Eunji the hair of the woman behind her ear as she inched closer for a kiss.
“I don’t kiss,” Naeun rejected flatly, turning her body towards the opposite direction.
“Interesting.” Eunji tugged a smirk. “We’ve done this much, but you don’t kiss. How ironic?”
“That’s just how it is,” Naeun said indifferently.
“Alright.” Eunji shrugged. “How much?”
“No need,” Naeun deadpanned. “Just leave for now.”
Eunji struggled to keep a straight face from her request because she didn’t want to leave just yet. “Come closer,” she said, patting down the space beside her.
Naeun obliged and shifted closer to the older woman—their bodies now in contact.
“I don’t sleep well when I’m with someone,” Naeun said as she rested her head on the woman’s arm. “I usually wait for my guests to leave.”
“I can’t sleep well either,” Eunji replied, resting her chin atop of the fair woman’s crown. “I’ll leave soon.”
The two melted in each other’s warmth as they waited for the morning to come.

The tall woman groaned, her head throbbing from her hangover. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. “Holy !”
She immediately threw the blanket off her body, heaving a sigh of relief waking up fully clothed.
“Good thing I didn’t do anything stupid,” she mumbled to herself. “But why am I here?”
She stood up and stretched her neck. Her eyes landed on a yellow note atop of the bed table. The tall woman read the note while stretching her back.
Hello. I couldn’t leave you last night by yourself in the club so I brought you into my home. You didn’t have any IDs with you so I couldn’t find your address either. I’m sorry that I couldn’t take care of you right now. I need to go to work.
Her eyes widened in surprise that such a kind stranger took care of her. She continued to read the note.
There is a hangover drink in the fridge that I left for you. Call me with this number if you’re having problems.
She went to the kitchen and grabbed the drink. She clipped her phone between her ear and shoulder after dialing the number written on the bottom of the note.
“Hello?”
“Hello. Who’s this?” the tall woman asked while opening the bottle in her hands.
“I’m the one who’s supposed to ask that since you’re the one who called,” the woman on the other side retorted. “I’m assuming you’re the guest in my home, am I right?”
“Yes. That’s right. My name is Oh Hayoung.”
“I’m Kim Namjoo.”
“Thank you for taking care of me.”
“You’re welcome,” Namjoo replied. “The next time you drink by yourself, I hope that you won’t drink so much to the point that you can’t even wake up.”
“Sorry…” The tall woman blushed from the remark. “How can I repay you?”
“No need to do that,” Namjoo declined almost immediately.
“No, I insist.” The tall woman glanced on her wristwatch. “Two more hours until noon. I’d like it if I can treat you to lunch. You decide the place, anywhere you want.”
Lunch. That word was music to Namjoo’s ears. already started watering as she dreamt about her favorite food. She hadn’t eaten to her heart’s content in weeks because she had no money.
“Wherever I want to eat?” Namjoo asked slowly.
“Yes! Wherever you want to eat. I’ll even pick you up at your workplace and send you back afterwards.”
Namjoo paused for a few seconds and pretended to think over her decision before giving an answer. She didn’t want to seem that eager to her guest. “Okay…” she replied shyly.
“Alright.” Hayoung grinned. “Text me the address of your workplace. I’ll pick you up there.”
“Alright.” Namjoo’s workload was starting to get heavy at the moment so she needed to drop the call. “I need to go now. I still have work. Bye.”
Right after the call ended, Hayoung received the address which was a moviehouse from across the city. She immediately booked herself a cab and went home. After taking a long hot bath, she wore her matching grey Isabel Marant blazer and pants over her inner black Lacoste polo, along with a dirty white Nike sneakers to finish her outfit. After fixing her hair, she glanced at the clock.
“Oh , I’m late!”
She drove to Namjoo’s workplace and waited at the parking lot. A few minutes later, Namjoo texted that she was already outside the building.
Hayoung got out of her car to greet the blonde woman. “Hello!”
Namjoo stood still by the entrance, embarrassed with her own outfit. Her shabby janitor attire was nothing compared to what the tall woman was wearing. “You look… uhm… expensive,” Namjoo said, masking a smile. She wasn’t expecting the tall woman to wear an expensive-looking suit, moreover, to have her own car.
“What?” Hayoung frowned in confusion.
“Nothing.” Namjoo forced a smile. “Can you wait for me for just a minute? I’m just going to change clothes.”
The blonde woman was about to go back inside the building when Hayoung grabbed her arm.
“You look fine,” Hayoung reassured her with a smile. She opened the door of the passenger’s seat, covering the blonde woman’s forehead as she entered the car. After that, she went to the driver’s seat. “So where do you want to eat?” she asked.
“Anywhere, right?” Namjoo asked slowly, raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah,” Hayoung answered. “You have somewhere in mind?”
“Yeah.” Namjoo grinned so wide it almost reached her ears.
After taking a few turns, Hayoung was completely taken by surprise when they found themselves at the entrance of a popular buffet restaurant nearby—the place that Namjoo had suggested.
“You sure a
