10 Years Later --- Irene POV

“Yah Bae Irene!”

“Where are you?” 

“At home...sleeping…”

“Get your lazy here! We need you NOW!” 

Wendy’s voice was like a hard slap that snapped me back to the reality

“Geez, it’s Sunday Ms. Son Seung Wan and this is my off day, ring a bell?” I said lazily 

“For God Sake! Cut your and come here now!” she hung up 

“What wrong with this devil witch today! Arggggg” I dragged my tired body to the parking lot

I’m Bae Irene for those who wonder. I’m 27 this years and...still single ready to mingle. I’m not embarrassed of the fact that I’m still single because I have a good pay job and being independent.  

I’m a nurse for SM Hospital for like...how many years....4 years...yeah...4 ing years

I swear that I hate this hospital so much because as you can see. It’s my off day and I’m here dragging my to this hella place...Just because...they want me to be there...NOW!

Or it’s just my little whiny friend, Wendy, wants me to help her out. That little witch never leaves me alone on my day off. It’s either her car went off, some patient went crazy, or a ing stain of blood that comes from an infected patient. She is a nurse and she supposed or at least know how to deal with those situations, right? 

I parked my car and Wendy already rushed to me like a crazy woman. Her coat covered with dried blood and she looked like near the edge of breaking down. 

“What’s wrong?” I asked worriedly as Wendy led our way

“Accident...blood…” Wendy mumbled

“What?” I don’t get what she’s saying 

As we reached the entrance of SM Hospital, everything is totally chaos and blood mixed with the white floor as well as the wall. The scene was horrifying. 

“Bae! Hurry! This person over here” Heechul's voiced snapped me out of my thought 

“What happened? “ I rushed to my sunbae and a girl that covered with blood

“I’ll tell you later. Everything is safe now, don’t worry! This person now fully in your care” 

I was confused of everything but nodded my head as my sunbae leaving to the headquarter. There are 2 policemen that follow me or the girl to the special room. 

“Please stay out here. It’s privacy, sir” I said and closed the door 

“She got shot at her right rib” Wendy finally got her sense back

“Help me clean her up, Wannie” 

Now I have a closer look at the girl, the black long hair was dried and mix with blood. A sharp chin, nose, and pale skin. A dark and mysterious aura coming from her vulnerable face. Her lip, that kissable lip…

Wait what the hell...Yah Bae Irene you are straight...like ruler... STOP IT!!!

“Hehe...What happens to my straight Bae? That lip is soooo...kissable!” Wendy winked at me

“Yah! Shut up before I smack your head!” I threaten her 

BANG!!!!

“Are you girls done?” one of the policeman opened the door harshly

“Do you know to knock, sir?” Wendy hissed and her patience running low

“Cut the crab!” another policeman spoke up

“Excuse me?” I raised my voice

“Please calm down, everyone” Heechul friendly approaching us as he tried to lessen the tension 

“What’s your name, little brat hero?” the old policeman asked the girl sarcastically

Now speaking of the girl, she was waking up by the loud bang of the open door. Her face turned cold, sharp monolid eyes, dark aura, and an unreadable expression. Her face looks extremely beautiful combined with the monolid eyes and kissable lip. But somehow, I found death and darkness deep inside that monolid eyes. 

“...” she kept silent with her cold face

“Speak up! Are you deaf or mute” the 2 big policemen laugh

“How dare you ignore my question? Do you know that it’s not a good thing to interfere with our matter, kid!” The man slapped the girl angrily

“You can’t do that, sir!” I snapped back at the man

“I said DO NOT INTERFERE WITH OUR MATTER, nurse!” I backed away feeling helpless

This is why I never have a good impression toward police because they are a bunch of madmen and useless people. 

I looked at Heechul and Wendy asking for help, but they also scared for their sake like me. I looked at the girl again. She didn’t show any sign of pain or fear. Her face is cold now become coldest...her back straighten...her eyes full with darkness and a chill of death. 

