Chapter 1 – No Animals

Han Seul flinched when her friend slams the door shut behind her, her arms protectively wrapped around the poor animals.

“We’ve talked about this before, Han Seul,” Eun Mi paced around the room, moving back and forth in angry strides as she tried her best to calm down. “I told you, NO ANIMALS in my house!”

“I-I’m sorry!” Han Seul glanced at the animals staring steadily at her. “It’s just that—they were about to kill them, Eun Mi! I saw it with my own eyes. They were this close to electrocuting Skibbles here after drenching him in water,” she pet the said yellowish-brown bunny, still damp.

“You named them already?” Eun Mi scowled at her.

“Well, just the bunny—“

“You said the same thing when you brought Minseok the rat with you, Han Seul,” Eun Mi pointed at her bedroom door furiously.

“Hamster,” Han Seul corrected awkwardly.

However, it fell on deaf ears. “It was one rat, and I tolerated it. And now, what—you brought an entire team of animals!”

“They were all next in line to be killed! You can’t expect me to just stand by and watch as I sweep turd off the ground!” the animal lover exclaimed, protectively hugging the box of baby animals.

“Give them back to the pet shelter, right now,”

“What? No! I can’t do that!”
