Permeate
It's Complicated [INDEFINITE HIATUS]
"What happened today?
I hear your voice everyday
But why does it always sound new?"
-LEE HAE IN, PERMEATE
From: Honey Hyung
Did you get the invitation cards from Mingjun? Or uncle Jun, perhaps? It’s uncle Jun and uncle Minghao’s 15th wedding anniversary and we’re all supposed to come.
To: Honey Hyung
None, we’re at Dad’s. I have no idea about the anniversary but it was probably sent to Umma. Where are you, hyung?
From: Honey Hyung
We’re at the airport, waiting for Jeongsoo and uncle Joshua to arrive.
To: Honey Hyung
Okay, take care, hyung.
From: Honey Hyung
Are you forgetting something?
To: Honey Hyung
Huh?
From: Honey Hyung
Nevermind. See you at the event.
Seokhwee had a frown on his face after reading the last text but his train of thoughts was interrupted when Haru patted his chest to get some attention, making him jerk up a bit and hide his phone on his back as he was currently lying down on the couch. “Yes, baby?”
“When will Appa be home?” the four year old asks as he climbs up above Seokhwee to lay his head on his chest. “I miss Appa.” Haru pouts and Seokhwee cooes at the cuteness.
“Later tonight, Haru-ah. Okay?”
The younger nods.
They have been in Mingyu’s unit for hours now and their Dad still hasn’t come back home yet. Seokhwee figured there might be some kind of turbulence at work again and that he’d be home late. He was really glad that they were provided with their Dad’s passcode in case of events like this or if Mingyu was still sleeping.
“He’s probably screwing around with his secretary again.” Jungmin snorts as he makes his way to the kitchen coming out from the gameroom that Mingyu set up for them. Well, even if it was for the three, Jungmin is the only one who uses it and he rarely goes out from there once he’s inside.
“Shut it, Jungmin.” Seokhwee hisses but not spiteful enough to wake up the now sleeping four year old on his chest.
Jungmin makes his way towards the living room now with a glass of orange juice in his hand, a smirk on his face as he eyed his brothers on the couch. “Don’t you remember what happened that time, huh? He almost got Haru killed because of that of a secretary who only leeches off of him.”
“No one wants to remember that, Jungmin.” Seokhwee warned.
“It’s etched forever in my memory. It’s one of the greatest reasons why I hate him so much–“
A low sounding ‘beep’ was heard throughout the whole unit that made the two brothers’ conversation cut. Shuffling of feet and thuds were heard from the doorway and the unmistakable voice of their father was also heard. “I’m home.” He announces timidly, already knowing that his sons were inside as the receptionist from the ground floor had informed him of their arrival.
Jungmin scoffed and went back to the game room to cave himself in while Seokhwee proceeded to poke Haru’s cheek to wake him up from his slumber.
