"Good morning, sunshine!"

The words left my lips as though they were birdsong.

A gummy smile lingered on my face, a stark contrast to the solemn expression I had carried for so long.

It felt good.

I felt so much lighter than I did before.

My lips were no longer sealed with bricks of stone.

Instead, they were free.

I never sang before.

It was my sunshine's job to sing.

But now, I sang with him.

I loved it.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.

You make me happy, when skies are grey.

You never know dear, how much I love you.

Please don't take

My sunshine away."

I frowned at the last lyric, a subtle thought lingering in my mind.

Away.

I contemplated over what that could've meant, a dark expression replacing my formerly cheerful one.
