Car Accident
     What would you do if your s/o got in a car accident and all you could do was wait back at the hotel?

She looked so beautiful standing there with her back to me. The city lights illuminated her giving me a glimpse at an angel. I’m sure that’s what she is.

I didn’t have the nerve to call her too me. Seeing her like she was now was too mesmerizing. If I had a camera, I’d take a picture of her to preserve this, to preserve her. I wouldn’t want to disturb her though. She looked too peaceful.

I was just about to call her when she turned around of her own accord. Her eyes were shut, but her tears weren’t hidden. It was only now that I understood her appearance from behind. She looked peaceful because she was too overcome with emotion to do anything else.

I continued staring at her in an attempt at willing her to open her eyes. I need her to know I was here, but I couldn’t move. My feet were one with the floor, centered by concrete to hold me steady. My voice was gone as my throat was constricted. Looking at her cry hurt just as much as crying myself. Then finally, her eyes opened.

Our glances met, but not long before she spoke.

“Are you ok?” I nod my head yes, not trusting in my voice and before I finished my second nod her arms were draped around my neck. I could feel her body quake against me as h
