"All I want is you... Only one is you in my life."

Congratulations

When Sunggyu woke up that morning, he was the most comfortable he had ever felt in the last two weeks. His head was pounding and his throat felt dry yet, he just had the most amazing sleep in a long time. He was wrapped around something warm that smelled familiar and comforting.

He slowly opened his eyes, blinking rapidly to adjust to the morning light. He raised his head and met Woohyun’s sleeping face. One of his husband’s arms were wrapped around his shoulders. One hand was in Sunggyu’s hair, his fingers tangling in with the dark strands.

Feeling himself smile, Sunggyu raised himself to his side so he could look at his husband properly. The younger’s hair was sticking up all over the place, his plump lips in a cute pout. He looked peaceful, ethereal even under the morning light. He couldn’t help but reach out and cup his cheek, gently so he wouldn’t wake him up. He reveled in the feel of his husband’s warm skin against his fingers.

Sunggyu loved him so much.

He didn’t know how long he laid there, just watching Woohyun sleep. But, soon, the latter began to stir – little twitches of his nose, a few groans, and some stretches. Soon, Woohyun’s eyes fluttered open. He blinked a few times, unseeing until he caught sight of Sunggyu.

The older smiled at him. “Good morning,” he greeted.

To his delight, Woohyun smiled back and responded, “Good morning.”

For a few moments, they only stared at each other. Sunggyu drank him in, having his fill. He missed him so much.

Woohyun sat up and stretched, his muscles popping.

“Woohyun… About last night…” Sunggyu hesitated. “I’m sorry… I put you in such an uncomfortable position. I was…”

His husband chuckled. “You were drunk, Gyu. I get it.”

Sunggyu’s heart fluttered at the nickname.

“I promised you that we would talk… and we will…” He started getting up from the bed, stretching some more as he did so. “But, after breakfast, okay?”

Sunggyu nodded. Just then, his phone rang. He looked around, spying his jacket hanging neatly from a chair. He quickly got up and went to it, rummaging through the pockets until he found the mobile.

“It’s Howon,” he stated, looking at the caller ID. “I’ll just take this and follow.”

Woohyun nodded and left the room as Sunggyu picked up the call.

“Hey.”

“Hey, Sunggyu. How are you feeling this morning?”

He thought back to when he first awoke and smiled. “I feel great.”

“Huh… that’s good then. Did you get home okay?”

Sunggyu chuckled. “I’m actually at my mother-in-law’s. With Woohyun.”

“Whoa! Really? But, I told the cab driver to take you to your apartment!”

“Ahhh, about that… I ended up asking him to take me to omo-nim’s…” He let out another chuckle. “I thought I could serenade Woohyun into forgiving me.”

“That’s… lame.”

“Yah! It worked!”

“It did?”

“Yes! We slept together last night!”

A choking sound. “Y-You did?!”

Sunggyu felt himself blush. “All we did was sleep. But, he agreed to talk with me this morning.

 “That’s good progress.”

“Yeah…”

A brief silence on the other line. “Hey, it will be alright. You just do what you need to do, okay? Dongwoo and I… we’re here for you, guys.”

“Thanks, Howon.” Suddenly feeling sentimental, he added, “You’re my best friend, you know.”

On the other line, Howon barked with laughter. “And you’re so gross!” Yet his tone was affectionate. “Now, stop talking to me and get back to your husband, you weirdo!”

They said their goodbyes and hung up.

Sunggyu stood on his spot for a moment, allowing everything that happened in the past 24 hours to wash over him. He was finally getting that talk with Woohyun. And he hoped with everything he had that by the end of it, he could convince the younger to come home with him.

He would fix his mistakes, no matter what.

Woohyun hummed lightly as he watched the egg cook in the pan. Deeming it ready, he added sprinkles of cheese and bits of bacon before folding it up, carefully. He waited for it to cook just a little bit more, still humming.

“You’re in a good mood,” his mother commented from her spot on the table. “I checked on Myungsoo this morning. You weren’t there.”

Woohyun blushed. “I, um, slept in Boohyun-hyung’s room… so I could watch Sunggyu! He was drunk!”

Mrs. Nam raised both hands in surrender. “Alright, I get it. No need to be so defensive, Woohyunnie.”

Just then, a third figure entered the kitchen, running a hand through his disheveled hair.

“Good morning,” he greeted with a smile.

“Good morning, son-in-law,” Mrs. Nam greeted, gesturing for him to sit. “Quite a night you had.”

Sunggyu turned red and chuckled as he took the offered seat. “I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for taking care of me.”

Woohyun plated the omelet he was making, poured some coffee into a mug with a teaspoon of sugar, and placed both items in front of Sunggyu.

“Eat up,” he said, before taking his own seat.

Silently, they all dug into their breakfast, specially cooked by Woohyun. He had insisted on making food that morning since he knew Sunggyu’s preferences.

