EXTRA 1/2

“Are you sure they won’t mind me coming too?” Baekhyun felt a little nervous as they walked up the stairs to get to one of Chanyeol’s friends apartment. The other has been assuring him it will be fine to bring him because ‘it’s just practice’ and ‘Sehun always hangs out during practice too’. The man didn’t feel that convinced though.

“It’ll be fine Baek.” Chanyeol wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “They will meet you. And love you. And won’t mind at all that you’re there. Promise.” He sent him a smile.

Without stopping to knock, Chanyeol just opened the door and walked in, pulling an unsure Baekhyun along with him. “We’re here!” He announced rather loudly.

Well; time to meet his friends I guess.

“Chanyeol! How many times do I have to tell you to ing knock!” A blond man walked in from what looked like to be a kitchen, scolding as he did, before stopping. “Oh. Hello?” He sent Chanyeol a questioning glance, but the man only smiled while taking Baekhyun’s hand in his.

“Hi hyung. This is Baekhyun.” He introduced.

Before either could do anything, another walked into the room. Baekhyun just smiled as Chanyeol introduced them. “These two are Sehun and Luhan hyung. They’re in love.“ He turned to him, stage whispering now. “Hyung is just in denial.“ Baekhyun chuckled.

“I'm not in denial about anything, you !“ The blond exploded with a scowl.

Sehun just beamed at him with a simple 'nice to meet you'

“Yea, nice to meet you.” Luhan was still glaring at Chanyeol.

Feeling his nerves disappear, Baekhyun grinned. “Nice to meet you. Chanyeol told me a lot about you.”

“He hasn’t told us anything about you.” The third person in the room, one sitting on the couch, intercepted, looking confused.

“That’s Yixing.” Chanyeol spoke from next to him, pulling him further into the apartment.

“What? I don’t get a hyung?” The man pouted.

“Never Xing.” Chanyeol grinned. “Baekhyun and I met when I was in the hospital.” He explained. “I never mentioned him because I didn’t want to hurt Kyungsoo. But…”

“Your stupid fell in love.” Luhan finished with a shake of his head, before he sent their new guest a smile. “Well, it’s definitely nice to meet you Baekhyun. Anyone who manages to make Chanyeol let Soo go must be special. Even though I am now a man down.” He side eyed the taller.

Chaneol bowed his head down. “I’m sorry hyung.”

“You better be.”

There were a few more ‘nice to meet you’s’ before Baekhyun found himself joining the man introduced as Sehun on the couch, enjoying the melodies and voices surrounding him with a smile. He was nervous for nothing.

Sehun watched his best friend settle next to Baekhyun during their food break, fingers working over the strings of his guitar in random melodies, like he hasn’t done in a long while.

It made him smile.

So this is the reason why he was off since he came back home. He found love again.

A soft hum joined the sound of Chanyeol’s guitar and Sehun watched said man smile at nothing in particular.

He’s happy again; Sehun thought as he listened to Baekhyun hum along. It’s nice to see him happy again.

EPILOGUE

“Stop filming. It’s embarrassing!” Baekhyun’s whined; his voice being carried through the TV screen as it showed him running away from whoever was holding the camera. The cameraman just followed him through the beach, ignoring the protests.

“We’re making memories, Baek.” Chanyeol’s voice boomed from behind the camera. “Gotta film those.” He insisted.

“It’s embarrassing.” The other protested again. But before he could get away an arm reached from behind the camera, hand grabbing Baekhyuns and pulling him closer, all the while turning the camera so it was facing both of them now.

Chanyeol’s grin could clearly be seen as he put an arm around Baekhyun’s shoulders to keep him in place. ”Come on. Smile Baek. It’s our honeymoon.”

At hearing the words TV Baekhyun smiled big and bright, and so did the one sitting on the couch, fingers turning the ring on his fingers as he watched himself laugh while a kiss was being pressed on his cheek. Even as he pushed Chanyeol’s face away afterwards.

He looks happy; Baekhyun thought, eyes still focused on watching the two of them run around on the beach. If only he could remember it.

“Why aren’t you in bed?” Chanyeol’s voice, started the man as he looked behind him to see the other standing in the doorway of their bedroom, illuminated only by the TV still playing in front of him.

Baekhyun smiled. “I couldn’t sleep and found these.” The man gestured towards all the Cds that were scattered around on the coffee table. Many of which he has already watched as he has been up since 1am. It was three now. “I wish I could remember.”

Seeing his past self look so happy in the video’s Chanyeol filmed had a feeling of loss fill him. He has done so much with the other, shared so many memories, and yet he remembers none of it.

Chanyeol sat down next to the man, pulling him close, cheek resting on top of his head as he fought off a yawn. “That’s why I film all the big things. So you don’t have to.” He too watched as Baekhyun was tackled down onto the sand, laughter filling the silent room.

