“Ah! Nice! I aced the exams again, I’ll definitely have that car now~” Mingjun snickers as he skips his steps, alongside Hansol whom he picked up from university. “What do you think, hyung~?”

Hansol chuckles from the younger’s antics and he ruffles Mingjun’s hair affectionately. “Your hyung’s proud of you. You’ll definitely get that car. I’ll bug Jun hyung to give it to you.”

“Thanks, hyung~”

“How’s it going with Seokhwee though?” Hansol tilts his head to the side and looks at Mingjun with curiosity as he leads them inside a café, of course they needed to celebrate Mingjun acing his exams. They always do, anyway.

Mingjun sighs softly at the question and he scratches his head at that. He and Seokhwee were never really progressing as it was like it’s always a push and pull between them both. Seunghan always gets in the way and somehow, Seokhwee always goes with the eldest even though he shows signs of wanting to be with Mingjun. He never really understood what was up with Seokhwee’s attitude, he only knows Seunghan’s possessiveness that developed because of how his family works. Not in literal terms.

“Mingjun?” Hansol pops his bubble of thoughts and the younger shook his head with a smile on his face.

“Same old. Nothing’s progressing.” He says in all honesty accompanied with a shrug. He hopes the older wouldn’t ask more.

Mingjun and Hansol have developed quite a good friendship bond since Hansol was always the ring bearer on all three weddings in the circle of friends. Hansol was everyone’s childhood friend and ‘hyung’ who always looked out for them. But Mingjun and Hansol are the closest of them all since the Korean-American teen had paid special attention the most to the only child in the circle of friends. Hansol is the son of one of the college boys’ professors and mainly Jun’s adviser in their university so they really got along well.

With that said, Hansol knew that something was up even though the younger wouldn’t tell him, but he didn’t want to pry as he also got the message from the other that he didn’t want to further talk about it.

He was about to enter another topic in their conversation when he was interrupted by the constant ringing of Mingjun’s phone.

“Hello, uncle? What’s the matter?” the younger answers the call with a frown on his face.

“….”

“Okay, okay. Can I bring Hansol hyung along with me too?” he asks again.

“….”

Hansol tilts his head to the side, curious who is Mingjun talking to. He raises at eyebrow and waves his hand in front of the younger’s face and the younger giggles softly at his senior’s antics. He raises a palm in front of Hansol to signal him to stop so he could talk properly without laughing.

“Yes, uncle. Okay. I understand. We’ll be there in fifteen to twenty minutes.” He says lastly before ending the call.

“What was that? Who was that?” Hansol incessantly asks.

Mingjun smiled softly but let out a small sigh after. “Wooseung is in the hospital because he got chased and mauled by a dog.” He starts. “Now, all parents are with him and they refuse to leave the place so we need to get to their house and pack up stuff. The others are still in school so I was the one who the contacted. We first need to get there in the hospital for house keys. You in?”

Hansol looked really worried at that and he nods, patting Mingjun’s back comfortingly. “Of course I’m in. I’m the universal brother. I should be there!”

Jeonghan and Jihoon were both left in Wooseung’s hospital room. Jihoon is in one of the sofas a bit far from the bed and Jeonghan was right by Wooseung’s side, holding his son’s hand with his thumb rubbing over the back of Wooseung’s hand. His face looked really sullen and his brows were in a small frown, still continuing to blame and question himself silently in his head because of what happened.

Jihoon watched as the scene before him unfolded. He watched as Jeonghan’s thin pink lips land softly upon Wooseung’s bruised forehead, watched as Jeonghan let silent tears fall from his eyes in worry. He watched as the male was comforted by two beautiful men, hugged and kissed to no end.

Wooseung is still sleeping and both parents knew that the boy is less likely to wake up with their antics. Jeonghan smilesat this and looks up, eyeing Jihoon softly before calling for him. “Jihoon, don’t you want to hold his hand?” he asks in his genuine tone.

That’s where Jihoon falls apart inside. The fact that he accuses Jeonghan of being too possessive over Wooseung when now in front of him, there was the male, offering such thing to him. Looking back, it was mostly his fault, having to be involved in such an affair. Had he not let Seungcheol have his way with him, he wouldn’t be in this hospital room miserable in hesitation.
