The girls spend the day watching movies and playing around then at the end of the afternoon, they decided to dance again. Yerin kept helping Umji with the dance move while SinB was practicing with Sowon.

Yerin would give side looks to SinB time to time, it wasn’t good, SinB was getting worst and worst at it.

Yerin let go of Umji and walked toward SinB. “Not like that.” she said to her as she went behind SinB and put her hands on SinB’s hips to guide her. SinB was surprised at first but her body followed Yerin’s hands perfectly.

“Here you go, see?” asked Yerin as she took her hands away and took a step back.

SinB turned around and looked at Yerin. “Maybe you should help me more…” said SinB shyly and Yerin hesitated.

“You don’t need my help SinB you already know the dance by heart, you just need to find back the passion you had for dancing.” said Yerin sincerely and SinB looked down.

“I don’t think it’s possible.” she answered then Eunha came closer to them.

Sowon looked at her and smiled.

“It’s time to go.” said Eunha as she pointed her phone to Sowon. “Or you will be late for work.”

Sowon nodded. “Okay girls, I have to go, I will see you at school tomorrow.” They all nodded and Sowon left followed by Eunha that had to go to her house.

Umji sighed. “Well I guess it’s time to stop for today.” she said as she put back her jogging vest. “I will take a shower then we can do something, like going out or something? What do you think?” she asked and the girls nodded.

“I know a cool place we can try.” said Yerin and Umji nodded before leaving the room.

“Where is it?” asked SinB curious now.

“A cool place, you will see.” winked Yerin before stopping the music, but SinB stopped her.

“Wait, I think I want to try alone one more time…” said SinB shyly.

Yerin hesitated. “Alone?” she asked and SinB nodded. “But you need to get used to have people watching you…”

“I know…” said SinB looking down. “But I…” SinB stopped here and finally turned off the music, Yerin was right, she definitely wasn’t able to do it.

“You what?” asked Yerin coming closer and putting her hand under SinB’s chin to make her look up. “I know you can do it, you’re a great performer an amazing dancer. Don’t let Jackson ruin this for you… Don’t let him ruin your life...” added Yerin to reconfort SinB but the girl frowned.

“Easy to say… You didn’t go through what happened to me.” said SinB coldly. “Maybe I won’t be able to dance ever because of him.”

“Don’t say that. You’re stronger than that SinB.” insisted Yerin. “Show everyone that you can do it!”

“But I can’t!” answered SinB before sighing. “I really can’t… I think I should just give up on dancing...”

Yerin shook her head. “How can you say that? You can do it, seriously just believe in yourself as much as I believe in you, you can’t give up on your dream.”

SinB was getting a bit irritated with Yerin constantly telling her she can do it, she looked up at Yerin in the eyes. “And how can you ask me to dance when you won’t even try to dance yourself…?!”

Yerin looked at SinB shocked. “It’s not the same.” simply said Yerin clearly confused by SinB’s answer.

“How is it different? You clearly stopped dancing and don’t want to dance again. You can’t even dance for Yejun... So, it’s the same for me, I won’t dance ever again.” said SinB seriously. “And maybe instead of pressuring me, you should understand me…”

Yerin swallow hard. “Your situation and mine are completely different SinB, you can’t compare it.”

“I don’t think so. What’s so difference? We both have something that happened to us and that prevent us to dance again!” quickly answered SinB crossing her arms on her chest, getting more upset.

“You know nothing SinB!” said Yerin raising her voice and facing SinB. “Nothing.” she added before turning around ready to leave but SinB caught her arm to stop her.

“Then tell me.” said SinB more calmly. “You know so much about me, but like you said I feel like I know nothing about you…” said SinB and Yerin was still looking down. “Why did you stop dancing Yerin?” asked SinB lowly and Yerin finally looked up at her.

Yerin stayed silent a moment but didn’t move or ran away, SinB was still holding her arm, waiting.

“It’s because of my parents.” finally said Yerin and SinB saw tears streaming on the girl’s cheeks. “They died because of me…” she said as she hide her face in her hands to cry now.

“Yerin…I’m sorry... I didn’t know…” said SinB feeling guilty to make the girl talk about it. She came closer and hugged Yerin tightly.

“You couldn’t know…” said Yerin sobbing and hiding her face into SinB.

Yerin calmed down after some minute and they sat on the floor, their back against the wall. SinB let her arm wrapped around Yerin’s neck to keep her close.

“It was when I was 11 year old, I had a performance and begged my parents to come see me for weeks, they arranged their work schedule just to be able to come to my performance.” started to explain Yerin. “I was so happy, on the day of the performance, I was ready, I wanted to show them how good I was, I was dancing since years in my uncle school and I was one of the best for my age. I wanted them to be proud of me.”

SinB nodded and brushed away the tears that fell from Yerin’s eyes time to time while listening carefully to the girl.

“When I walked on the stage, I looked at the public and was searching for my parents, but I couldn’t find them… I started dancing hoping they were just late, I kept looking and looking as I did my move, hoping they would arrive before I finished my dance but they never came…”

Yerin started to cry again and SinB held her tightly. “It’s okay…” she whispered to her, caressing her hair slowly.