“Thank you for staying with me.” Baekhyun spoke after a few minutes of silence, still playing with the ring on his finger. It was a habit he always seems to pick up after being told they are married, the other noticed with a smile. “Even though I keep forgetting you.”

The words had Chanyeol hold him a little bit tighter as he pressed a kiss against his neck, feeling the man sigh at the ministration. “Are you kidding?” Lips still pressed against Baekhyun’s neck he smiled. “My favorite thing to do is watch you fall in love with me over” He placed a kiss on his shoulder. “and over” A kiss was pressed against the others jaw. “and over again.” He found his lips, now and Baekhyun couldn’t help but smile at the feeling of his lips against his own.

How did he get so lucky?

The two kissed long and slow as their memories were left scattered across the coffee table. Memories of weddings and smiles and picnics and happiness.

They were happy.

No matter how many times Baekhyun forgets he will always find his happiness in the end. Because Chanyeol is always there to show him with big smiles and sweet kisses.

Baekhyun’s heart sped up.

EXTRA 2/2

The music was loud, as it was with events like these. People crowded around the main stage, as music blasted from the speakers, and lights flashed in bright colors.

Chanyeol could not look away from one person though. Not believing his eyes. “Kyungsoo?”

The man in front of him turned around at hearing his name, shock filling him as he saw his ex. Out of all the people in the room… How did he find himself in front of this one?

Kyungsoo. Chanyeol hasn’t seen him since the morning he left. Almost four years have passed since then. It was good to see him again.

“Chanyeol? I didn’t know you guys are in this.” Kyungsoo looked unsure, nervous, the man could see it clearly. “How have you been?”

“Good. Good. You?”

“Good. I-Um- I hope everyone doesn’t think bad of me for leaving like that.“ He meant Luhan. Chanyeol noticed and smiled.

“They understand, Soo.” The other cringed at the nickname; Chanyeol noticed with a sigh. It’s his own fault though. “You could have stayed you know. Didn’t have to leave your whole life behind because of my stupid decisions.”

“Chanyeol…” Kyungsoo sighed. “You know I couldn’t have. It hurt too much.”

Awkward silence fell between them as the music filled the air and Chanyeol went to brush his fingers through his hair, unsure of himself now. The motion had the lights above them reflecting against the ring on his finger, making the other notice it was there.

“You’re married?” He asked in disbelief. Wasn’t he always the one who said the whole concept is a stupid one? Chanyeol was the one to convince him that there is no need for a piece of paper just to show you love each other.

But maybe it was just him that wasn’t right in that equation. The thought was bitter.

“Oh yea.” Chanyeol looked at it with a smile, as if he forgot it was even there. “For two years now.” He grinned, but it went down as he looked at the other again. “I heard you and Jongin got together. That still a thing?”

“Yea.” Finally a smile; Chanyeol felt relief at seeing it. He didn’t mess him up too bad then. If he found love again.

“Luhan finally told Sehun he loves him you know.” He mentioned in hoped to lighten the mood.

“It’s about time.” Kyungsoo grinned. It worked.

“Hey-” Whatever Chanyeol wanted to say way interrupted by a yell of his name.

“Yah Park Chanyeol!” Turning at the familiar voice, said man couldn’t help but smile at seeing the one who was walking towards them. Kyungsoo noticed.

The man approaching them now was short and dressed in all in black, eyeliner framing his eyes. Kyungsoo could still see it was the man from the hospital. The one Chanyeol fell in love with.

Has he replaced him in the band as well? A pang went through his chest.

“Hey Baek.” Chanyeol greeted as the man approached.

“Hyung is going to kill you if we don’t get to the stage now.” Baekhyun spoke as he took Chanyeol’s offered hand in his own. “I would rather he not do that.” He added with a grin.

“Oh, yea. Sorry. Almost forgot. I’ll see you around Kyungsoo. Okay?” Chanyeol felt bad as he let Baekhyun pull him back to the stage before Luhan goes and gets them himself. The look on Kyungsoo’s face as he watched them wasn’t a happy one.

“Sure Chanyeol.” The words were spoken even as the two disappeared in the crowd of people, leaving Kyungsoo all alone once more. “See you around.”

Hand on his heart, Kyungsoo could feel it breaking all over again.

This is why he left in the first place. The pain of seeing Chanyeol with someone else was too much.

His fingers clutched the phone in his hand as he wrote the number he knew from memory, heading out of the door with hurried steps as tears filled his eyes. It hurt too much to breathe.

“Soo?”

“I can’t do this Jongin.” His voice shook. “I’m coming home.”

Will any amount of time be enough to fix his broken heart?

“I’ll leave the door unlocked.”

The line cut off, beeping now the only thing Kyungsoo could hear.

It hurt, but Jongin was there to make it better.

He was always there to piece his heart back together.
