getting punch head on with Jonghyun’s fist.
Jonghyun looked around him and saw that Danger’s followers were all on the ground.
He walked away.
“Oi! Jonghyun! I’m going to get you some day! And when that day comes! You’re going to die!” Jonghyun heard Danger yell behind him but he just ignored it.
He turned another corner and to himself, he said,
“Sarah…it’s all you’re fault. Don’t regret it…” A tear dropped out of Jonghyun’s eyes but he just ignored it and pretended that it was just another rain drop.
The night seemed to drag on forever as the bodies that were half bruised lay on the icy cold pavement.
Jonghyun returned to his home, blood stains on his once white shirt, and his eyes, lifeless and cold.