“A girl like you should go home take care of your damn husband and not here to become a hero. Get it little brat?” they laugh again

“Useless policemen like you can’t even save a life, while letting a girl help you all out of your soon to be coffins” the girl's voice sent chill down my spine

Her voice was so cold but powerful in every word. I wonder who is she that has such charisma. 

“HOW DARE YOU TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT YOU....” before the man could touch the girl, he was cut off

“Stop if you don’t want to die” a strong male voice echo the room

Finally, the 2 policemen stopped and looked at the man. They seemed scared for their life. 

“Captain! My fault” the man bowed to the girl and everyone was surprised 

“C-cap-captain?” One of the policemen stuttered

Captain? Who is she? Me and Wendy both looked at each other and back to the girl

“Don’t you guys know how to bow when you meet the higher rank?” the man spoke harshly 

“W-we...don’t know...we’re sor…” both of the men started to bow like there is no tomorrow 

“That’s for the payback old men!” Wendy whispered to me

“This is General Officer of The Special Forces a.k.a Captain, Kang Seul” the man introduced

“I’m Choi Siwon, Co-Captain and her assistance” The man bowed to us

(Notes: General Officer is the highest rank in the military and The Special Forces are the group of strongest/ smartest soldiers that have potential from all of the military branches like army, navy, marines corps,and air force)

Kang Seulgi

The girl that confessed to me 10 years ago. I remember her. 

NO! I will NEVER forget her 

I looked at Wendy and her face also shock at the given info. It’s like she can read my thought. I did tell her about Kang Seulgi and she was there, on that fateful day, witnessing the confession. 

“Captain, these people will be responsible for your health until your discharge day” Siwon said to the girl but with a soft tone

“...” no answer. She looked like a statue, a cold one, without soul

“I’m Dr. Kim Heechul” Heechul oppa warmly introduced himself 

“Wendy...Wendy Son” Wannie smiled and waved her hand 

I busily observed the cold girl and didn’t pay any attention to the greeting thingy. I was drawn in by the girl mysterious aura and her eyes. Until Wendy slap my shoulder...HARD

“Ouch!” I yelped in pain 

“That for not paying attention! Your name please, Ms. Hella Straight” I swear I’m gonna slap the crab of her out someday

“I’m Irene..Bae…” I was cut off by Kang Seulgi 

“Bracelet” Kang Seulgi looked intensely at me 

“My bracelet...NO NO NO...where is my bracelet?” she started to panic 

“Captain calm down! We’ll find it for you later” Siwon was trying to calm the girl down

“NO! I need to find my bracelet?” just like that, she ran out of the room like a crazy person 

“It’s raining outside! Get me an umbrella, hurry!” Siwon yelled as everyone follow him

“Captain, please, your wound” Siwon tried to hold the girl back but the girl was too strong 

“No, my bracelet. I can not lose it...my bracelet!” the girl continued on while holding the wounded part of her rib. 

We all soak wet under the harsh rain. It pouring down like crazy and the girl still running around to find her bracelet. We all standing there watching the heartbreaking scene but unable to do anything. 

“Joy call Taeyeon, hurry up!” Siwon was yelling at the top of his lung for a girl name Joy

I can see panic, fear, darkness, death, sadness, and probably tears in her eyes at once. A small spark of twinkling light in her eyes as if it gonna be replaced by darkness. I don’t know it’s because of raining or she’s crying but she looked so depressed that this moment will never fade away in our mind, the witness. 

Blood from her wound continues on leaking out and covered her new white hospital clothes. She finally slows down. But despite the pain, she’s still trying to search for the bracelet. Until her energy gets drained and she stumbled down to the hard and cold ground. 

I ran to her with Wendy holding an umbrella. Her whole body was so cold and trembling. She was mumbling something but didn’t get a chance to finish it before she blackout. 

“B-bracelet...my bracelet...I- I...remember...y-your name...y-your name is... B-bae…”
