A man (Joe Cheng) sighed as he watched the New Year's celebration from the top of Taipei 101. He pulled his hat over his eyes and a baleful smirk spread across his face. "Get ready my little friends," he muttered before he dived into the crowd. He landed right in front of the stage where S.H.E were performing and he slammed his weapon down on the ground. Its vivid red aura blinded everyone and it shook the ground. A loud explosion surfaced and several people were sent flying and crashing into others.

Yu Tong smirked as she looked at Yu Tang and Yu Ting as well as hundreds of their clones. They were all masked and disguised to hide their identities and were all scattered around the large crowd. As soon as the explosion took place, the sisters attacked any yi neng xing zhes they saw and stole their yi neng.

Screams and cries of fear came from every direction and the crowd rushed around in panic, trying to escape. Xiao Yu turned around, in fear. He looked around for Yu Yan but she was nowhere in sight. "Where's Yu Yan?!" he gasped, and immediately Da Dong and An Qi went pale.
"We have to find her!" Da Dong exclaimed as he tried to stay as close to his friends as possible because people were running around frantically, pushing and shoving each other.
"But it's too dangerous to stay here!" An Qi cried out as she felt herself being swallowed by the rush of people.
"An Qi!" Da Dong reached for her and threw out his hand.
"But Yu Yan is blind and she hasn't recovered yet, we can't leave her!" Xiao Yu protested before pushing through the crowd, "I'm going to go find her!" he yelled and began running aimlessly.

An Qi grasped onto Da Dong's hand and he pulled her towards him, "Stay with me, we'll look for Yu Yan together okay?!"
An Qi nodded and held onto his hand as they pressed through the crowd.

Police officers swarmed the area as they tried to locate the yi neng muggers and help the public to safety.

The man at the centre of it all laughed. He looked at his weapon before it vanished. He laughed menacingly at the chaos that he had created. He looked at all the yi neng xing zhes who were getting their yi neng away from them. "Stupid yi neng xing zhes," he commented, "Why gather in such a large place? You're just asking to have your yi neng stolen." He smirked as a group of brave yi neng xing zhes surrounded him, wanting to battle. He scoffed and sent them crashing into the stage within seconds. He then covered himself with his cape and disappeared.

Jiang Yu Yan froze as she was surrounded by rushing people. There was too much chaos for her even to move around. She couldn't see and all these moving people screaming at the top of their lungs were throwing off her echolocation, making her feel overwhelmed. Her hands flew to her ears as she tried to withstand the overbearing noises that were hurting her sensitive ears.

A laugh entered her ears. "Jiang Yu Yan!" Yu Tong exclaimed as she pushed her against a wall, "I can't believe you've become so weak, you have so many weaknesses don't you?" she laughed.
"Yu Tong?!" Yu Yan hissed.
"First of all, you're blind. Second, you can't take loud noises. Third, moving objects mess with your head, rendering your echolocation useless. Well aren't you in the perfect situation?" she laughed she whipped out a long sword and pointed it at .
Yu Yan's breath hitched in when she felt the sword come into contact with her neck and cut through a thin layer of skin. She felt her neck burn against the cold blade and a line of blood trickled down her neck. "What the hell do you think you’re doing?!" she barked at her younger sister.

Yu Tong pressed the blade against her neck, "You betrayed father, don't you deserve to die?" she asked with wide eyes.
"If you kill me then who will take my place?! I'm the most important part of father's plan, if you kill me you're also betraying father!" Yu Yan yelled back at her.
"Father will always have someone to replace you - you're not as important as you think you are!" Yu Tong retorted as she poked her neck with her sword further. She then laughed, "You're really not going to fight back and just accept death like this? Where's the strong and brave Jiang Yu Yan from my childhood?! The one who always fought back no matter what, the one with the heart of ice? What's this lump of flesh standing before me? A disgrace to father and yourself!" she exclaimed before she swung and the sword at her.

Before Yu Yan could retaliate and defend herself, the sword cut through flesh and blood splattered across the floor…

Expecting impact, her eyelids opened wide when she detected the presence of someone standing before her.

Wang Da Dong clenched his teeth as he tried to suppress his cry of pain. He held the end of Yu Tong's sword with his bare hand. He breathed heavily as he held onto it tightly; his hand was washed in red and was dripping with blood.

Yu Tong's eyes widened. Her stomach then fluttered with butterflies and her grip on her sword loosened. Da Dong pulled the sword out of her hand and threw it to the floor.

"Da Dong!" An Qi cried and rushed over to him.

"Wang Da Dong..." Yu Tong hissed as her body temperature began rising. She then looked around as Xiao Yu caught up with them and she saw Yu Ting watching them from afar. She also saw several police officers heading towards them. She rolled her eyes before she retreated, "We'll meet again!" were the words she said last.

An Qi quickly tore off a part of her shirt and wrapped it around Da Dong's bleeding hand. "Are you okay?" she asked, worriedly.
Xiao Yu caught up to Yu Yan and put a hand on her shoulder, "Are you okay?" he asked.
Yu Yan nodded slowly before she flinched when Xiao Yu brushed his fingers over the cut on her neck.

