Ryan’s POV: I listen to this song over and over. When I was little I remember when it would rain my brother would sing this to me so I can fall asleep.

[Flashback] 

“Ryan its 3am you should be sleeping.” Tae Yang said to me

“I can’t sleep the thunder is scaring me.” I whined

“Here you can sleep next to me tonight.” He moved over to the other side of the bed.”

“I’m sad.” I whispered to him.

“Why are you sad?” he questioned

“Dad went to a better place and mom just packed and walked out on us.” I reminded him.

“Don’t be you have me to look after you and dad is watching from above.”

“If you’re taking care of me how will you go to a dancing school?”

“That is something you shouldn’t worry about. All I care about is taking care of my little sister.”

“Thank you.”

“Oh you don’t have to thank me, anyways you have school tomorrow. Go to sleep.” He yelled

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

“Ugh I hate that!”

“I’ll be here to protect you.” he noted

I yawned.

“Can you sing me a song?” I asked

“Sure what song do you want me to sing?” he asked

“City of my heart” I smiled

He sang to me until I fell asleep, I remember him kissing my forehead then carrying me back to my bed. 

[End of Flashback]

“Ryan!” called the social worker.

“Yes?” I said

“The potential parents are here for you.” she noted

“Okay I’ll be down.”

“Alright five minutes?” she demanded

“Mmm” I nodded

I was hesitating to go downstairs. It’s awkward to be living in a house hold I don’t know about. What if they’re abusive? On drugs? Just plain psycho! Ugh Tae Yang and Appa please let it be a nice family. I walked into the kitchen and I saw an old man and I thought “EWW! A ERT IS GOING TO ADOPT ME!” He and the social worker saw me approaching so I faked a smile.

“Ah this is Ryan Kim and she is Seventeen.” Said the Social worker

“Great. I have two sons that are around your age.” He replied

Ick! Why do I feel like I am being bought? This is the most awkwardness feeling I have had. I didn’t say anything I just smiled.

“Sorry she doesn’t say much.” Said the Social worker

“Mmm I have a question.” I blurted

“Okay.” he said

“I’ll be 18 soon, will I be able to leave?” I questioned

“Yeah but I can guarantee you’d like the family.”

“Why?” I frowned

“Let’s just wait and see.”

Eww what a creep!

“Okay, so when do I leave?” I didn’t hesitate to ask.

“Uh right now if that’s okay?” The man asked the social worker

“Yes, just sign here. Here and here. And initial here.”

“Shall we go?” asked the Man

“Let me get my belongings.”

“Sure I’ll be waiting outside.”

When I got outside he was waiting by the limo and I was surprised because I haven’t been in once since my father was alive. Which was like six years ago?

“Well we are here. This will be your new home?” he assumed

“Beautiful home.” I said

“You don’t seem amazed.” The man observed

“Oh I’m sorry, I used to live in a house as big when I was younger.” I stated

“Okay. I have to do something so make yourself comfortable.” He suggested

I just nodded. I roamed around and I found an awesome… and can you guess what room that was? YES! The dance studio! I pressed play on the stereo and Se7en Digital Bounce started playing. I started dancing and singing along.

“Digital bounce, digital sound, digital x!” I shouted

A couple minutes later, this guy comes next to me and starts dancing. I smiled at him and we continued to dance.

"Annyeonghaseo" he greeted

"Hello" I waved

"i'm assuming you aren't korean?" he assumed

"I am Korean i just don't speak it often." I admitted

"So you must be the new adopted sister?" he asked

I nodded and smiled.
