Jiyoon had a bright smile as she saw SinB entering. “SinB!” she exclaimed happily.

SinB smiled at her and came closer to sit in front of the teacher’s desk.

“It’s been so long, I thought you had let me down.” said Jiyoon laughing. And SinB shook her head.

“No no, I was just busy with school and all.” she said shyly.

“How are you these days?” asked the teacher nicely.

“I’m fine.” just answered SinB.

Jiyoon smiled and looked at her in the eyes. “You look way better than last time I saw you. I was starting to really worry about you SinB.” she said sincerely and SinB looked down. She really didn’t want to make her unnie worry about her.

“So I guess you know why I wanted to see you?” asked Jiyoon and SinB nodded.

“The showcase?” answered SinB.

Jiyoon nodded. “Yes exactly. Gayoon and I are the last one to prepare, all the other classes has started already and we have a lot of performance this time. After the success of last time, more kids got interested in participating on the showcase and we also got way more students applying here so it’s a total mess.” explained Jiyoon and SinB nodded. She was glad the previous showcase helped the school get more students.

“So what is you final decision SinB? To be honest we really want you in our project. You are one of the best student I ever had and you can also sing pretty well, this performance would fit you perfectly.” added Jiyoon really wanting to convince SinB.

SinB shyly smiled and looked up at Jiyoon. “I really want to do it, from what you told me it seems to be a really interesting performance and honestly, I miss dancing.” said SinB sincerely. “But is it still a duo?” she asked and Jiyoon nodded. “I’m scared to not be able to know my partner well enough before the showcase…”

Jiyoon nodded. “It won’t be a problem, the two people we asked to participate are very good and very professional. So, no matter who end up doing it with you, I know everything will be alright.” explained Jiyoon and SinB hesitated. She wasn’t sure if Yerin was right, was she ready for all this? Now, she could handle people around her and looking at boys wasn’t scaring her like before but could she handle a dance partner that close to her?

SinB took a deep breath, she trusted Jiyoon, if the other dancers were as professional as her then it would be alright. That was what SinB repeated herself before nodding at the teacher.

“Okay unnie, I will do it.” she finally said feeling kinda relieved. “It’s really an honor for me to be able to do this performance that you and Gayoon unnie created.” said SinB sincerely.

Jiyoon was clearly excited by the positive answer but tried to remain calm. “It’s so great SinB! Thank you! I will send you everything for you to see what the project is about more in details; the dances, the songs, everything! You will also have to start training on your own since we will be really busy with all the other performance, my classes are taking all my free time…” explained Jiyoon honestly. “I will call you in three or four days and organise a training here with everyone.”

SinB nodded again and stood up. “I will walk you.” said Jiyoon but her phone rang. “It’s my wife. I hope she’s gonna announce me that she got a positive answer for our second dancer...” she said and SinB smiled.

“Answer her, I know the way out.” said SinB to reassure her and Jiyoon thanked her before answering.

SinB walked in the corridor and saw that Yerin was waiting for her.

“So?” asked Yerin curiously.

“I said yes.” answered SinB a little excited. She really missed dancing and performing, just remembering how she felt during the last showcase made her body shiver happily. “But if I understood well they are still waiting for an answer from the second dancer that will perform with me.

“Oh I thought they had someone already.” said Yerin confused. “The showcase is soon and everyone has started training, they better find you a partner quickly.”

SinB nodded. “Will Yejun’s class be part of the show too?” asked SinB curiously and Yerin nodded.

“Yep, he already know all the moves, he’s so ready.”

“Do you know what kind of performance there will be?” asked SinB a little worried. “I just realised that Jackson could be around…” said SinB as they passed in front of the class where she saw Yuju and Jackson training for the last showcase.

Yerin sighed. “I heard he would be around again this time so I won’t leave your side. He will do a singing performance again and wanted to do a dancing too with some other boys to redo popular boys band dances, but I don’t know more about it, I think they let that idea die since so many students want to be part of the showcase this time.” explained Yerin sincerely reassuring SinB. “I’m glad you are doing Jiyoon and Gayoon project and didn’t participate in other classes or you might have ended up doing a duo with that bastard…” confessed Yerin as it was something she heard some times ago.

SinB held Yerin’s arm and shook her head, she really didn’t want to think more about the boy. “I really can’t wait to see Yejun on stage.” said SinB as they walked outside.

“He’s so cute, I saw him training at the house, he’s really taking this seriously.” explained Yerin as she let go of SinB and looked around. “Will someone pick you up?” she asked not seeing any of their friends.

“I will walk don’t worry.” said SinB.

“Alone?” asked Yerin worried.

“Yeah, Umji told me to meet her at her house, it’s not that far from here.” said SinB smiling.

Yerin hesitated. “Are you sure? I can walk you half way and run back here or-”

“It’s okay Yerin.” cut SinB putting her hand on Yerin’s shoulder to reassure her. “I can do it. Don’t you believe in me?”

Yerin glared at her. “Of course I believe in you but…” Seeing that SinB was determined Yerin let her go. “Send me a message when you’re at Umji’s house.” said Yerin and SinB nodded as she walked away.

