A miracle, the miracle which glimmered before me,

My sunshine.

He came back to life–

No, he was never dead.

He smiled, stretching out his hand and beckoning for me to follow.

I shrugged the constricting sheets off of my shoulders,

And began to lift myself from the creaky bed frame.

At least, I tried to.

A sharp ringing filled my ears,

Some sort of cotton was obscuring my vision.

My sunshine was no longer light-years away,

Nor was he miles away.

He was simply a couple inches away,

Yet I could not reach.

My breath began to catch in my throat, threatening to choke me.

I could feel that tears were now coming down with no end

And I couldn't breathe.