Yerin wiped her face and took a deep breath before continuing. “I was so mad, so mad at them for missing my show, they promised to come see me but they didn’t…. I was throwing a tantrum and I told myself that I would ignore them…” she sobbed and then she took a pause “Then a little later that day, my uncle announced to me that they had a terrible car accident on their way to the dance school and that they died on the spot…” as Yerin started to sob louder.

SinB took Yerin’s face in her hands and looked at her in the eyes. “Hey… it wasn’t you fault Yerin…” she said to her slowly.

“Of course it is… I begged them to come see me, they were on this road because of me… They would still be alive if it wasn’t for me and my stupid performance…” said Yerin regretful. “I wished so many time that I didn’t ask them to come see me perform and I wished so many times that I never liked dancing then that wouldn’t have happen….”

SinB patted Yerin’s head slowly, she wasn’t sure how to help Yerin feel better, it was a lot to digest for SinB and she was scared to say something bad. It was her that pushed Yerin to talk and now she wasn’t sure how to handle this.

“So that’s why you live with your uncle?” asked SinB trying to understand her a little better.

Yerin nodded. “He’s my father’s little brother, he immediately took care of me with his wife. He was also very broken by the loss of his brother, they created the dancing school together and they were very close.”

SinB nodded. “I understand…” she hesitated again but decided to continue. “So dancing is a family thing?”

Yerin smiled a little. “Yeah, my father used to make me dance all the time when I was very young, he send me to the dance school as soon as I was old enough to enter it.” she said remembering the nice moments she passed dancing with her dad.

“They must be so proud to see you dance.” said SinB smiling too.

Yerin nodded. “Yeah they were, but they started focusing more on their work as I grow up and would have less time for me, they missed a lot of my shows, and my dad didn’t have any time to practice with me anymore…”

“All I wanted was seeing them smile while seeing me dancing. They always look the happiest when they watched me dance…” added Yerin sighing.

“You know.” started SinB as she stood up and helped Yerin get up too. “I’m sure your parents are watching you from where they are now. And I think they would be very happy to see you dance for them again…”

Yerin bit her lips and looked down. “I don’t know SinB… My uncle told me many times after their death that they would be happy to know I’m still dancing but I don’t feel like it…”

“Yeah I know…” said SinB as she took Yerin’s hands in hers and faced her. “I don’t want to dance either because everytime I start dancing, I see Jackson’s face in front of me and I remember his hands on me and everything scare me…”

Yerin nodded. “Everytime I feel like dancing I feel guilty and everytime I tried to dance I ended up crying on the floor…” confessed Yerin.

SinB turned around and the music before facing Yerin again. “Maybe we could help each other overcome our fears…” she said hopeful.

Yerin frowned confused. “How?” she asked back.

SinB hesitated. “Well earlier, when you guided me, I could move well…” she started and Yerin nodded. “It was because all I was thinking about was you, I was focusing on you only, just like when you helped me face the mirrors again, I was looking at you, thinking about you and the silly faces you made in the mirror.” explained SinB and Yerin giggled lightly remembering this moment.

“So what are you suggesting…?” asked Yerin still confused about SinB’s explanations.

“Can we just try it out while focusing on each other only.” said SinB slowly as she started moving and doing the dance for the showcase, taking Yerin with her.

Yerin didn’t have time to answer and followed SinB, she knew the dance by heart after helping the girls practice and it wasn’t a too difficult dance for her. Yerin looked at SinB in the eyes all along and when they were not facing each other she would look for her reflexion in the mirror. They both danced together staring deeply into each other’s eyes, moving easily around each other, like they had always danced together.

Then the song ended, SinB find herself in Yerin’s arms, both of them breathing heavily. They suddenly heard someone clapping and moved apart from each other.

Umji was standing at the door, clapping and looking at them wide eyes. “It was so… Wow!” said Umji clearly amazed without better words to describe what she just witness.

Both girls blushed as their eyes met. “It was just… it’s not…We just tried something...” said Yerin while stuttering a little.

SinB nodded. “Yeah it’s just like that, to try.” she said and Umji arched an eyebrow.

“You seriously need to think about performing together.” she told them and both girls shook their head immediately.

“No way.” said Yerin. “I don’t dance. We won’t do it.”

“Yes you do dance Yerin, and so well, I never saw anything as amazing than this, you two looked so good, like you were made for dancing together!” insisted Umji.

SinB saw that Yerin was starting to feel uncomfortable.

“Umji don’t.” said SinB seriously and Umji stopped right away.

“We didn’t dance for the showcase, we did it for ourselves.” she explained. “Neither of us feel totally ready to perform right now, right?” she added looking at Yerin who hesitated but nodded.

“It’s getting late I have to go…” said Yerin quickly before leaving almost running away.

“What about our hang out?” asked Umji disappointed as Yerin was already gone.

“Next time buddy.” smiled SinB as she put her arm around Umji’s neck and they walked upstairs. “Time for me to shower then we can do something just together?” asked SinB with a smile and Umji nodded happily.