Myungsoo was still asleep and would most likely continue to sleep for a while since it’s the weekend so they had some time to talk without him in earshot.

After breakfast, Mrs. Nam excused herself, claiming she needed to go to the market to pick up some things for lunch.

“You’re staying, yes?” she said to her son-in-law.

Sunggyu looked at Woohyun in inquiry, who nodded. The talk may take a while, well into lunchtime. And Woohyun had no intention to fight with him or make things worse. They will work things out, if it was the last thing they did.

Soon, it was just him and Sunggyu in the house, sitting across from each other, with Myungsoo fast asleep upstairs, without a care in the world.

“I’m sorry,” Sunggyu began in a small voice. “I know I can’t take back what I did. And I’ll regret it for the rest of my life. Woohyun…” He slowly reached out to take one of his husband’s hands. “I’m really sorry.”

Woohyun swallowed the lump in his throat, but he didn’t take his hand back as he would have two weeks ago.

“Can you tell me the truth then?” he said, looking down at their conjoined hands. “Does she… mean anything to you? Do you have feelings for her?”

“No!” Sunggyu tightened his grip. “I don’t have feelings for her!”

“Then… why?”

Sunggyu took a deep breath. “I was drunk… I know that’s no excuse, but I got carried away that night. I drank too much and I… I asked her to take me home because I was so out of it. I didn’t realize until later that she had taken me to her own home.”

By now, Woohyun’s tears were falling. He didn’t want to cry, but he couldn’t stop himself. “Do you not remember anything at all?”

Sunggyu appeared to hesitate.

“I want complete honesty, Sunggyu. Whatever it is, you can tell me.”

“I… I knew that she liked me… I thought it was harmless so I didn’t even try to discourage her. That was my mistake, I should have laid out boundaries the moment I realized her feelings. And that night… I… I don’t remember much of what happened, it’s a bit of a blur… But I didn’t stop her… I knew… A part of me knew that I was doing something wrong but for some reason… I couldn’t stop her… ” Sunggyu met his eyes, his own wet with his own tears. “I regret that night, Woohyun. I wish I could take that night back and just asked you or Howon to come and get me, but I made all the wrong decisions. I regret it all. Please… Believe me.”

“So why didn’t you tell me? Why did you keep this from me?”

“I was afraid… I was afraid that you would leave me. But… I did want to tell you, honest. But, you heard me that night before I could. I’m sorry. I’m so, so, so sorry.”

He brought Woohyun’s hand to his lips and planted a kiss there. “I’m sorry,” he whispered again before landing another kiss on his ring finger. “I love you… I love you so much.”

Woohyun sniffled, his heart aching in his chest at the sight of his remorseful husband.

A part of him was glad that Sunggyu found the strength to be honest with him now. Another part felt disturbed by the possibility that this woman may have taken advantage of his vulnerable husband. And, yet, another part was hurt that Sunggyu didn’t try to discourage the woman’s feelings and he knew about them.

But, despite all that, one thing hadn’t changed: he still loved him, no matter what.

Woohyun reached out with his other hand to cup Sunggyu’s cheek before flashing him a smile. “I love you too,” he said.

Sunggyu’s eyes lit up. “Do you forgive me, then?’

Woohyun his cheek with a thumb. “I’ll be honest, it won’t be easy… But, I’m willing to try. For you and for our son.”

Finally, Sunggyu broke into a smile.

For some minutes, they stayed like that, Woohyun Sunggyu’s cheek as the other planted kisses on his hand and fingers, whispering, “I love you” after each peck.

Woohyun had no idea where they would go from there. Call him a fool, and maybe he was, but he had no intention of letting this man go.

The sound of soft footsteps reached their ears and they looked up to see Myungsoo, sleepily rubbing his eyes. He didn’t notice them yet, as he cutely stretched his arms over his head, yawning.

When he finally opened his little eyes, they widened upon seeing them together, holding hands and clearly happy again.

“Good morning, baby,” Sunggyu greeted with a grin.

“Appa!”

The little boy rushed into his open arms and the man lifted him into his lap, hugging him. Woohyun couldn’t help but smile at the sight.

Myungsoo ate his breakfast, seated on Sunggyu’s lap. He chattered about whatever came to mind, making his breakfast longer than it normally should be. But, neither fathers minded. Seeing their son as happy and bright as he was before filled their hearts with enough warmth.

“Myungsoo-ah, after lunch, pack your things,” Woohyun said, as he began clearing the table.

The little boy and his Appa both tilted their heads to the side in clear confusion.

He only chuckled at them. His silly boys.

“We’re going home.”

Sunggyu couldn’t believe how his day had turned out.

Finally, he and Woohyun managed to talk. He finally had the chance to be honest with his husband. And although it was vague, Woohyun may have forgiven him. If not, then he had the chance to redeem himself.