SinB walked slowly, she looked around and smiled, for once she felt relaxed, it’s been so long she didn’t take time to look around herself. the people, the houses, the cars. Since the incident, she would look down and rush to avoid all contacts but now she was okay, not every people were assaulter.

SinB was very unlucky with what happened with Jackson, but she realised it was only him, it was him the problem and not her or the other people. And realising this was making her feel more confident.

As she arrived to Umji’s house, SinB saw that that Umji’s parents were home, their car was in the alley. SinB checked her phone but she didn’t receive any messages from Umji. She walked to the door and knock before entering.

“Hello, is someone home?” she asked as she walked to the living room but it was empty. She went in the main kitchen but no one was there either. SinB frowned. She took her phone and called Umji.

“Hello?” answered Umji almost immediately. “Is everything alright?” she asked quickly.

SinB shook her head before realising she was on phone and that Umji couldn’t see her. “No no everything is okay, where are you? I’m at your house and your parent’s car is in the alley but the house seems empty…” said SinB a little confused.

“Oh i don’t know, I’m on my way, my class lasted longer because I stayed with the teacher a little to ask some questions.” said Umji as clueless as SinB. “I will be there in 10 minutes.”

“Okay I will look around to find them.” she said to Umji before sighing. “If your house wasn’t that big I would find them easily.” joked SinB and Umji giggled. “”I’m pretty sure you rolled your eyes at me right now.” said SinB and Umji laughed this time.

“Oh yes I did.” she said before hanging up.

SinB was about to put her phone back in her pocket when she thought about Yerin. She unlocked her screen and opened her convo.

“I’m at Umji’s house, safe and sound;) Don’t overwork yourself at the music school, see you tomorrow!” wrote SinB before sending it.

It took only some seconds before Yerin answered her. “Good:) See you tomorrow!”

SinB put her phone back in her pocket and leave her bag and her coat on the couch, she was about to look for Umji’s parents when they walked downstairs.

“Oh hello SinB.” they said surprised to see her. “How are you? Is Umji here too?”

“Hello appa, hello omma.” answered SinB with a big smile. “No Umji’s on her way she will be here in some minutes.” answered SinB smiling, she missed them a lot. “It’s nice to see you, I really missed you.” she told them and Umji’s mom took her in her arms. “Umji really miss you a lot too.” added SinB happily. “She will be so happy to see you.”

Umji’s dad cleared his throat. “I don’t think we will have time to see her.” he said sadly and SinB let go of Umji’s mother to look at them. “We quickly came back to take some files and clothes.” he explained calmly.

“Yeah we have to hurry or we will miss our flight.” added Umji’s mom. “Take care of our Umji and kiss her for us.” she said before they hugged SinB and rushed out.

SinB didn’t even have time to say anything and they were already in their car, driving out of the alley. SinB sighed and went to sit on the couch, Umji would be so disappointed to not be able to see her parents.

After some minutes Umji arrived. “Where are they? There’s no car outside.” she said as she threw her bag on the couch beside SinB and looked around.

“They left again…” said SinB sadly.

“Oh…” said Umji her smile fading away. “They didn’t even wait to say hi to me…” she said sadly and SinB stood up to hug Umji.

“They were sad to not see you…” she said to comfort her best friend. “I’m sure they will be back soon.” continued SinB.

“Yeah well if they came back and barely have time to spend with me, I rather not see them at all, it hurt less.” said Umji as tears came to her eyes.

SinB hugged her tighter. “They are really busy Umji, my parents are often out of the country too… economics are good theses days, they have lot of new contract and all, I’m sure it’s the same for your parents.” said SinB but Umji stayed silent.

SinB didn’t let go of Umji and caressed her back slowly. Umji calmed down.

“Plus remember you will always have me.” said SinB as she finally broke the hug and looked at Umji in the eyes with a nice smile. “We are family right?” she asked and Umji nodded before hugging SinB again.

“Thank you for being here SinB…” said Umji sincerely.

“Of course, we will always support each other, and after all you did to take care of me, let me take care of you this time.” answered SinB making Umji sit on the couch. “Tonight, I will cook for you!” she said excited as she want to make Umji happy.

“Well SinB I love you but I think it’s better if I do the cooking.” she said Umji not reassured at all to leave SinB in her kitchen.

SinB laughed and ran to the kitchen. Umji followed her. “Let me at least help you!” said Umji seriously.

“Okay okay, you can help me.” said SinB laughing as she started to look in the fridge to see what they could eat.

Umji was surprised to see that SinB wasn’t making instant noodles this time but made a real meal. It was a simple dish, but SinB was focused and did her best. Umji was happy to see her best friend like that.

Hello everyone! First I want to apologize for not posting yesterday!!! Was so busy during xmas time. We wish you all a belated merry xmas and happy new year in advance!! 

Soo!! SinB have confirm to join the showcase!!!! What kind of song and dance you think she will perform? :D Finally she can overcome her fear and decide to dance again in front of a crowd! I'm so proud of our baby! :P 

And Umji showing a sign of weakness here, it's rare right? Luckily, SinB is there for her too. And hahaha at the end when SinB decide to cook and Umji is like no let me help you! What do you think of this chapter? I hope to hear from you guys soon!!!
