What was it that she liked about Jongin?
Inhae didn’t know.
But there was something about him that just makes her wanted to stare at him and just listen to whatever he was saying and she just felt stupid because obviously, the boy didn’t even care about her at all.
He was busy with his life, and Inhae was busying herself thinking about him.
He had a girlfriend already, and Inhae was still crushing on him like a stupid girl she was.
For all she knows, Jongin was a jerk – he treated everyone like some kind of fun that he could play with and really, she hated seeing that, but still – she didn’t know why she was still crushing on that boy.
“Jongin, some girl wanted your address.”
The boy had laughed, of course. His laughter echoed in the room.
The class was practically noisy at the moment, talking here and there, playing at the corner of the room, gossiping with each other and weirdly, in the midst of that – Inhae had managed to get her attention on Jongin only.
Weirdly as it sound.
“Not a phone number, but an address?” the tan boy chortled. “That was just a whole level of stalking, dude.”
Inhae hated the way Jongin seemed to be so proud whenever a girl confessed at him or when his friend told that there was a girl that wanted to know him. It sickens her.
Because she knew that he always turned those girls down. Because she knew that he would always laughed about those girls with his friends.
Because she knew that she could be one of those girls.
It really sickens her.
It was near some stupid test when Inhae found Jieun talking to her.
Jieun was from the same primary school as hers and it was a bit weird and also awkward seeing her trying to talk like they were best friends. And to add up, she wasn’t really from her class, Jieun was actually from another class and she just happened to hang out everywhere and whenever she wanted.
Sure, they had been talking sometimes and Inhae actually was thrilled when she found out that Jieun was going to the same school as hers, actually they are many girls that came to the same school as hers.
But Inhae wasn’t close to anyone of them. They were all like this popular gang that seemed to have agreed to go to the same high school together and she really didn’t want to get herself into it.
So, the thrilling sensation had died as soon as it just started.
“I think I’m going to fail this test. I didn’t study anything!”
“I think you’re going to be good. I mean, you’re pretty smart.”
Jieun had snorted. “I wish. Did you study though? You look pretty relaxed.”
She just shrugged. “I don’t find the need to.”
“Hey…”
Inhae felt her chest tightened the moment she saw Jaekyung walked inside, hands clasped onto Jieun’s shoulders and for a moment, she panicked because , they are friends.
“Do you have some money? I want to buy some snacks,,, I’m kinda hungry.” She had pouted and really, Inhae wanted to coo because she looked really cute.
And as if the girl noticed that she was staring, she looked back, beaming beautifully. “Hey…”
She really had to fake a smile, waving back.
Jieun had given the girl some money somehow and just watched as her friend walked away, not after sighing. “Can you believe her? She told me that she’s going to teach me something but just walk away the moment she saw her boyfriend…”
Inhae’s heart torn a bit. “Really?”
“Yeah, I was stuck with not knowing anything and she was all lovey-dovey with Jongin.”
“Jongin?”
“Yeah, you remembered Jongin, right?”
“You mean Jongin from my class?”
“Duh…who else…he is from our primary school.”
Inhae faked confusion all over her face. “Really?”
“Wait…you don’t remember him?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know…I don’t think so.”
She really didn’t know why she had lied.
