Chapter 2 – Green Mess
“Pretzel, what the hell did you eat?”
Pretzel watched as Han Seul wiped the pee stain off the kitchen with much effort. It was confused on why the lady was so mad at its hard work. Finding the right spot to pee on is not an easy job.
“Did you eat a glow stick or something?” she scowled at him as she tried to scrub off the neon glow that was left on the wall. “Eun Mi will kill me—I’m so dead,”
Before she was even finished, she heard the sound of Donut meowing loudly, followed by a massive scratching sound. Han Seul whipped her head to the cat’s direction and saw Donut scratching Eun Mi’s curtains, trying to climb up. Without a second thought, Han Seul scrambled to the cat with wide, open arms.
“Donut, no!” she charged at its direction.
Donut visibly flinched upon hearing her voice and whipped its head to her with wide, surprised eyes before hissing at her.
“Bad Donut! Bad, bad Donut—“she tried to grab the kitten off the curtain, but Donut was stubborn and persisted to stitch her claws in the curtain, and with one tug, the curtain ripped with her pull on the cat. Both Donut and Han Seul froze after hearing the loud tear.
Skibbles just watched them in hunger, still waiting for its non-existent carrots.
Han Seul could almost hear Donut’s words through its angry meows—let me out, human!
The girl stared with folded arms at the caged cat, its paw out ready to scratch her the second it could reach her. Is this the thanks she deserves after saving this god forsaken cat? If Eun Mi was here, she’d probably say yes.
“You acted so helpless and innocent just a few hours ago, and after adapting for a second you completely ruined the curtains. How am I supposed to explain this to Eun Mi?”
Just then, a door knock was heard. Han Seul snapped her head to the door—Eun Mi can’t come back, not now.
“Just a minute!” she scrambled to the side of the sofa and started pushing hard, attempting to cover the shredded part of the curtain.
