It’s strange to see you here and not Yoongi.
Jar of secrets“Are you feeling better now?” My head was on Yoongi’s chest. I nodded. I was feeling a little numb because of the crying, but I didn’t feel pressured anymore. I was sure spending some time with them was going to lift up my mood. All that crying and finally accepting that I didn’t need to carry everything on my shoulders made me a bit tired.
“Are Jackson and Mark already there?” I whispered.
“Yes. Do you want to go down or to lie down a little bit? You must be tired.” He kissed the top of my head and I smiled slightly.
“I want to go down. When they go home, I need to talk to you about something important.” He simply nodded. We stood up and went out of the room, hand in hand. When we entered the living room, everyone smiled at us. I greeted Jackson and Mark with a hug. I looked at them, sitting close to each other and smiled at Mark. I lifted an eyebrow, making a mute question, and he nodded, blushing. My smile grew wider and Jackson smiled back.
“What’s for dinner?”
“Fried chicken. We ordered a few minutes ago.” Jimin answered. Since all places in the couches were taken, Yoongi and I sat on the floor and participated in the conversation.
“You should have seen, Mark. He looked so ridiculous with that dress.” Namjoon teased his friend.
“That’s not true. I looked hot in that dress.” Jackson fought back.
“Jackson, do you remember when I took Namjoon to fly for the first time?” Jackson and I started, laughing.
“That was the loudest and most girlish scream I’ve ever heard coming from you, Namjoon,” I commented while laughing.
“I don’t remember it, but I’m sure I had the right to scream. One thing is flying on a plane. Another is seeing the trees getting smaller and smaller. I was a human once and now I’m a vampire. None of those two was made to fly.” He argued back and all of us laughed. I was glad that losing his memories didn’t stop Namjoon from defending himself. It made me feel like those memories weren't as important as I thought, but that the feeling of belonging together was enough.
“Me want to take you home once,” Minnie admitted her desire.
“But we can’t breathe underwater,” Jungkook stated the obvious.
“You can. You just drink my blood and you breathe underwater.” She explained and you could tell by Jimin’s face that he didn’t like that idea at all.
"Chill, Jimin. It's not what you're thinking." I said while trying to hold back my smile. "We did that once. A drop of her blood is enough. Last time, she let fall a drop of her blood in a cup of water.” His facial expression relaxed immediately.
“Why did you need to go undersea?” Mark asked curiously. Everyone looked at me, waiting for an answer.
“Minnie’s cousin had poisoned me. It was meant for Minnie but I took the drink for her. Arkila wanted to get rid of Minnie because she was supposed to marry the man she liked. To heal me, we needed to go get a fish that only lives in her palace.”
“Now I understand why Arkila glad I go up here,” Minnie whispered to herself.
“It’s really beautiful where she lives. You wouldn’t like it there, Jin and Tae.” I smiled.
“Why?” Both asked confused.
“Namjoon and Jungkook were really popular between the mermaids.” Jin’s smile vanished immediately. Taehyung growled lowly and moved closer to Jungkook, who seemed pleased with his mate’s possessive reaction. All of us laughed at their reaction. The bell rang and Hoseok went to the door. I looked quickly at Ara who was talking with Taehyung. I would like to know what happened, but she would tell me later or I would force her to. Hoseok came back with the chicken and bottles of Coke. Just by smelling the chicken, I felt slightly nauseous but decided to ignore it. I didn’t want to worry them for anything. They had always been really protective and atencious with me due to my specie being weaker than theirs. Therefore, they were always worried about my health. We were eating and chatting cheerfully. Jin and I were telling funny stories about old times. Mark seemed comfortable with us and showed curiosity about their world.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” I told them and I went off, running. They laughed, probably thinking I wanted to come back quickly, but I wasn’t feeling well. I didn’t even have time to close the door. I kneeled down in front of the toilet and threw up. I got scared when I felt the taste of blood. Jungkook passed through the door running and kneeled beside me. He took my hair out of the way and made circles on my back to console me. He helped get up when I was done and took me to the sink so that I could wash my mouth.
“How are you feeling?”
“Better now that I put everything out.” I smiled a bit. “It’s strange to see you here and not Yoongi,” I commented.
“For us downstairs we didn’t hear anything wrong. You were taking too long and I came to check on you.” He explained.
“It might be me. My ability to shut you down must be a bit out of control because I’m not feeling that well.”
“That would explain it. We should tell them that you just threw up blood. It could be something serious.” Jungkook suggested.
“I think y