When Woohyun had told Myungsoo to pack up because they were going home, Sunggyu felt like he had been given the world.

They didn’t go home right away. Sunggyu had suggested spending the day together as a family. They hadn’t done that in a long time and they were long overdue for family bonding.

So, they had taken Myungsoo to the movies, then out for ice cream, and even did a little shopping before having dinner at Myungsoo’s favorite kid’s cafe. Throughout the day, he and Woohyun had laughed, flirted, and even held hands. He wished he could kiss him but he didn’t want to overstep his boundaries.

He was just happy that Woohyun had agreed to come home and give him a chance to fix his mistakes.

Right now, an exhausted Myungsoo was in Woohyun’s arms, fast asleep. Sunggyu took charge of their bags when they returned to their condo.

After putting Myungsoo to bed, they headed back to their own room. Woohyun announced that he was going to shower first.

While the younger was in the bathroom, Sunggyu sat frozen on the bed. A huge part of him worried that Woohyun might not want to sleep in the same room or the same bed as him. The thought continued to bother him until Woohyun finished his shower and told him it was his turn.

He spent the entire twenty minutes in the shower, brooding.

Woohyun was already in his pajamas when he returned to the room. The younger grinned at him and for some reason, he suddenly felt embarrassed entering their bedroom in just a bathrobe.

“Why are you red?” Woohyun asked, getting up and walking over to him. He took the small towel around Sunggyu’s neck and began to dry his hair with it. “Don’t tell me you’re feeling shy, Gyu? I’ve seen everything, you know.”

“Y-Yah…” Sunggyu lamely responded.

Woohyun chuckled and silently continued to dry his hair. When he was done, he tossed the towel into the hamper and returned to his original spot on the bed. He patted the sheets beside him and Sunggyu obeyed the silent request.

When he was settled, Woohyun laid his head on his shoulder. “I’m still mad at you, you know,” he said, quietly. “But, today, spending time with you and Myungsoo, I’m reminded why I can’t let you go just like that.”

Woohyun lifted his head and smiled and Sunggyu felt his heart soar at the sight. His husband was beautiful and so sweet and kind. How did he get so lucky? What great deed did he do in his past life that he was rewarded with such a beautiful soul for a husband?

Sunggyu cupped Woohyun’s face in between his hands.

“I love you, yeobo,” he said, softly.

Woohyun chuckled. “I love you too. Now, kiss me. I’ve been waiting all day.”

You didn’t have to tell him twice. Sunggyu immediately leaned forward and pressed his lips to Woohyun’s plump ones. He tasted like fresh mint and something that was just uniquely Woohyun. He missed these lips so much.

He missed him so much. How could he even bare to taste someone else when his own husband was so intoxicating?

The thought of his mistake sent a pang straight at Sunggyu’s heart and he kissed Woohyun harder. The younger whimpered, clutching the front of his robe tightly in his fingers.

Running out of air, Sunggyu pulled away but proceeded to press kisses across Woohyun’s sharp jawline before moving down to his throat, nipping, gently.

Woohyun let out a pleasured groan, his own hands coming up to run themselves through Sunggyu’s hair. They made their way back down to his robe to pull him back up for another searing kiss.

“Make love to me,” he whispered against Sunggyu’s lips.

Without another word, Sunggyu grabbed him by the waist, gently pushed him down the bed, and did exactly that.

His heart was so full of love and joy from seeing Woohyun so desperate for his touch. His pleas and moans of Sunggyu’s name were music to his ears. The nimble fingers scratching down his back left him feeling like he was on fire.

The only thoughts that filled his head were of Woohyun.

Just Woohyun.

Woohyun. Woohyun. Woohyun. How many times did he say his name that night? He had lost count.

And as they laid in the aftermath of their lovemaking, he had never felt such peace. They stayed like that for the longest time, taking in the silence, reveling in the feel of each other.

Woohyun laid on his side close to him, one arm around Sunggyu’s bare waist. The older's own arm was wrapped around Woohyun's back, his fingers tapping a random rhythm against a bare shoulder.

After some time, the younger spoke. “Gyu?”

“Hmm?” Sunggyu pressed a kiss against his forehead.

Woohyun chuckled as he burrowed further into Sunggyu’s side.

“Can I ask you a question?”

“Of course. Anything.”

At first, the younger was silent, contemplating. Sunggyu waited, patiently.

Finally, he spoke, “That woman… Eunseo, right?”

A feeling of uneasiness made itself known in the pit of Sunggyu’s stomach. Nonetheless, he answered. “Yes.”

“How far along is she?”

Sunggyu swallowed. “She told me 10 weeks. Probably a little more now.”

Woohyun hummed. “She must be miserable. I wonder how bad her symptoms are.”

“I… I don’t know.”

