Are you willing to do anything to get to the top? Or will you just drown in the ocean that is the kpop industry like the rest of them...

Can you maintain yourself in this industry? Or will you risk losing yourself just to survive?  

With a rise in global mainstream popularity, the kpop industry has taken a new turn for the worst as a cut-throat society hell-bent on crushing one another and created the greatest group known to music. Rarely any trainee is lucky enough to get a taste of debut life, barely scraping by, while more than half of idols groups that debut aren't able to make it out of the waters, failing pretty soon after they just get started.

 Noticing this twisted fate, the prestigious empire of the entertainment industry, known as CJ E&M Entertainment that owns over half of the industry all over the globe, from the famous broadcasting network Mnet and shareholding many popular entertainment companies, as well as their own entertainment companies, decides to invest in a new exclusive project in hopes to take the nation by storm and bring something fresh to the table.

"After CJ E&M Entertainment's surprising rise of profit and popularity due to their creation and broadcast of Produce 101 and Produce 48, CJ E&Mhave decided to create a new girl group from multiple labels without the survival aspect."

They hope to create a refreshing and unique girl group that is authentic and real, contrasting to all previous girl groups before them that is able to stand out on their own in this corrupt industry to break boundaries and push the envelope, not settling for the cookie-cutter generic group concepts and themes. This leads to the creation of project SPECTRUM - choose girls from different companies, ethnicities, and walks of life to form the ultimate girl group of South Korea that will bring the kpop industry together as the nations idols. They will perform as a whole group of nine as well as numerous units, switching things up and keeping their audience guessing with various themes and concepts on all ends of the spectrum.

With the announcement of this new representative group of Kpop, trainees from across the nation, hoping for a second chance or just a shot at debuting jump to rise to the top and snatch this opportunity off the table, all hoping to land a spot in Spectrum. Not knowing who their groupmates are, the girls are forced to work together with complete strangers and put up the illusion of a united front for the world to see and claim their spots as the only successors of the prestigious CJ E&M entertainment. Though, with different companies comes cut-throat competition, will they be able to come together as one to survive? Can they live up to their expectations as the heirs to a prestigious and exclusive throne at the top? Or will they fall from the balance of Spectrum and let their companies and CJ E&M down, drowning in the vast ocean of dreams that is the kpop industry?

You are allowed to apply with a character from any company but CJ E&M will be the head label paying other labels for use of their trainees/in a half and half agreement of the profits. So each girl will answer to the CEO of CJ E&M much like a normal company arrangement but with the addition of their CEO from their own company. So for example, if Bighit is your company then you'd answer to both Bighit and CJ E&M. Since the girls are under several different management, that means they'll move around from companies such as i.o.i. with production of music videos, albums, and the like. though the girls will have a main base at cj e&m as their head-label, which will be their main dorm. there will be nine girls total, however, they will perform both in multiple units, solo, and all together as a nine-member group. so, if you would like to suggest units, please feel free to do so. if you have any questions, please let me know below or shoot me a pm! ^^ apply fic open!