Yu Yan couldn't hear him anymore as she became lost in thought, Jiang Yu Tong... you actually tried to harm me on purpose... how dare you?! She then turned her head in Yu Ting's direction, where she stood hidden. Yu Ting, you’re here as well, aren’t you? ...Were you in on this as well...?

The group, as well as many other people, were rushed to a nearby hotel to rest for the night. At the hotel, when everyone had freshened up, police investigators came into every room to ask for statements from all the witnesses.

An Qi sat with Da Dong on the sofa in the suite they had been given. Yu Yan stood by the balcony with Xiao Yu, where he treated the cut on her neck. The four didn't speak much; they were still shocked from the literal bang that had started off their new year.

"An Qi, Yu Yan, you two should rest," Da Dong said as he stood up. "Xiao Yu and I will stay up and inform you of anything new," he added as he walked over to the small kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee.
Xiao Yu nodded in agreement, "You two must be tired after all this."
"Don't tell me what to do; I don't want to sleep," Yu Yan replied.
"I agree, how can you sleep when something like this has happened?" An Qi asked. "So many people were heavily injured, we're lucky we escaped with nothing too major."
She looked over at Yu Yan and Da Dong who had gotten hurt.

"An Qi, you of all people should rest. You have your flight at noon, you should get some rest. It's nearly 2am." Da Dong stated as he passed Xiao Yu a mug of coffee.
"I don't want to," An Qi protested.
"An Qi, Da Dong is right," Xiao Yu replied, "Since we are all fine, there's nothing to worry about."
"But-"
"No buts!" Yu Yan snapped, "Just go have a rest so these two idiots shut up." She then sat down in front of them and popped in her earphones into her ears. She her MP3 player and closed her eyes to listen.

Noticing this, An Qi gave Xiao Yu a look and he responded with a smile. An Qi smiled as a result before she got up to rest in one of the bedrooms.

It was around 6am when all the witnesses were allowed to leave. Xiao Yu and Yu Yan said their goodbyes to Da Dong and An Qi before heading back to Xiao Yu's apartment. The walk home was a silent one as they were both feeling tired and wanted some sleep.

A woman (Pauline Lan) stood at the bottom of a flat, waiting. She paced around impatiently before her eyes landed on the one she had been waiting all morning for. "Ding Xiao Yu, where have you been all night?!" she barked.
Xiao Yu's eyes widened, "Aunty...? What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Is that how you speak to your elder, young man?! What would your father say?" she yelled at him, "I've come to see where my disrespectful and unfilial nephew has been living and to see whether he has the money I've asked for - but I can see that he's been busy playing with girls all night!" she barked at him as she glared at Yu Yan.

"Aunty, can we talk about this elsewhere?" Xiao Yu asked, in a hushed voice.
She walked up to him and slapped him across the face, "When will you learn to treat your only family with respect? All you do is fight and play the piano all day - just like your stupid good for nothing father! And now you're in such a problem and you're taking it lightly?"
Yu Yan's eyes widened at her actions.
"Aunty, now isn't the right time-"
"Silence! You really want to leave Zhong Ji Yi Ban, don't you? You're a coward, just like my useless brother - leaving all your problems to me," she grabbed his ear angrily, "If I don't receive that money soon, I will pull you out of Zhong Ji Yi Ban!" She then hit his head.

Almost on instinct, Xiao Yu broke out, "Don't hit my head."
"How dare you talk back to me!" She swung her hand to slap him again. Xiao Yu, expecting the impact, looked away. But the impact did not come.

Yu Yan held his aunt's wrist tightly and glared at her. "Who the hell do you think you are to be screaming and yelling so early in the morning like some mad woman?!" she barked, throwing her arm down.
"Young lady, this is none of your business!" she yelled, angrily.
"His business is my business!" Yu Yan spat at him, "You have no right to cause such a ruckus, and what makes you think that you can abuse him?! You shameless hag."
"What are your parents' names? They need to teach their insolent daughter a lesson," she questioned, angrily as she glared at Yu Yan.
"Stop changing the subject, hag. You're the one that needs to be taught a lesson," Yu Yan snarled, "How can you treat someone else's child, your own nephew, with so little respect? If he said he'll give you money or whatever, he will! I don't know what's going on but Ding Yu Long is a well known and respected man in the yi neng world and for you, his sister, to be such a deranged woman is just a disgrace to his name alone!"

Fuming, Xiao Yu's aunt tried to remain calm, "What's your name young lady?!"
Yu Yan smirked, "Jiang Yu Yan, ma'am," she smiled, "Remember it well because I'll be the first one on your doorstep if and when you cause trouble for Ding Xiao Yu," she threatened.
"Jiang Yu Yan..." Xiao Yu whispered, surprised because he knew she was serious whenever she called him by his actual name.
Yu Yan turned him and grabbed his hand, "Let's go," she muttered to him and walked away with him, into the building and up to his apartment, leaving Xiao Yu's aunt standing there annoyed. She clenched her fists as she stared at her nephew walk past her.
