“I am crying hard because... I... I still love you too, Oppa.”

That sentence... her words... slapped Yonghwa really hard. It is just like death news for him. His right hand which initially held Seohyun’s face – after wiping her tears – now touched the ground, supporting his body from falling. His face facing the ground, and his back seems to be like EXID’s song, up and down, after some moment not moving – he forgot how to breathe after Seohyun’s confession. This is the nth surprise for him.

What is Seohyun just said? She still loves me too? Yonghwa! Don’t be illusioned! Jeongshin charyeo! Get a hold of yourself! Yonghwa still don’t believe what he just heard.

“Oppa, this is not your delusion, it is not an illusion.” She is like an angel, knew what is inside Yonghwa’s head, and her short saying brought Yonghwa back. A warm tear fall again from Seohyun’s eyes to Yonghwa’s hand, made he lifted his head to see his beloved swollen eye.

Seohyun ah, what are you thinking? He thought.

“Oppa, mianhae, this is my fault. If I didn’t end the tie you, if I didn’t left your side, If I were honest with you, maybe, maybe our relationship can be better, maybe we can be together, hiks.”

 “Ani Hyun ah, now you should be happy with your husband, eoh? Be a good wife to him, I know he is a good person. I didn’t tell you all this to ruin your wedding. Keunyang... Anyway, I am really sincere saying this. Be happy with him. I will punish myself if you are not happy with him because of me. Eoh?”

“How can you know If I am happy or not? Oppa, did I ever you that I will be happy with him? You don’t even know his name, who is he, but you said he is good? I never want this wedding in the first place. Not even once, if not because of Abeoji. How can I be happy with this kind of marriage? Eotteokhaeyo Oppa, tell me what should I do to be happy...hiks.” Seohyun raised her voice, showing that she is not sincere with her own wedding. She wanted to hold Yonghwa if not for his Aboeji’s request.

“Aboenim? What is it? What happen to him?Why?” Seohyun closed her eyes, bite her lower lips, and take a deep breath before answering.

“Actually, he went bankrupt so we must go to Japan that time. And then, his old friend gave a hand to us, helping my father to start a new business. He is a well-known businessman in Japan. Abeoji really debt a lot to his friend. Short story, his friend had a son. The only son. And he is... he is attracted to me and asked his father to match us. Aboeji’s friend using their old promise to make me his daughter in law.”

“Promise?”

“Ne, they made promise to match making us and because his son likes me, he wants to really make me his daughter in law. My father, who really feels sorry and thankful for his friend, asked me, ani, forced me to marry his friend’s son. Why am I being the victim? Ah, jinjja, I really don’t want this marriage. He is really a nice person, he takes care of me well, but I don’t love him, Oppa. Because you are the only one for me. But I couldn’t reject my father’s request, since this is his only request for me. You know well that he used to be really good to me and never request anything from me, despite growing me up alone since my mother passed away. Hiks. Jeongmal mianhaeyo Oppa. Mianhaeyo...” Seohyun cried really hard. Yonghwa reflexively hug Seohyun.

 “Kwenchanha, as long as he cares for you, he can make you happy, he loves you, and you make effort in loving him, you will be fine, have a happy and blessing wedding life.” Yonghwa tried really hard to sound as calm as ever.

Yonghwa patted her tip head softly, and his mouth never stops saying ‘Kwenchanha’. The more she cried, the more tightly his hug. Once a while, he kiss her head, showing his affection towards her, smelling the nice fragrant from her favorite shampoo – something that he really miss and maybe his last time -. Closing his eyes, Yonghwa recall what have been happened between them.

Oh my God, why all this could happen to us? Can’t you let us happy together? What did we do in the past life that you punish us this hard? Why fate really cruel? Why? Why?

Why didn’t you tell her ten years ago that you love her, Jung Yonghwa! Why? Why? Why did you let her run just like that? But get a hold of yourself now. This time, how regret you are, you must let her go.

“Hyun...” No answer. She is still sobbing.

“You must promise me that you will have the wedding and live happily after. You will promise me, right?” Still no answer.

“Hyun...” and finally she nodded.

“Keundae, I don’t think I can attend your wedding. You are okay with it, right? And she nodded again.
