"Mom, can I talk to you?" Namjoon asked from afar, receiving a nod from his mother. They went downstairs, back to the living room, both ready to have a conversation.

"Mom, I'm really sorry. As much as I want to make you proud, as much as I love the idea of treating patients, as much as I'm aware of everything that's prepared for me in New Jersey... I really want to be a rapper. I want to be a part of music. Please don't stop me, mom. I can't convince dad. He never listens to a thing I say. So, you're my only option…" The young boy has never been so upset about anything before and his mother could understand that.

She caressed the boy's cheeks and smiled before she continued, "Joonie, don't you want to put all of those thorough school years to work? Don't you want to use your knowledge? What's wrong with being a doctor?"

"Mom, I will put all my effort into songs, so please. You and father have always made decisions for me, never asking my opinion! How do you think I feel about that, mom?"

"All the choices we've made led you to be here. You need to understand what we're going through. If you become a doctor and work by your father's side, do you know how much-"

"Is everything you and father care about money? Is that it? Have you ever wondered what I may have in my mind? Have you ever thought about me? I don't want to be a doctor, why are you forcing me to do so? I want to follow my dreams just like the others! I want to stay with my friends! The Golden Friends have all decided to go for music! We've been practicing and training as well! We have a big dream, mom! We want to join BigHit University of Music and Arts! We want to make others enjoy every aspect of music!"

"T-They're aiming for music as well? Wow... Well, for sure, their parents won't agree. Look, as much as I would love to see you smile and perform on stages and all, do you think you're even going to get into that university? It's impossible, dear! Would you rather hope that you can become a rapper and wait for the rest of your lives or would you become a doctor and start getting paid? Think about it, swee-"

"No, mom. No. I don't want to be under your control anymore. Please, just let me do what I want. I appreciate your thoughts and I am glad you raised me and helped me through life but it's time that I make my own choices. And how are you so sure about everyone's parents disagreeing? And who knows? Maybe we will get into the university, we won't know till we try! And if we can't, we still won't give up. We will try another university..."

"Talk to your father about it because you failed at convincing me. Your aunt and your uncle-"

"You know what? Just forget about it! I don't have to talk to any of you! I don't need your permission. I will do what I want and that's final! I thought I had a chance when I'm with you but no, I never expected this from you, mom..." Namjoon ran to his room to sleep before all of today devoured him.