It wasn’t like he and Eunseo had any time to talk about the baby. He had been preoccupied with work and thinking of ways on how to get Woohyun and Myungsoo back. And now that he thought about it, he never really paid attention to her nor did she try to force him to talk about it.

In fact, it didn’t even feel like they were both… expecting. Eunseo acted like her normal self around him.

Woohyun looked up at him with a slight frown. “Has she seen a doctor?” he asked.

“Yes… when she found out… Oh, she told me she has an appointment with an OB/GYN… this week, I think.”

“You should go with her.”

Sunggyu’s eyes widened and he sat up in shock. “W-What?”

Woohyun sat up with him. “This is a vulnerable stage for her. When Sangmi was pregnant with Myungsoo, she had a hard time with the morning sickness and the fatigue. She was uncomfortable and irritated all the time and there were times when she cried for no reason at all. But, she told me that me being there helped her cope better.”

Sometimes, Sunggyu forgot that before him, there had been someone else in Woohyun’s life. Granted, they never had anything serious, just a one night stand that resulted in a baby. Sangmi never returned to Myungsoo’s life and sometimes, Sunggyu selfishly hoped that it stayed that way. Woohyun once told him that if she did come back and ask to be introduced to their son, he wouldn't deny her.

But, this because Woohyun was kind. He had been there for the mother of his child, even if he didn’t have feelings for her. Of course, he would allow her to see him, even if she had been absent for most of the child's life.

His husband was simply that type of person.

“W-Woohyun, you don’t have to force yourself to do this.”

And he meant it. This was his mistake, his problem. Woohyun had no responsibility to take and he wouldn’t force him to.

“Sunggyu, I’m not being forced. I want you to do this.” He took Sunggyu’s hands in his. “I’m not going to deprive you of being a father.” A fond smile made its way to his lips. “When Myungsoo was born, it was the happiest day of my life. That feeling of knowing that you created this tiny human being, that he was yours to love and cherish, that someday he was going to go out into the world and meet people and change lives, I want you to be able to feel that because it's the most wonderful feeling in the world.”

Looking into his eyes, at the way the brown orbs shined and sparkled as he spoke, Sunggyu knew that his husband was sincere.

How could he almost forget? Myungsoo was Woohyun’s greatest treasure. His birth may have been unconventional but to Woohyun, he was a blessing.

Yet, he still couldn’t help the guilt that continued to gnaw at his heart at the thought that he had created a child with someone else.

“I’ll fix this, okay? I promise. I’ll figure something out. So, you don’t have to worry.”

He didn’t know if he was reassuring Woohyun or himself.

But, the younger smiled at him and shook his head, placing a hand on his cheek. “No, Gyu, we’ll fix this together.” He gripped the older’s hand tighter. “You’re my husband and I’m yours. We’re partners. So, we’ll fix this together, okay?”

“But-.”

Sunggyu’s protest died when Woohyun pressed a sweet kiss to his lips. “We’ll do this together,” he said one more time with finality.

Sunggyu felt himself fall just a little deeper in love.

When Sunggyu arrived at the somewhat familiar apartment building, he was filled with nerves. And when he finally came face-to-face with the door that he sought, the nerves intensified. Nonetheless, he gathered all his strength and pushed the doorbell, bracing himself.

He heard some shuffling and a high-pitched “Coming!” and a few seconds later, the door opened.

Eunseo stood at the door in a pretty blue, flower-patterned dress. She bowed her head, slightly at him.

“Sajangnim, welcome,” she greeted with a smile.

He returned the bow. “Eunseo-shii, thank you for letting me come over. I know it was random and a bit last minute. But, it’s really important that we talk.”

She nodded. “Yes, I suppose it’s time. And again, I thank you for accompanying me to the doctor yesterday.” She stepped to the side. “Please, come in.”

“Ahhh, before I do, I actually… brought someone with me.”

She tilted her head to the side in confusion before Sunggyu gestured at his companion to show himself.

The other took a deep breath before stepping into the woman’s line of sight.

Eunseo’s eyes widened as fell slightly open in shock.

Woohyun bowed, politely, at her before saying in a neutral tone, “Hello. My name is Nam Woohyun. I’m Kim Sunggyu’s husband.”

A/N: They made up! Woohoo! And how amazing is Woohyun? It takes a lot of courage to be able to allow your husband to interact with the other woman for the sake of a baby. And he would know because he had been there. Sure, the circumstances are different but one thing stays the same: there is an innocent child involved.

So, now, starts the journey of WooGyu as they face this next challenge in their lives. Trust is key and their love will be tested a few times. We'll find out in the next chapter how Myungsoo takes this news and seeing as he is still quite young, it's a very delicate matter so I'm reading a couple of articles from child Experts to accurately portray how to break this kind of news to a child.

The inspiration for this chapter's title came from SHINee's "Life."

'Til the next one!
