Stars Without Night
"Happy birthday, Choi Yoojung, my lovely daughter," Her mum came to her room as soon as the clock strikes 12am.
Yoojung was about to sleep but managed to pass a slight smile to her mum. She couldn't see her dad anywhere; bet he's still busy with his work. When will he ever stop working and focus on the family instead?
Happy birthday. What an odd word to hear once every year, right? She never likes her birthday, because it will always end up with the same thing. People wished and then forget about it when the clock strikes 12am for the next day. There's nothing special though.
"We will celebrate your birthday tomorrow," Her mum said, "Dad will be here too, so don't worry," Her mum tried to assure the girl since she could see the anxious look on her girl's face even if it's dark in the room.
She smiled; half-heartedly and turned her body around and faced the wall instead. It's better to face the wall rather than human though. She thought.

"I heard today is your birthday," Sejeong took a sit beside Yoojung who was busy writing something in her notebook. Jihoon is nowhere to be seen today. He never late come to school.
Yoojung simply nodded her head and continued with the writing. Sejeon stand up and acted as it she's a mc in the class, "So, guys," Yoojung quickly grabbed the girl's hand to stop her.
Sejeong passed a smile to Yoojung then slowly put Yoojung's hand down, "It's Yoojung's birthday today so should we sing a song for her?" Everyone react to the words with applaused and they started to sing a happy birthday song for Yoojung.
Yoojung lowered her head; trying to hold back her tears as she felt this once, when she's still in Seoul back then. Somi would do this for her. But everytime Somi did that to her, she would lowered her head; because she felt embarrassed. But this time, the reasons were different.
