Sometime in 2014:

Kim Sojung and Jung Yerin met each other for the first time while Sojung was practicing. At first it was awkward between the two of them but since both of them were friendly and always practiced together they became very close.

Over the next few weeks, their CEO announced the entry of other trainees ( Hwang Eunbi, Jung Eunbi, Choi Yuna and Kim Yewon). They were told that they were going to debut as one group.

Kim Sojung was chosen as the leader by the members. Not only because she was the oldest but also because she was selfless, mature and really did take care of people she barely knew.

Usually common in other groups , they competed with their fellow members however this was not the case for Gfriend. They practiced singing, dancing together and helped one another during the tough times. Soon enough, each member began to care for one another like a family would. Together they fought through the hard times and laughed together.

Even after the debut, they didn't become selfish and forget. They already relied on another before even realising.
