Chapter 12
This Thing called 'LOVE'
Aeri rushed her way into the Company while all the employees stood in the sidelines , bowing to her.
Reaching her office, Aeri quickly dialed secretary Ahn's number.
"Ahn secretary did she arrive? What's her name ?"
Secretary Ahn who was busy attending to Kiko and her manager excused herself out of the room.
"Young Miss where are you ?" - Ahn secretary replied sounding a bit agitated.
"I'm in my office."
"Come to the meeting room in the 4th floor. Her file is kept on the desk. Go through it quickly. The model's name is Kiko."
Inside the meeting room Kiko couldn't help but think how ridiculous the situation was, that she was waiting for the president from past 5 minutes.
"Don't they have time sense ?" - Kiko complained to her manager.
"Actually Park Song hee's daughter is handling the company since yesterday as her mother's condition wasn't good." - her manager replied.
"How old is she to not have any time sense?"
"She's only 22."
"Wow I guess they treat this label as a joke to give it to a mere 22 year old."
"Well her skills make her eligible for it. Apparently it was Jiyong and her idea to make the last minute changes on the previous month's clothing piece which made the headlines and the company got heavily praised for it. I wonder how much buzz would be created if the media came to know it was made by her and Jiyong."
Before Kiko could further gather any information the doors opened and Aeri walked in with confidence and class just radiating out of her, giving out a very catchy vibe. She wore a waist high straight cut white pants with a chanel V cut black shirt and teamed it up with a golden neck piece and stud ear rings.
The first thought that went into Kiko's head was - Waw she has everything it takes to be a model.
"I'm sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Park Aeri, daughter of Park Song hee." - Aeri politely extended her hand.
"So you are Aeri." - Kiko mumbled under her breath.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm Kiko Mizuhara."
"Shall we start discussing the terms on which you signed to be our main model?"
The discussion didn't seem to go at good terms at all, with Kiko cross questioning Aeri every single time. It was almost as if Kiko was looking down on Aeri, and there was nothing Aeri could do about it other than politely answer her never ending queries.
"Don't you think it's too plain to be on the cover of any magazine? I mean the colors are very masculine or you can say dull. It almost gives out a very depressing vibe" - Kiko asked in a taunting tone.
"We had a long discussion about which piece to be featured and all of us agreed on it. So I don't find any problem with it. With all the brands wanting to just produce flashily things, we have planned to keep it simple this time." - Aeri replied with a smile on her face, trying to sound as sweet as she could.
"Hmmmm well it's up to you. I hope you don't get into any trouble. I gave you my bit of suggestion."
Kiko was pushing Aeri to her limits. Kiko questioned almost every decision Aeri had made. Thankfully after an hour Kiko stopped with all the questioning as she had some other schedule to attend to. The relief that swept Aeri's face was a sight to be looked at.
"One more question and I swear I would have killed her." - Aeri cursed plopping on the couch of her office.
"Actually I'm impressed." - Secretary Ahn replied.
"Why?"
"I thought you would unleash your rage at her, right there and then, but you held it in."
"I don't want mother to take the blame for my mistakes so figured it would be better to put up with her."
"The thing is.... This is the first time I have seen Kiko behave in an unprofessional manner. This is the second time she would be our main model, the first time she came she was sweet and very professional which is why we thought she would be the perfect fit for this collection. I was shocked seeing her question you because the last time she had agreed to everything blindly."
"Who cares, I'm just glad she agreed." - Aeri replied getting up from the couch and straightening her shirt.
"Let's leave. We need to see how well our people are managing things."
Jiyong was in a deep slumber when he heard his phone buzz. Last night had been hell. After their visit to the Park's, Jiyong and the rest of the members returned back to their studio to finish of few recordings. But tired to their bones, the members couldn't help but slack off. Jiyong already had a lot on his mind, specially Aeri's matter and with the members not working as hard as he wanted them to, Jiyong yelled at the members with Seungri facing the maximum wrath, though he wasn't at fault. Thankfully the members understood Jiyong's frustration and didn't cause a scene. When Jiyong calmed himself, Taeyang suggested that it was better to wrap up for the day rather than continuing with a frustrated and tensed atmosphere.
"Hello ?" - Jiyong answered, his voice hoarse.
"Feeling better now?" - Tae Oh questioned.
Jiyong shifted himself, now laying sideways on the bed, his phone squashed between the pillow and his ear with his cat resting next to his pillow.
"Hmmmm kinda"
"Good cause you need to stop by the studio in an hour. I'm almost done with the track you wanted."
"huh?" - Jiyong mumbled, still drowsy to understand what Tae Oh was saying.
"YOUR.TRACK.IS.READY." - Tae Oh stressed every single syllable.
"Seriously?!" - Jiyong got up with a jolt.
"Yes, you idiot."
"Wow. I'm on my way!"
"Take your--" - Before Tae Oh could complete his sentence, Jiyong disconnected the call - "I am still in my office" - Tae Oh murmured.
It was only 5 PM and Aeri was drained out completely. All she wanted to do now was, go home, plop on her bed and sleep. But work was piled up, the designers where still working on the main piece, doing the changes which Aeri suggested. Half of her afternoon was spent explaining the designers what exactly was her idea and how she wanted it to appear and the other half was spent having meetings with the retailers and VOGUE magazine team who wou
